Apartment is in a great location, close to water/water taxi stop, train station, grocery, restaurants. Bedrooms are on the second floor and apt. is over a store, so be prepared for stairs, but walking up hills is a "given" in any Cinque Terre location. Lots of space, great 2nd floor balcony. Plenty of pots/pans, etc. in kitchen (once I found the cabinet they were in!) so we were able to make coffee and eat in some times. A very good value overall.
Very musty/damp. Needs to be aired out. Second small bedroom (unused by us) really smelled bad. I also wish the bedding and linens were updated. A tiny bit of upgrade and this place would be phenomenal.
Fantastic view and very kind supports of staffs.
location fantastic views
room was stuffy
Nice staff. When first apartment wasn't ready, did provide an upgraded place. Was able to do wash & have high-speed internet. Good location & nice view of ocean from small balcony. The rental company even offered small excursion (wine-tasting) in local area (paid separately).
Arrived for check-in and our first place wasn't cleaned yet - disappointing, but did provide alternative place quickly. Very basic place and tv didn't work. Needs a remodel. One of the shower doors was missing, so water went all over. There were tons of mosquitoes.
the view; the location; the 70's style interior design. loved the fact that we had a kitchen and fridge and could cook for ourselves. wifi was good The balcony is great for a couple. shower a bit small.
Great location at the top of the city had beautiful views out of each room.
Beautiful sea view, nice, clean and comfortable appartement. Perfect spot for trip with friends
You can see the apt when you take the post card picture from the pathway opposite the village. It's all the way at the top so it's a hike to walk up but fortunately a ramp to drag your suitcase so you won't have to carry. The room is quite basic but clean. Bed comfortable. Highlight is the balcony view, overlooking the see the hills in distance. Worth the money.
Very nice apartment which we booked for 2 floors with beautiful view of Manarola. Sitting on the balcony, having lunch and wine, enjoying the sunshine and sea, it is a marvelous experience.
It is very far away from the car parking, really exhausted when we get there. Better go by train, which is much nearer. The staff is nice, but there is one guy who is not very helpful.
We were staying just for 2 nights. The apartment is huge for such a short stay (we should stay longer). Very close to everything (sea, train station) and not much climbing. We like the staff from Arbaspaa agency. They notified us in advance about train strike. It helped us to navigate our trip from Milan to Manarola. They provide us with wi-fi (the apartment didn't have it). The agency has more apartment in different part of the town.
Just a little thing - the apartment was close to everything, which meant to tourist traffic too. It was a little noisy.
We loved the balcony where we ate our meals and watched the world go by below us. It was nice and close to the coast.
The place was fairly old inside and had not been updated at all.
The apartment was in a great position with a balcony and great views. We had a kitchen (also with a great view) which we didn't use but we couldn't fault the place other than that it was an uphill climb with our luggage. All worth it though! The booking staff were very helpful and sorted out our parking facility for us. I would recommend anyone with a car to book the parking facility well in advance. Manarola would be our choice of the five towns even though we only visited the other ones.
Loved the location and our room overlooked the Mediterranean. Great walking distance to everything
There was no shampoo or soap, so we had to buy it, so it you stay there, you may want to bring your own.
Being high enough away from the main street with a view of the sea. easy walk up. Stairs down to the sea or the ramp up to the apartment was very easy with luggage. The view was amazing! The apartment is set into the rock, decor was tasteful . Nice kitchen, big bathroom.Bed was comfortable.
