Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history.
Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history. Thermal springs abound all over the island and several spas abound to fir all budgets and needs. The local cuisine is seafood, mostly,
the freshest and most varied I’ve ever run across though their best known specialty is a delicious rabbit dish.
There are several picturesque historical sights and local vineyards to sample their lovely local wines. This is the second vacation we’ve taken there and look forward to our next!
I would recommend the town of Forio, it being 25 minutes by car from the ferry port and central to other sights.

I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I would recommend Forio region for an accommodation. There are more attractions and more active night live.
Sorgeto Thermal with amazing view and bars (only two, but staff is nice).
The beaches are beautiful everywhere but Maronti Beach. Maronti beach was the the dirtiest one I've visited there.
I love italian cuisine, so any restaurant is TOP. There are also markets where you can buy snack, and I found one big supermarket.
Ischia is perfect for half-day hiking to Monte Epomeo, where is restaurant with home-grow and home-made food. You just don't have a choice, there is one delicious food to order.
Regarding public transport. At the beginning it seems as a chaos, but the public transport is really well organised. Roads are narrow and curved, but drivers are skilled.
I recommend to rent a scooter.
People are nice and kind!

Really liked the location. Walking distance to town.
Really liked the location. Walking distance to town. Maria was lovely and very helpful with providing rides when needed. The rooms were very new and clean. Our only issue was the elevator as the alternative staircase is a small spiral one. Hopefully they get their elevator issues sorted out.

