The house itself was beautiful. On a hill with the most beautiful view over the lake Como.Big green garden with peaceful surroundnings.Nice and quiet neighborhood.10 minutes walk to town.I recommend a car for traveling around.
Tranquil atmosphere with a beautiful setting and lovely pool Francesca is a charming host
Limited basic kitchen items and no basics such as salt, pepper cooking oil, kitchen roll, waste bags etc.which would be most inconvenient for those on a very short stay We had a car but parking in Belaggio is limited and although there are various walking routes to town it would prove almost impossible for people with a limited walking ability
Clean, well sized self contained room. Excellent views. Great pool and grounds
Long, steep up hill walk back from Central bellagio. Hard bed
Beautiful newer apartment Large bedroom and living room with a great kitchen. Everything you need and more. Beautiful views of Belliago. The local market was inexpensive and the fruit was the BEST we have ever had. Silvos Resturant was amazing!
You have to walk up and down a long walk way to get to the town. Is very dark at night when walking back. Wear good walking shoes because the street are large rocks and pebbles that your waking on.
Francesca is delightful and the apartment and views are very good
Nothing close by to walk to, you have to have a car really and use it. Then, parking is very difficult in Bellagio.
The appartment was great and very clean. The swimming pool is nice and the views from the balcony outstanding. It is really a nice place if you want to relax for a few days.
Although everything was fine, I would have expected a few more things to make life easier for a short stay such as ours (f ex: some olive oil, real coffee, vinegar, butter, salt, sufficient toilet paper,...), especially given the - high - quality of the place. We have had these things in much cheaper appartments in Italy and you don't want to buy/carry those things around if you are somewhere for 3 days.
Beautiful, tranquil location. If you desire a peaceful escape with stunning scenery and views, this is the location. Is it a slight walk to Bellagio centre, (15-20) minutes walk, €10 taxi) although we didn't mind as we had a more authentic Italian experience. E.g A beautiful local restaurant & local supermarket within 5 minute downhill walk. The grounds and the swimming pool were simply stunning. Highly recommend.
A lovely facility in a beautiful setting
Distance from town, and accessibility - walking paths are challenging for some
Advice on where to eat and places to go by the owner was very good and accurate. This really added to the enjoyment of our stay
Absolutely loved it! Gorgeous, relaxing, private setting. House is very comfortable, peaceful and quiet. The views and grounds are exquisite. Francesca is wonderful. Born in the house, she seems to know everyone and everything in Bellagio and can and will help with anything!
While it didn't bother us at all, potential renters should be aware the house is a distance from town center, the streets are very narrow and it can be tricky to find. If you want to drive to town, parking can be a problem and if you want to walk, the path is uneven stone and a fair distance (uphill on the way back). At the bottom, you must either walk along a narrow road, not well suited for pedestrians, or pay 6.50 euros/person to walk along the lake through the gardens of the Villa Melzi, which is beautiful and well worth a visit, but you might not want to do that more than once. If you are not in reasonable shape and attired in appropriate footwear, the walk may not be for you. Also, I would recommend a smaller size car.
The location was unique! Very quiet and fantastic views of the lake and the surrounding hills.
Very neat and clean apartment with great views of the lake and lovely, expansive grounds. Has all facilities for self-catering and 2 supermarkets within easy walking distance. Washing machine in basement with drying racks also very convenient. After staying in hotels with meals provided it was nice to cater for ourselves, plus cheaper too.
Very narrow road to get there but hard to avoid in Italy!
Everything! Francesca was wonderful. The apartments are very spacious and the views are incredible. The setting and the grounds are terrific and in the evening we would sit outside enjoying a bottle of wine and the spectacular setting.
Nothing, everything was wonderful!
