Portasirena is set in an ancient farmhouse completely renovated and overlooking the surrounding mountains of Cilento.

Overlooking the archaeological ruins of Capaccio-Paestum, Hotel dei Templi is a historic property with a characteristic stone façade and classically furnished rooms.

Just 300 ft from the Mediterranean Sea, Poseidonia Mare is a cozy 3-star hotel in Paestum. The archeological site is only half a mile away.

Azienda Bellelli - Turismo Rurale is part of the Masseria Seliano, a large countryside estate including a working farm and horse riding stables. The archaeological area of Paestun is about 4 km away.

This property is in a small, old and modernized building. It is located next to the walls of Paestum and 200 meters from the entry gate; perfect. The room in an attic space was comfortable, clean and well cared for. The staff were excellent with us; the taverna below offered interesting local food options at reasonable prices. The breakfast coffee was the best yet.
Excellent location adjacent to one of Italy's premiere archeological sites (Paestum). Friendly staff and good rooms (but not for those expecting luxury). We were very happy and comfortable.
The first question of the owner was: "What can I offer you?" We had a very nice evening with local food, wine. They were taking care so much. Thanks.
The hotel is on the grounds of the Paestum site. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel's restaurant served a delicious meal. The host, Domenico, was extremely gracious. Great value.
Great location and comfortable room. Carmen was a very helpful and generous hostess.
Location! Paestum ruins is just around a corner. No problem for parking (might be during high season) Staff are very helpful and warm. We were a bit tired, so they offerd us everything they can. Rooms are great! Everyone in it's own style and we liked it.
Il caffé della colazione.
It is very close to the Paestum ruins. You can walk. Parking is easy. Room was comfortable. Towels were thick and new. The woman who served breakfast was kind.
It is right at a very busy crossroad. All day and night cars, busses, scooters and trucks rumble by. In addition there is a very busy bar downstairs. The bass begins to thump at 8 am and thumps right on until past midnight. When we tried to eat we were immediately verbally accosted by a drunk patron (not the owners fault, but indicative of the place).
Would be a great place to stay if in your 20s, 30s, 40s, it is alternative, quirky, funky, groovy. However we are in our 50s and found it cramped, hot, noisy (above the bar) and a bit basic to be honest. On the plus side, walking distance from the site and museum and staff very friendly and spoke English.
Small rooms, some bar noise
Lovely place, great food! Nice and friendly staff!
very welcoming, we were given coffee and water on arrival. breakfast was tailored to cater for vegan diet. we got a great welcome in the bar restaurant. it was very relaxing to sit in the garden for food or a drink which we did every evening. The menu was healthy, using local ingredients. A great location right next to the temple site. all staff were very friendly and welcoming, the nicest place we stayed on our visit to Italy
lovely people and peaceful place just at a walking distance from unbelievable temples.
Staff was very helpful - both Domenico and Carmen were very kind - even helped me by taking me from/to the railway station! I was upgraded to a room that was large, fresh (in spite of having only a fan and no air conditioning, it was because of a second window cleverly located away from the balcony) and luminous and comfortable - not very noisy, because traffic was not heavy. Bathroom decorated with verses by Dante! Breakfast was much better than the classical Italian "pastry and coffee" one; cheeses excellent, especially la mozarella di buffalla! Paestum is beautiful and I would definitely return and stay at Casa Rubini.
wi-fi was barely functional and the view to the archeological site mentioned onsite for the single room was obstructed by a scene being prepared for some concert (surely, this was not the fault of the staff).
Closeness to the Greek temple site and excellent museum. Spacious room with a fan.
Didn't get the email, which was sent while we were travelling, about the checkin in office being closed from 1-3. We arrived after a long trip just before 1pm. Had to wait while a local went and called the hosts. Need for this info to be sent a couple of days before visit.
Loved the location, small restaurant with great local food and amazing lemon almond tart served for breakfast.
Food. Staff. location. Good value
Loved the staff. Amazingly friendly and helpful!
Casa Rubini is perfectly located for a visit to Peastum Greek Ruins or a quick jaunt to the beach. The staff if fabulous and helpful and there is often very good live music on Friday nights. Try whatever local wine they recommend, it will be fabulous and you are likely to end up sitting next to the winemaker at some point during the evening. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The food available in the evenings often features several local specialties you won't find anywhere else, and you won't be able to beat the prices. If you have a car, I would recommend basing out of Casa Rubini and spending several days exploring the region in day trips. A great way to end the day (or start the evening) is to take a walk along the front of the ruins from dusk onwards when they are fully lit.
loved being greeted by Carmen who made our stay personal...even left a map taped to our door to help us find our way to Agropolis. This is after she printed a translation of the words from St Francis Assisi's Canticle of the Sun as I was curious as to what was written on the door of each guest room. She is always gracious and smiling!! Great suggestions from the staff as to where to eat also (the Bottega del Gusto!!) shower pressure super and lots of HOT water!!
walls a bit thin
Personal touches. Great local produce in resturant. Friendly staff. Close to tourist attraction greek ruins. Fire flys in the field at night.
If somebody wants to visit Paestum for its ancient ruins Casa Rubini has the best location, just next to entrans gate.
