We were travelling with a dog and were happy to find a place with such a good hospitality. Location was good and everything was clean and nice. The owner answered quickly to our e-mails and even contacted us a day before our arrival. Very friendly atosphere.
Excellent location and a wonderful B&B. 5 minutes walk to the city center and a short drive to the station. Andrea was very welcoming, considerate and helpful. We were made to feel at home.
Nice and welcoming BB, perfect location and very friendly Host.
location, room size, building architecture, atmosphere, person in charge, breakfast( too many cookies though )
we had big and heavy luggage and there were a lot of stairs outside and inside the apartment
Fantastic location, sweet and quiet room. High ceiling. Clean.
Breakfast did not change for 3 days - literally.. The pancake leftovers, the home-made cake leftovers were so stale by the end. They were dense to begin with, it took so long for it to go down despite constant washing down with coffee. Also the first set of stairs were wide and ok, but the second set inside the b & b were quite narrow and hard to bring up the luggage.
Our stay at Casa Ilaria was very comfortable. Our room was quiet and the external bath was not a problem at all, more spacious than most others. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade offerings each day. Taziana was very helpful with finding our way around, and a wonderful cook! It was a peaceful retreat from a very busy city.
The location was safe and I felt very safe inside, but I would not have felt comfortable after dark on the street if I had been alone.
Tiziana is maybe the best host we've ever met. Her award-worthy cakes make breakfast an event and her easy going and helpful character makes you feel just like being at home. Her charming sense of humour forms the small group of strangers around her large breakfast table to almost a family. The room with its high ceiling is very comfortable and very quiet - and this in the middle of the University Quarter!
As the number of rooms is quite small, the fact, that the private bathroom is only accesible through the corridor becomes a minor issue. In fact: There's absolutely nothing to complain.
My friend and I had a great stay at casa ilaria. Tiziana was understanding and helpful and the acclimation was great! Breakfast was also very yummy.
We liked everything about our stay great location for seeing everything, very comfortable and staff very helpfull. We could not ask for better.
Great place. In the city centre, close to everything. The owner, Tiziana, makes a decent coffee and really yummy cakes for breakfast. Highly recommended.
The rooms have the window in a small courtyard which means that you don't have much noise as you would otherwise get in this central area. The breakfast is rich and very good. Internet works very well. The position cannot be better.
The bathroom is not directly linked to the room so you have to walk outside. The building must be old so that you can hear a lot the noise of the different bathrooms. It was still ok but not as quiet as expected from the comments. Although the owner is very polite and kind, it misses the conviviality that you would expect in a bed and breakast. For example, you cannot use the fridge to store anything but instead you can buy beer from the owner.
Very good location and good value for money.
The room had an overpowering smell of soap
Location. Manageress Tiziana extremely helpful and lovely.
Very steep staircase from main room up to bedroom. Difficult for cases.
Casa Ilaria is located very nice at the heart of the student quarter with plenty of cafes and restaurants and a 10 min walk from Piazza Maggiore. The common area is big and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent with a diverse selection; Tiziana’s cakes are unsurpassed. Our room (camera Blu on de upper floor) was spacious, properly maintained and clean. Sounds of the city hardly penetrate certainly not if the windows are closed. The owner Tiziana is a gifted hostess; from the first moment on she gives you the feeling that you are welcome.
Soundproofing of the inner walls and floor is moderate. Possible disturbance will depend on noise made by other guests. The stair to the upper floor of Casa Ilaria is narrow and steep not suitable for people with physical limitations. There are two rooms on the main floor.
Tiziana was very helpful and hospitable.
homy atmosphere friendly host perfect location
nice cakes for the breakfast but in general I wish there were more variety for breakfast
Friendly atmosphere, tasteful facilities, homemade cakes and pies are delicious If only in Brussels there was a place with such hospitality!
Very nice room and bathroom, a sympathic and friendly host and good breakfast. Charming place to stay , we can recomand it to everybody!
Lovely owner and staff. Casa Illiara is a lovely small BandB in a the older part of the city. Great room, bed and breakfast. Highly recommended.
Stairs to 2 rooms
location - room was quiet and recently redecorated in a very active and busy neighbourhood near the university wtih restaurants and bars; fresh pastries at breakfast; liked flexibility and late cancellation possibility
television didn't work
The B&B is a perfect mix of home and hotel. And the location is superb. Our room was huge and comfortable. The host and her son were very helpful and nice. We enjoyed our 2-day stay enormously!
Location is great !! Can not be better in Bologna Just like its name , feels like home Rooms are clean and decoration has a soul Breakfast is sweet , Italian , tasty
Agree with last reviewer- for some reason wasn't expecting a b and b - thought I'd booked us into hotel but this was excellent and much more relaxing. In a nice part of town near the university- (and lovely bird song in the morning. )We were there for 3 nights. The owner was totally charming and gave us excellent advice on where to eat and booked us in - always charming family run restaurants -everything in historical bologna is easy to walk too, so we walked and walked. Breakfast is provided at a communal table and is excellent- the treat of a fresh egg! Would certainly recommend it.
Good location, good attitude of the host, far from railway station on feet with laggage (20-30 min) and not easy to find at first time, but taxi is not expensive (really recommended to use)
In B&B there was a bit cold, but as I understood, because of high ceiling. Was surprised that it's a real priblem in Bolonia to find a good restaurant at the lunch time!!! We were recommended to visit 3, but everything was closed till 5 p.m...
