Lovely decor and rooms Fantastic breakfast Owner very attentive and helpful
Not being there on holiday but on business!!
I loved everything about the stay. Cristina has a wonderful B&B in a truly special location. Decor is amazing and beautifully thought out. Great breakfast and real home from home. I would absolutely recommend and would love to stay there again. Grazie Cristina!! :)
Great location and wonderful breakfast.
Christina our hostess was excellent. her breakfasts are fit for a king. Christina went out of her way to help us enjoy and get the most out of our three days in Cortona and surrounding area.
The shower was a little small for my 6ft 4 in husband. But even this is not a criticism rather a comment.
I liked everything. Great rooms, clean. Fantastic breakfast with homemade pies. A nice hostess Christine. We felt right at home. All definitely recommend to stay and enjoy the cozy atmosphere in Casa Soleluna and charming side of Cortona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very friendly and knowledgeable host, delicious breakfast, easy location to visit Cortona from, clean, comfortable and eco friendly.
leaving so soon
location, the lady, the garden
the bathroom was very small.
5 minutes from Cortona by car! Excellent food and host, and very quiet. A very relaxing spot as well. We plan to revisit!!
Christene's pastries were heavenly. Wonderful time.
Owner friendly and welcoming. Rooms spacious, clean. Location quiet and relaxing
Don't miss the opportunity to stay at Casa Soleluna. Christina is a suberb hostess and every comfort is provided for. Delicious home cooked breakfasts, wonderful conversation, beautiful surroundings and furnishings and spectacular views of countryside from large bedroom and bathroom windows. Rooms light and airy. A very memorable stay! 100% recommendation. Thank you so much Christina!
N/ A Maybe bring eye shades.
We stayed here only one night while passing through the area, with a quick visit to Cortona. All of the rooms are new, in an old farm house that has been recently remodeled. We loved the room. We were on a corner of the house and were able to get a very nice breeze through the room when opening the windows. The private bath was all new as well, with everything provided (soap, shampoo, etc). The house itself is a short drive from Cortona, and you can see the city at night up on the hill from the property. The house is in a nice, quiet area, and is very relaxing. If it hadn't rained that night, we would have enjoyed a bottle of wine outside while viewing the city lights of Cortona in the distance. The breakfast that was cooked for us was one of the biggest spreads we had for breakfast the entire 10 days we were in Italy. There were hard-boiled eggs, fresh baked muffins and other freshly baked bread products, some fruit, yogurt, and coffee. We dined in the shared kitchen with another couple. It was cozy and fantastic. Our host was wonderful, very pleasant to talk to and fluent in English (and familiar with Spanish as well). Since this is outside the city, a car is probably required to get there, and there is ample parking. We stayed only one night, if we were planning on visiting Cortona again for a longer visit we would definitely stay here again. Very pleasant and clean.
No real complaints. If you are driving there, I would strongly recommend using a GPS and programming in the Lat/Long coordinates. Our GPS took us right to the house, but it is in a rural area, with narrower roads that could be confusing unless you plan ahead. Like I said, the GPS got us there with no problems. Since the B&B is relatively new, the banks have not yet approved the owner for a credit card device (as of July, 2014). Email before coming to double check, but plan on paying for your stay with cash.
Christina and the breakfast were just brilliant. It wasn't over the top or even particularly 5*. It was just right. I know Italy very well also so I do not say this to flatter.
Very friendly helpful service. Quiet country setting but only minutes to Cortona.
Directions to the B&B needed a bit more detail.
Lovely, cozy and amazing homemade breakfast
Quite difficult to find!
Charming host. Lovely breakfast.
Casa Soleluna is simply wonderful: the house is a perfect mix of old charm and brand new facilities, rooms are beautifully designed and spotless, the location is great for those who look for the peace and quiet of the countryside, yet want to be within easy reach of Cortona (you do need your own transportation though - it takes about 5- 10 minutes to reach Cortona by car). Breakfast is a feast of homemade sweets, all prepared by the owner Cristina herself, who is incredibly nice and really made us feel at home. I very highly recommend this b&b.
very clean lovely breakfast hidden in the countryside but only minutes from Cortona would like to return
Cristina is a fantastic hostess! Her place is more a boutique hotel than a B&B. Each room is soooo beautiful and well decorated! We just loved staying there and will defenetly come back to spend more days in Soleluna and discover the surroundings of Cortona!
Superb hostess Cristina who clearly loves running a B and B. She has renovated the rooms to be modern and tasteful with lovely bathrooms, lovely garden, Pet friendly. The owner welcomed us, encouraged us to use her kitchen, made us a fresh and home made breakfast, gave us great directions into Cortona and to the public free parking. She gave us ideas for touring. All in all superb Value for money and highly recommended.
Single beds a tad narrow but positive that this option existed.