Ischia is an amazing place.
Ischia is an amazing place. It is my favourite destination in Italy for now. I will be coming back. It is perfect for families, couples and anyone who loves sun, italian culture, good food and nature. The local people are very friendly and admirable <3.
We loved it all, the hotel, the outside pool, the location, is close to the beach, you can go to Cava dell Isola, wich is the nicest beach we've been to!! You have plenty of restaurants close to the hotel! The breakfast was very nice too, with both salty and sweet food! For dinner and for the price you pay, I would rather recommend to skip it and go try the restaurants nearby. For the location,at first we worried because is far from Ischia Porto, but trust me, this side of the island is more quiet and virgin. Here we saw the nicest sunsets!
The hotel was well located and the thermal pools were lovely - we mainly had them to ourselves! Great sea views from the raised terrace and our room had a spacious terrace. Excellent for the price. It is worth knowing that Ischia has an excellent public bus service including two lines that stop outside the hotel on request (stop La Rita). There is also a bookable shuttle from the hotel to either Lacce Ameno or Casamicciole Terme until early evening. We really enjoyed our short stay on Ischia.
The view was beautiful..quiet easy to reach location from the.porto..the room was quite dull drab but it was large..the 2nd bed was a pullout couch which was not as comfortable as the main bed..the cleanliness was slightly lacking but was addressed .. the staff all were very lovely and quick to.please and friendly.. the spa pools were very nice..the ladder in the main pool is loose and tile cracking.. overall we enjoyed our stay absolutely loved ischia.. thank u to all the staff at LA querce
Ischia itself was very crowded so it was a pleasure to get a little away from all of the people and be able to relax. The staff were exceptional. Pool was great (except pool closes very early), and it was right on the bus line. Super easy to get around the island. Bus tickets can be purchased at the hotel. It was not ultra fancy, but it was very clean, AC worked well, next to a nice little fruit stand, gorgeous view, excellent breakfast, and we really enjoyed our stay!
Pera di Basso is the best place to stay in Ischia. The atmosphere is so special, it's like you enter in paradise after being in a crowded sea front. Everything is perfect: the garden, the newly renovated rooms, the stunning view, the food and especially the service! Everyone is very nice and the owner arranged everything so we had the perfect stay on the island. I strongly advise to stay in this hotel and have at least one dinner there. We will definitely come back!
absolutely loved this hotel! my first nights in Ischia, I stayed at the Miramare. But I wanted to explore the island and get out of the resort vibe. I chose Hotel Angelino because of the beautiful beach location and it was so worth it. The balconies set one on the water with the most gorgeous views. It is a quaint hotel with a family vibe. The family was so incredibly nice, especially because I do not speak Italian. My stay was so special and memorable. Thank you!
You will not find a more accommodating hotel than Grifo! All of the staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. They will call you cabs to get around the island and when possible, will take you down to the port for free on their shuttle. The pool is awesome and the location on the island is perfect. The views from the hotel, both the mountains and the sea, are stunning. I would recommend Grifo to anyone looking for a hotel on Ischia.
It's the second time I stayed at this hotel. I love this place! Stylish quiet and clean rooms with balconies. Located at Ischia's best beach. The hotel has its own private beach (free for guests), which is great, and a swimming pool with warm water. There is also spa area with an indoor thermal water pool - a great place to chill. The staff is amazing - super friendly and helpful. Thr food and drinks are beyond words, so good.
Staff, structure and overall stay was fantastic. Front desk was delightful, informative and very kind. Room was excellent value for quality, and amenities very well kept and amazing. They have heated outside pool as well as small but cosy SPA and relaxation area with a jacuzzi pool, turkey bath and sauna, thermal bath up to 40°. Amazing position 5-8 minutes away from Ischia's port. Definitely a go to, we'll be back.
This family-owned hotel is welcoming and serene. The property is situated in a privileged location with beautiful sea and sunset views. The room we stayed in was quiet, spacious and comfortable. It had a terrace with sea views. Breakfast and dinner were a feast. The home-cooked meals are authentic and flavorful. We walked down to Maronti beach and enjoyed the scents, colors and sounds of this magnificent island.
Hotel D'Orta is a spectacular place to stay while in Ischia. I had an unbelievable stay. The views are out of this world, the hotel is spotless, and the hospitality is second to none. Also, the food here is the best I had while on the island. Do not skip dinner on the terrace! Michele, your host, will take care of you like family. No need to stay anywhere else, this is it!
Very friendly family run hotel. The staff was always available to provide suggestions on what to do and see on the island. Immaculately clean. Good location near Aragonese Castle. Walking distance to Ischia Ponte and Ischia Port with bars, restaurants and shops. Free parking available outside the hotel. Great view from the rooftop terrace.
Great place to stay, clean, comfortable, has everything for a comfortable stay, everything corresponds to the description. Thank you very much charming and friendly Emilia! Our holiday on the wonderful island of Ischia was great. I fell in love with Italy, its beautiful people and unreal food! I want to come back, I already miss it!
The hotel is in a quite area and we had a wonderful view over the Island and the Castello. The room was very clean with all the comfort one needs for a wonderful relaxing holiday. the thermal pools and the Spa facilities were wonderful, the staff very friendly and the breakfast excellent (if you have a sweet tooth, as we do).
This was possibly one of the best parts of my trip to central Italy. The castle gardens are lovely and the views from the castle of the town below, spectacular. The breakfasts were divine. The food was gourmet and regional to Ischia. The staff were some of the kindest and most attentive people I have ever met.
The view was amazing! The food was the best we had on the entire island and the breakfast was decent. Although there was a bit of a language barrier, the hotel staff was very friendly and tried to help us in any way they could.
The rooftop bar is so cute! Loved the view and the vibe.
Very beautiful property with plenty of space. The views and the pool were absolutely fantastic. We went for a friends birthday and it was perfectly located to Ischia town. Francesco was so friendly and helpful from the moment we touched foot on the island. Highly recommended.
The island of ischia is a small piece of paradise off the bay of Naples and Paradise Relais Villa Jantò exudes the Islands spirit and charm. The view from the hotel’s perch on the mountain side is its best feature and the staff help you feel like a local.
Rooms are very nice and clean. Location is good. Nice sea view from the breakfast area, also good breakfast variety considering the "standard" in this part of Italy. Nice spa area in the hotel.
