Some noise travels from one one apartment to the next.
Well equiped, super helpful staff. Good location next to beach and within easy walk of the town.
Clean, friendly place for a family.
I stayed in Casa Generale at the beginning of October. It's a wonderful place. First of all, the owners are very wellcoming. In my case it was Paola, the daughter. On my arrival day she meeted me in street before the residence and showed me and explained me everything. The territory is large and green, with lots of fruit trees. Paula invited me to eat whatever fruit I want (figs were delicious, lemons and oranges weren'r ripe yet). The appartment is very spacious, looking exactly like on the pictures. Everything is deliberately thought out to make staying convinient for guests. All the amenities and home appliences work well, the kitchen is fully equipped, with a stove and a big refrigerator. So, you can mix dining out in one of the numerous cafes (Paola will gladly advise you any to your taste) and cooking at home (there are supermarkets, frut&vegies stores and a market nearby). The bathroom is also big and comfortable with excellent hot water supply. They also separate garbage which is great. Casa Generale is very well situated - just five minutes from the port and the center of Forio. The beaches are across the road. Thermal parks Poseidon and Negombo are several stops by bus away (Negombo has a marvellous beach with the quiet and warm sea while in Forio it's quite windy). I sincerely recommend everbody this place. An I'd be happy to return. Paola, thank you!
The beds are quite hard.
Parco Del Generale is a secure complex comprising numerous self-contained apartments in a well laid out and beautifully manicured garden setting, with sea views to the front and mountain views to the back. The public areas include 2 gorgeous pools and a variety of leisure and relaxation areas, including an (private) outdoor (hot and cold) shower. All apartments have a spacious outdoor area and three of them have balconies that look directly onto the port and beaches of Forio. The apartments are roomy, comfortable, have excellent cooking facilities and include a washing machine. Everything you need, from fresh food to kitchen items, to excellent shops and restaurants, to boat rental is literally at your fingertips. The bustling port town of Forio is an excellent location for a wonderful Ischian holiday and Casa Vacanza Parco Del Generale is definitely the pick of places to stay. Be aware though, that the sea view units face onto the main road, which can be a little noisy. However, the double glazing and airconditioning does ensure a quiet and comfortable night's sleep.
The complex is hard to find. No sign anywhere
Everything. We had a very nice stay and would definitely come again.
Great hide-away close to the Marina. Great facilities: swimming pool & relax tub are great, but also the garden with the pomegranates, the water tap, the garden toys,.. We liked it! Appartment is super equipped and especially suiteable for a stay for a few days or longer. Must be great for kids too, as the surroundings are pretty but enclosed so they can't get lost (although we were only a couple. :)) The host was very friendly and gave us good tips: the restaurant, foodstore & bakery tips were all really big hits!
We liked everything about our stay at Parco de Generale. Very close to city center and port from where u can take a ferry to Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia Porto and more. There are two bus stop on the right and on the left from the front door just a minute away. Apartment itself was very clean and had everything u might need for a good and enjoyable vacation. The most important, i'd like to mention, outstanding personnel. It's a family owned hotel so be ready to be treated like a family. Paola was always there for us for whatever we needed. Easy reachable and willing to help.
Excellent location, fine well-groomed garden and territory (exciting view to the mountains, wonderful clear swimming pools, lime-trees on the area.) Helpfull friendly staff (especially Paola).
The correct location of this property could be only seen from the booking.com map, but if you use the given address to google it, it shows it with the same name in another town of the island which we arrived with a bus at first since out boat only stop at another town. And the bus wasn't easy to wait or to get in since it was super full. We waited 2 buses before we could barely squeez in. Just make sure your boat arrive directly at Forio and you would be fine. It would be great if there was a pack of coffee and a tea bag since we only stay for a night, we wouldn't thought of bringing a tea bag with us. Especially most hotels or b&b in Italy provide breakfast. Same thing for the oil and some basic seasoning stuff, we didn't really need it, but it's just a nice plus for those who stay longer. Another thing is that the pipe of out bathroom sink was leaking, so the floor was most of the time wet. The internet reception only works well outside of the room, you lose it after a short time after you get indoor, but it seems to be a problem with most hotels in Italy. But these are all really minor stuff, I point it out just so that they could improve it or pay more attention to it. We enjoyed our stay there very very much and were already planning to invite friends to go all together again!!
The location is great if you take the boat directly to Forio since it's just less than 10 mins walk to the ferry(and lots restaurants) and 5 mins walk to a really clean and white sand beach. The hosts were really nice, they gave us a ride to and back from a natural hot spring 15 mins drive away. The apartment has a wash machine(also a laundry rack in the yard) and all the cooking wares which is really practical for a longer stay.
nothing at all
Very convenient location, in front of the sea, at a few hundred meters from Forio centre. Spacious and clean apartment, with all comforts, and balcony with great sea view. But most of all, Paola, who waited for me in front of the structure at my arrival with the boat, gave me all the explanation I needed, and never complained for the continuous phone calls I gave her in the following days, asking about anything: from garden visits to fish restaurants, from mountain tracks to motorcycle rent... always with a smile... thank you, Paola, you made my stay an ever-lasting memory!
Given that I would go back any time cuz I loved it, maybe they could renovate a bit the downstairs shower and the sink. Other than that it was all perfect!
Extremely close to a beautiful beach Also close to restaurants, shops, bank etc. Didn't need to use the car once! Apartment was perfect for a family with small children Paola, the young lady that looks after the place, is just great!
