Maybe because our room is in a corner, there was no wifi at all. we went down to the reception to ask if it is possible to change to another room. I would have found it perfectly acceptable if he answered no. but it was not that simple. Before I finished talking, he stopped me in an arrogant manner and said no one had complained about wifi for the past four years so the problem I described was impossible. I said you can come to the room to have a try, he said 'I will', still in his arrogant manner, but of course he never came. During the evening, I saw another couple sitting in the lobby to get wifi signal, so it is true that some rooms have no wifi. it's not that big a deal. but the way he denied it and treated me as a liar is unbelievable! I've been travelling around the world and I have to admit this is the rudest hotel staff I've ever seen.
Location, friendly staff, nice room, clean..good breakfast, value for money..in a word..Great!!
Perfect location, friendly staff, great facilities!
Never managed to get the WiFi working but who needs WiFi when there's the whole of Venice to experience?!
Breakfast was superb! Location could not be beat. The staff was extra helpful.
Close to the parking Have Wi-Fi
It was not informed that the parking place doesn't bellow to the hotel. You can spend 30 EUR/day or close to 80 EUR/day if you don't have the information The Wi-Fi is very slow There is any TV
Location, staff, general value
View, breakfast, Wifi connection in room on second floor
The hotel staff were courteous, friendly, and spoke English. My room was spartan but immaculate, as was the bathroom. But the location was ideal. On a canal, within easy walking distance of the people mover monorail to the cruise ships, bus station to and from the airport and water taxis!
First floor is not the ground floor but 26 stairs up. Take advantage of the elevator!
Great location, close to the people mover and an easy stroll into Venezia. The room was great-reasonably big, with opening windows overlooking one of the canals.
Breakfast wasn't fantastic - adequate but have had better. No TV in the room but again not a big deal because there were probably no English channels available anyhow.
Wonderfull building. Nice big room. Very good breakfast (loved the coffee machine). Very friendly staff. All spoke English. Fantastic location.
Lift is only for luggage. I am not physically fit (but that is not the hotels fault). So stair climbing is needed.
I am a bit of a 5-star hotel snob but when a group of friends saw a groupon deal for flights and hotel for £100 from London how could we say no? I had checked out the hotel pretty extensively before we went and cleanliness was by far the most important thing. The rooms were very large and completely spotless! The hotel was cleaner than some 4 and 5 stars! Although the location looks quite far on the map, it is perfect. Although you do have a bit of a walk to get to St Marks Square it allows you to see all the hidden back streets of Venice and really explore the more local areas. Not your thing? There is a water bus stop just outside of the hotel. If you are going with a group of young people who will want to go out at night the location is ideal. It is less than a 10 minute walk to Campo Santa Margarita which is the student bar section. The bars are all situated around a lively square and they are open until 2 am. The hotel is also right next to the bus/train station making it easy to catch our bus back to trevisso on Sunday night. Will be going back for sure!
The beds were creaky and there could have been warmer blankets. There are no hair dryers in the rooms but you can ask for one at the desk free of charge. Also, be sure you check out on time as they WILL charge you for another night! We saw it happen!
Location was ideal for us, close to bus station, easy walk and easy to find, water view. The breakfast was fine, and the staff very helpful.
The bathroom was a bit old and dark for our liking. But being an old convent, one cant expect luxury fittings etc
The location was excellent for us as we disembarked from the cruise ship. It was also quiet at night. Since there was no air conditioning, we had to leave the windows open. The staff was very friendly. Our bathroom was quite roomy.
We did not care for the breakfast which was included. It was adequate but not much of a selection. For some, the stairs might be a problem. We were fine with them though.
Clean, spacious accommodations. Charming old buildings located right on one of Venice's canals.
The age of the buildings made for complicated stairways, requiring trips up some stairs and down others to get to the room.
Good value for the location. Good for a day or two.
Bare essentials, don't expect a Marriott!!!!
Close to people mover, train station, vaporetto, grand canal
Layout of room was poor, difficult to walk around bed to the bathroom.
This is a hotel with character, I liked the slightly faded grandeur and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is excellent and included in the price. Felt like it was efficiently run. I'd recommend it definitely as a good cheaper place to stay in Venice, which is always hard to find.
The steep staircases could be tricky for some guests - I was on crutches so I travelled in the goods lift! Worked fine though. Don't let this put you off folks.
Location was the only good point
Staff was not helpful at all, room was extremely basic
A great location. Just a round the corner from the bus delivery place in plaza Roma. Easy to find. A beautiful place. Great breakfast. Friendly people.
Having to leave. Hee hee
Breakfast was very good as was the service at breakfast.
Inability of staff to communicate in English. Inexperience or lack of knowledge with using credit card reader cost me an additional 3% because I had to use another credit card. I called Credit card company and no problem on their end.
Location. Price good in comparison to others in area.
Bed was not very comfortable and squeaked.
Close to ferrovia and vaporetto station. Grocery store nearby. Good breakfast.
The first night mosquito disturbed us, but then we found anti mosquito plug. WIFI was not very good in room, but in the hall signal was good.
Room is clean and comfortable
A bit far from the Station
The location is nice, it's convenient.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. The hotel is close to the cruise terminal and piazzale roma. There are supermarket, shops and waterbus stations around the corner. Breakfast was simple but good, great coffee!
A bit far from restaurants and the center of Venice, but on the other hand close to cruise terminal. No elevator, only for the luggage which was a bit of a problem for us as a family with small children and strollers.