I was sent an email with directions from the train station and a note saying we'll be waiting for you. I climbed the stairs, rang the bell a young girl opened the door and said WE"RE CLOSED!!! and she was about to leave, It was 1:45pm. She didn't even say hello,or sorry we are closed, come back after 2pm, here is where you can leave your bags. I had to argue with her to leave our bags there for 15mins. We were hungry and tired. This was our first impression of the company not good. When we got back at 2pm a fellow named Stephano was very nice and helpful. I should have gotten the girls name. I had no idea they closed from 1-2pm. We had a long journey to get there and I really was upset she left a bad feeling to the start of our stay in Manarola. When travelling and arriving into a place you know nothing about and everything is up or down hill, she should have more understanding. or put a sign on the door and for god sake don't answer the door! The apartment: There is no balcony, but we could walk out onto the front walk way, there are places to sit outside. No beach towels, there should be. bedroom could use a small floor fan
The location is perfect
Great room with kitchen and sitting, quiet and clean.
There really wasn't much of an ocean view unless you stood at the window.
Manarola is our favourite village in Cinque Terre. The view from the Albarola is second to none. Simply amazing! The bed is reasonably comfortable for being Italy (not too hard). The spacious apartment was a pleasant surprise. We wanted to stay in Vernazza as it gets rave reviews being the prettiest village but due to late booking we ended up in Manarola which we were eternally grateful for! It is very picturesque. It also has a more genuine feel with nice shops (less tatty than Vernazza), lovely restaurants and is less crowded. We felt very lucky! We stayed at the end of September which was perfect with temperatures of 23-26 degrees C. The Cinque Terre villages listed in order of preference: Manarola Corniglia Monterosso Vernazza Riomaggiore Also, in general it was more advantageous to hike from south to north (only exception was from Riomaggiore to Manarola as it has a very steep ascent). From Manarola there is a lovely walk up to Volastra (starts off with a big climb through the vines and olive trees just behind the apartment). Once in Volastra walk down the main road to Groppo, walk past the Cinque Terre wine factory and in the next bend between two garages follow the path to Riomaggiore (this was suggested by a local when we reached Volastra). There are some narrow paths and you finally feel like you have escaped the hordes. Once you have reached the top between Manarola and Riomaggiore you have - in my opinion -the best view of Cinque Terre!
We didn't get the apartment we had booked (due to electrical problems) but were told we had been upgraded to Albarola which is beautifully situated below the bell tower. The bell strikes at 07.00 every morning. If you don't like the idea of an early rise, don't book Albarola. The apartment is very mouldy (especially the downstairs bathroom and kitchen). If you suffer from allergies, I wouldn't choose Albarola. Dry your towels on the washing line outside or in the bedroom. The hairdryer is from 1970 and looks like an electrical hazard. Bring your own or ask the office to lend you another one. The bed was small for two friends sharing but would work well for a couple. In the summer I imagine the bedroom gets very hot (there is only air con on the ground floor where the kitchen, bathroom and sofa bed are). There is a garden but at the end of September it was very overgrown. I would rate this apartment 2 stars. You basically pay for the view.
Value for money Friendly staff Comfortable beds Good kitchen facility
Joint bedroom Very small shower.
Cozy for two Beautiful view and no stairs
No out door sitting or eating area

Carrying luggage up the hill Under-supplied kitchen No bottle opener
My wife and I were traveling with my parents. We reserved a two bedroom apartment with a sea view and got just that. A fabulous view. We will be back to Cinque Terre soon and will use the same booking agent next time.
Location with seaview
The picture on the Web didn't match the appartment. We thought we had booked a studio with balcony but got a studio without. The Casa di Mezzo logo picture appears apparently on all studios. This is misleading.
Off the beaten tourist track near the water so no long slog up the hill
The view was amazing and the location was perfect! The staff was very flexible and nice!
The pictures did not look anything like the actual apartment. The iron and blow dryer were extremely old and we couldn't even use the iron. The fan wouldn't work because half tqhe outlets wouldn't work. It wasn't clean or ready upon arrival so we had to wait while the maid cleaned. They charged 10 euro per towel for extra towels. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were hard and very thin. It needs to be updated asap!
Close to shops and restaurants. We had a balcony overlooking the coast and the town . It was so quiet at night and we had the best nights sleep
Shower was cold
