We especially liked the canal view and the comfort of the room. It was beautifully decorated and the daily breakfast was good. The location. The hotel was hard to find but not so bad after we became acquainted with the area. The long flight upstairs wasn't too fun, especially with heavy suitcases. The hotel doesn't have staff on hand so they only time we saw anyone was when we called to check in and at breakfast.

Not much...first of all the hotel was misrepresented as to its proximity in Venice to all other locations. Very difficult to find, with no help from the staff ( which was one woman) as to how to find the hotel. When we finally got close, we called and she said she would meet us in the square. We asked if she could please tell us how to find the hotel and we would make our way, but she would not give us that information. After waiting in the square for 45 minutes, we called again, and she said that she was in the square but could not find us. Again, we asked for directions, but she said that she would lock up and come to meet us. She arrived 30 minutes later and we entered our rooms, with no air conditioning. Very unhappy !!! There was no one in the hotel if you needed anything, such as towels, toilet tissue, or anything else that might occur where you would need some help. There is no one there to help with your luggage, you have to carry bags up two flights of steps to get to your room. Our plane was leaving very early in the morning, and they did set-up an appointment for a water taxi, which was to meet us at 5:00 A.M. When we came down the steps, at 4:30, the owner was there rushing us out in an extremely rude manner, only concerned with getting his key. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Excellent value for money. Room was decorated in typical Venitian style which was brilliant and very romantic. Breakfast was simple, cold continental style but plenty to eat and sufficient enough. If you are the type to need constant attention from hotel staff this isn't the place for you as the staff are only there in the mornings. This didn't bother us at all. Hotel close enough to Rialto and St. Marco but far enough off of the beaten track to not be too busy. Would recommend for those wanting a cheaper alternative to some of the more costly hotels but would still like to stay somewhere nice. Don't be put off by the hotel 'lobby' as when you walk in it looks a little like a house, the rooms are lovely. Bed was a little firm for me but that is personal preference.

Staff are excellent, I really want to say thanks for the staff informed us train drivers strike was on. We were leaving midnight n the staff was very nice let us stayed in the hall where we can use wifi, toilets n comfortable sofa. The hotel is very close to the square probably one minute walk only.

It's Venetian charm and the lovely suite which we stayed in - very spacious, comfortable bed and two juliette balconies overlooking the canal. Very quiet and peaceful also. The only thing we heard on the Sunday morning were the church bells ringing! The bathroom in our suite is a little tired, and the hotel lacks a sitting room. The breakfast offered a limited selection with no fresh fruit, though I think this is fairly typical in Venice.

Nice location, about 5-10 minute walk to St. Mark's and Rialto. Reasonable breakfast (bread, croissants, cheese, juice, coffee, cereals etc.). Wi-fi internet in the rooms (free). Venetian-style decor in the rooms. I think this was a great value for the money and made exploring Venice comfortable and fun. Just keep in mind that Venetian streets are confusing so it might take you a while to find the hotel.

Fantastic location. Wanted to have a family sized room for 2 adults plus 8 and 10 year old overlooking canals. Casa Pisani is perfect, has two small balconies overlooking canals with Gondolas passing , set within 10mins of Rialto Bridge. Is small with only 5 bedrooms including buffet breeakfast with excellent staff - would strongly recommend and about 405 of the price of other larger hotels without the view.

The hotel itself was very beautiful. It had rooms that looked out over the canal and the rooms were decorated in an old fashioned, unique, beautiful manner. The bathrooms were very clean (and I'm very picky) and the location was fantastic. There is no one at the desk - they are linked to another hotel nearby. A woman comes in the morning to handle breakfast and check out, but she struggled with English and was pretty unfriendly. We were also given a free upgrade without being told and then were moved into another room without warning - something we would have been amenable to if they just explained why and gave us time (we were told in the morning, tried to find out why but the other hotel didn't know about it until the following morning). There was also some disagreement as to what constituted a triple room (luckily, our third member didn't come).

The room was beautiful clean spacious breakfast was ok/good Junior sweet was awesome for us as a young couple , I got engaged to my fiancee over our stay and I couldn't have asked for a better suited romantic room in that price bracket ! Shes a beaut Didn't like the fact was dis jointed from the main hotel (different name) because the only physical contact/communication to the hotel was the non English tea lady. You could phone the hotel for info. Though

We stayed in the junior suite over looking the canal with our two teenage daughters. We liked the the luxurious traditional decor, the size of the suite, the size of the hotel, the ambience and the location. It was very well maintained, very clean and shower was excellent. The continental breakfast was very good and the lady managing the site was lovely and very helpful, even with language difficulties! We had no criticism of the hotel, however the location map from the hotel website was not at all clear if you didn't know the area, and our attempts to find it from the water bus stop were very stressful, few locals knew of the hotel so it took us in excess of an hour to find it. We did note also, that the hotel had several flights of steep narrow stairs and no assistance with luggage would be difficult for elderly or less physically able people than ourselves.

The advertisement at the Booking.com saying that the Junior Suite has 2 big window and balcony to see the canal view. This is such a wrong information. The window cannot opened and the view is nothing. There is no point having the 2 big window as the curtain is heavy and is closed all the time. Need to pay extra attention to find the guest house. Is not easy to find. There is no reception in the Guest house. In short, no service at all. If you need anything, you have to help yourself. I have a incoming call at night and asked the sister hotel's 'reception' to connect it to my room, however, is only available from 8am-1pm. No connection was available. What is the purpose of having phone? The breakfast is nothing interesting. The reception barely speak English, can't ask for any information. The check out must before 11am. No negotiation at all. Not worth the price.

Location was fantastic and size of room was great. Good value for money in Venice. Very hard to find and help from hotel staff limited on giving adequate directions. Had we not had a blackberry with google maps we would still be lost today! Advertised as having canal views but these are very limited due to the windows not opening properly. Would have been nice to be able to step out onto a balcony to appreciate properly.

The hotel was in a great location, close to everything. The rooms were very nice and very clean. Staff isn't onsite (they're located at their sister hotel) but we didn't have any problems during our stay so it wasn't an issue. The only thing that I was disappointed with is that they messed up our reservation a bit. I had reserved a junior suite with a balcony but when we got there it was given to someone else. It was available on our second night (we were only staying 2 nights) and they offered to give it to us but I didn't feel like repacking and moving all our stuff. The staff was very apologetic and charged us accordingly for the room we did have.

Felt like living in a little Italian town away from all the tourists. Just as good as the Cinque Terre villages. We really loved the mountain views, birds singing and the church bells ringing. The restaruant underneath had good food and there was a little bar just up the road. We had a little trouble finding the hotel along the narrow roads but it was well worth the trip.

Used it as a good base to the whole of Venice and Islands.. Site needs better assistance in finding hotel from waterbus station... The Room needed better cleaning, the bathroom floors had not been cleaned very well and the dust under the bed had been there for days... not good for astmatic... I would recommend it at the lower end of value..