We found we had to walk or get a taxi as the buses were always overfull. This would make staying for longer than our 2 nights difficult to get further out and meant I had to get a taxi to and from La Mortello garden. The owner's son had kindly offered lifts but we felt this would inconvenience both him and us. We felt that the emphasis, when advertising, should be on the beautiful garden and montains at the back as the front balcony, overlooking the sea, had a very busy noisy road below which meant we avoided sitting there. The double glazing and air con, however, meant we could not hear the noise at night nor could we when on the back terrace. The free beach was unclean near the entrance, but fine elsewhere. Sun umbrellas were needed as the wall shade was always occupied....you get what you (don't) pay for! There was a proper lido further down the beach.
Our friendly host was the son of the owner who spoke great English, after living in America. The family had put together a helpful list of places to eat etc. The location was great for getting to a free beach for a lovely swim. The back garden grounds and swimming area were beautiful, well kept and peaceful with a fantastic view to the mountains, from our rear terrace. Great air con and mosquito door/window protectors. We felt the studio had everything you needed and was well thought out. We enjoyed walking for 5 minutes into Forio for provisions at the great supermarket/market and fruit and veg shop, along with stopping off for a coffee in the piazzas.Great to visit La Mortello garden, a must see! Great for one of the ports to Naples by fast ferry.
We had slightly loud neighbours next door - which clearly isn't the owners' fault. But maybe book an apartment on a top floor if you are a light sleeper.
The apartments are really well located: right next to a lovely beach, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and buses to take you to Poseidon Gardens and the rest of the island. They are clean and well presented, with everything you could need (except a kettle, British people who love tea!). We didn't have outside space next to the apartment, but had a private bit of the garden, which was really useful and good to sit outside and eat in the lovely gardens. We didn't use the outdoor pool but the indoor warm jacuzzi pool was great. The Wifi worked perfectly in our apartment - 3B. Paola was an exceptionally good host. She spent lots of time telling us about the island, recommending restaurants, and booking tables and taxis for us. Nothing felt like too much trouble for her. She clearly takes a lot of pride in the apartments and in providing good customer service. We felt very welcome there.
Parco del Generale is situated in the best location in Forio with our room looking directly into the harbour and onto the beach. The apartment was spacious and the gardens large and beautiful with a lovely swimming pool and warm spa. Paula went beyond the call of duty to make our stay a great one. We would always return here. Forio is a great area to stay on Ischia with lots of great eating places and well situated for going to 2 great spa gardens. We went to Negombo and it was marvellous!
It is in an ideal location - within 2 mins walk from town centre - beautiful location with seaview at front and mountain/garden at the back. The staff were brillant and could not do enough for you. Would definitely recommend very highly. Apartments were very clean and well equipped and the complex was very secure and private. Can't wait to go back!!
The apartments were ideally situated, not only with respect to the island, the sea, and Forio, but also with respect to their immediate situation. Despite being so close to the sea and Forio, there is a remarkable garden with beautiful trees, swimming pool, herb gardens, outside relaxation areas, and the roof-top viewing area for World cup matches. Thus the whole family was happy. (My son was also able to find a scuba diving agency in Forio and I enjoyed the neighbouring 50 meter swimming pool). We were so happy that we decided to extend our stay and skip going to the Amalfi coast. Highly recommended.
Well Ischia isn't the traditional haunt for Aussies (vs. Capri) but having been to Capri years before and thought nothing really special except $$$ for little in return except hoards of tourists then we did our research well this time. Paola and family are dedicated to providing not only great service but a real gem in their parco apartments- huge grounds lots of space soccer table, table tennis, hammocks, indoor pool heated, outdoor pool, directly opposite a good beach with the free end closest and actually the better beach end, great resturants within 5in walk, amazing gastronomic takeaway around the corner... Really apart from an electric kettle and microwave ( which we think is planned for nextyear) - there is little room to say anything except WELL DONE Paola and family we so enjoyed staying - the kids had a great time and ischia is a wonderful place - we hope to return one day again
Too much information from the staff. Too many rules.
Great location near Forio with a superb sea view. Lovely gardens with swimming ool and hot tub.
There is absolutely nothing we did not like. Paula was amazing and very helpful.
We loved our apt. Had ocean view and garden view. The pool and hot tub are great and the setting is amazing. I picked fresh basil every day along with lemons etc. We will be going back for a longer visit. Ischia has great lovely sand beaches nice change from the Amalfi coast that we loved also for the scenery. These were our 2 favourite places.
Wifi was a bonus but was only reliably available outside.
The facilities were extremely good - comfortable accommodation, excellent pool and external lounging opportunities. The location is minutes from the town centre with it's many restaurants, minutes away from the ferry landing and even closer to a lovely beach. Best of all however was the really top class welcome and help from Paola and the team. They couldn't have done more. Thanks.
Very good location just right for beaches and shops and restaurants. Nice and clean hotel, very kind and helpful staff (Grazie Paola!). Unforgettable stay in Ischia!
This is the place to stay in Ischia. Good location near the beach and the city. Not too much traffic. Staff were friendly and told us places to go. I recommend to hire scooter and visit Sant A'ngelo. Try also some of areas termes.
This is a perfect location on a stunning island. Our 3BR apartment had sunset views over Forio and fantastic green views over the mountains. Paola was awesome! Her restaurant pick was perfect (La Bussola for the local specialty rabbit dish). The rooms themselves were well appointed and the pool / common areas are relaxing. Our kids loved the bocce and foosball (which are also removed enough to give privacy to other guests). Really, it is perfect. I want to go back right now!
Great location close to all restaurants, bars and nice town of Forio. The hotel was brilliant, clean and very modern. Would definitely stay here again!
