The room was a converted Trullo structure with an outdoor balcony. Very special. the setting was in an old olive farm with quince and pomergranite trees. There was also a lovely pool onsite.

Contrary to other "masserie" where the turistic pression convinced owners to distort the historical heritage of the place with too heavy renovations, the family owner, more devoted to preserve the local rural culture than to fashion trends, made a great job with a respectful restoration.
We liked the place stillness and the friendly attitude of the owners and the staff.
Great food

Great atmosphere and welcoming by the guest. Perfect location to visit various historic towns and the beaches of Puglia.
Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people.
Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful.
The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

The town is lovely.
The town is lovely. Try to visit the weekly local farmers market (fruit, veg, olives, nuts, plants, cheese and more). There is one Monday mornings. Ask a local to direct you.
There is a great bakery in town called Al Vecchio Forno on the Piazza Mazzini. This is a nice area to walk around at night and it's full of restaurants. A Pté nearby is a cute grocery to get cheese, meat etc. Please buy stuff here and support the local farmers. 😀👍
The town is very scenic, so visit anytime of day for good photo ops and views.
For a good cup of coffee and the best pastries, go to a very popular spot called Almond just outside of town. It's not too difficult to find street parking here, and it has a nice outdoor seating area. Don't miss the creme filled Pasticciotto and Tette Delle Monache. Top!
There's so much more to tell about Cisternino, but it's up to you to discover it yourselves 👍 Best to visit spring and autumn!

Lovely area for the traveller that likes access to several town and city centres with historic quarters. Cisternino itself is one of the nicest hilltop towns albeit relatively small. As a holiday location it provides easy access to many other centres, usually with a short drive. Other key locations like Matera can also be visited within a day trip.

There is a large market in town on Mondays.
There is a large market in town on Mondays. Bakery's and Bar's had freshly baked croissants. Fruit vendors had delicious items. A historic town that's lovely to walk at night. Very lively!
Casa di Alice is a modern apartment in a quiet alley (apart from an excellent meat restaurant below which can be a little noisy midday over the weekend) The apartment is tech savvy in every way. Basic amenities are provided and it is tastefully appointed. The hosts are also wonderful, helpfully, accommodating and obliging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it’s the go to place if you’re visiting Cisternino. Highly recommend.
This was just a very lovely stay in historic Trulli in a beautiful location with fantastic hosts. It is a very relaxing environment and only 30 min to those things people want to visit in southern Puglia. The hosts are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfasts were excellent and made with great care. The pool is a huge bonus in the hot summer weather. We had a great visit and look forward to visiting again!
The location was surprisingly very close to Cisternino, from the pictures we assumed it was in the countryside. The place itself is small but very well appointed, with great eye for design, minimalist interventions and high quality finishes. The hosts were very helpful but unobtrusive, and the pool area was a delight. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.
I rarely leave a review, but this accommodation exceeded my expectations and deserves a praise. Beautiful remote location but close to Cisternino and Alberobello, friendly and warm-hearted hosts, and an accommodation that was decorated with love and attention to detail. Perfect accommodation for a couple, we did not miss anything here and would come back anytime!
The 'Il Trullo del Nonno a Cisternino' is a jewel, embedded in rolling hills, peaceful. The Trullo was recently renovated with care and love for detail, meeting also all comfort standards. We loved breakfast outside in the sun, surrounded by olive trees and amazing flowers. The owners are lovely people, helpful and charming. We must come back!
Location close to Cisternino and other scenic nearby towns (Locorotondo, Ostuni, Alberobello etc.) is great .... just battled with data dropping along the little back country roads and therefore losing Google Maps, and our way! But that is no fault of the establishment.
Cisternino is a beautiful village well situated to explore Ostuni, Martina Franca, Locorotondo as well as the nearby coastal area. Very local feel with very few tourists during our stay. Our host, met us on time and gave us restaurant recommendations.
Nice trullo with two bedrooms. The garden/exteriour is spacious and very nice to stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is very close to cisternino and a perfect base for exploring the region. Trullo was clean and beds were nice.
Breakfast was nice with lots of homegrown produce and baked items. Very quiet location but close to Cisternino and centrally located for getting to many other towns. Surrounded by olive and fig trees and many other fruit bearing plants.
Great swimming pool, with more than enough beds and hammocks. Spacious clean apartment with everything you need. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. Private parking. And Cisternino is a nice village with good restaurants.
Beautiful location in the Italian countryside a short drive from Ostuni. Nicola was welcoming and generous, thank you. This is a great place to come if you want to escape big cities and hotels!
Beautiful place, very very clean, comfortable, staff was incredibly nice, the owner gave us a super special welcome, placed perfectly to visit the main cities of Puglia. a dream com true.
The property is absolutely stunning and very close to the village of Cisternino. Beautiful grounds and an amazing pool. There are also lots of friendly animals on the grounds!
Location to Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, and Locorotondo was amazing. Grounds were nicely kept, pool was quiet, and the staff was very friendly!
