Charming hotel and Lisa is awesome!
WIFI connection was slow, but there is a computer on the 2nd floor from which you can access internet if you really need to use it. The fixed shower in the bathroom would benefit from a nice handrail.
Prime location, just a few minutes walk from St Marks square (quiet at night) and not far from Riva degli Schiavoni and the Vaporetto bus stop. Staff was very kind and attentive, breakfast was very good and varied (lovely cooked apples, croissants and blackberry jam), room comfortable and spacious, toilet clean and well equipped. Our room didn't have a grand view but when in Venice you go out to see the view (you don't stay in)...or you pay extra. Thank you Casa Verardo for a lovely holiday!
Rooms were 50m from reception area
Room was modern Good value for money at feb2015 location Staff was friendly and helpfull Kept our big luggage pcs in ground floor so as to avoid taking stares to first floor
Wifi is free, but you have to log in every half hour! Our room was next to the kitchen so a little noisy in the mornings, but we did get the smell of fresh bread to make up for it!
Great location to wander the streets of Venice, 3 minute walk from St marks square and some fantastic places to eat and drink in the beautiful streets in the area! Had all we need, and good value for money, would definitely go back if I was to go back to Venice!
We had chosen this hotel because it was handicap friendly, but had been given a room on the third floor without elevator (in a separate building outside the main building). Hard beds, slow wireless network and grumpy breakfast operator pulled down.
Luckily receptionist help and gave us a handicap friendly rooms (hotel's only?). Located near St. Mark's Square and is very central.
This time we had an issue with the basin in the bathroom, which was fixed, eventually.
This our 4th stay at this hotel, and the service remains excellent. Friendly, attentative staff, even the hotel dog welcomes you!
Location of annex
Lovely hotel itself!
Having to wait for the night staff to let you in at night - but this also added to the charm.
Staying in a piece of history 2 minutes from St Marks Square and the convenience of being close to cafés and Grand Canal.
It initially was a little hard to find. Maybe there were clear directions on the website that I missed. If not -- that would be helpful to travelers since street names change every block or so it seemed!
It was off season so the rate for the quality of the hotel was terrific. The location was good between lots of diverse sights but away from the crowds. It also was near good restaurants and excellent shopping areas.
Very expensive for the kind of Room and services..
There wasn't anything I didn't like
The Staff were really lovely, very helpful, always smiling and extremely polite. The breakfast was extremely generous. The high ceiling rooms were in a traditional style, very comfortable with canal views. A very quiet location just 200 yds behind San Marco over a quaint bridge and on a small canal - Superb. The hotel was in the traditional Venetian style, elegant and spacious. On my next visit to Venice I will definitely stay at the Casa Verardo. I've been to Venice on 6 occasions and this the only Hotel I can honestly say is perfect me for.
The Internet was not working and some street noise could be heard through the window.
The amenities and room were spacious, comfortable and clean.
We found it difficult to connect to Wi-Fi (but we did not ask for help)
Our room was huge, the bed enormous, the bathroom well appointed.
Small room, few amenities. Free breakfast but dining room doesn't open until 8 am, too late if you have to catch a plane. Wi Fi was $10 but didn't reach our room. Not worth $310 a night for me.
Location away from the tourist madness but close to Plaza San Marcos
Location of annex too far from the Hotel property! Not stated in the Website Staff not very friendly! Not able to use amenities being 5 to 6 blocks away from hotel.
Room was clean Beds were comfortable Breakfast was good
The annex is not so nice. Be very careful what you book. It was hot, humid and there was no air conditioning. We fought a losing two night battle with the mosquitoes.
Lockation near San Marco
Wifi connectivity, staff attitude, breakfast
Location of Casa Kirsch (quiet street and very close to San Marco) Very friendly personnel Breakfast
WiFi unreliable in room Shower partition had problems staying place and leaked water on to bathroom floor
Breakfast is good and if room can be had on a terrace outside Good location English language news channels
No Cooked breakfast
Continental breakfast Where the hotel is situated The quietness
Pricey but that's Venice.
All in all a good package
great location clean area silen
If you are planning to opt for a standard room, be aware that it is not at Casa Residenza Verardo you'll stay; but in an isolated building; located 200m from the hotel (a luxury prison with gloomy room, 2nd floor, no elevator; no reception service, etc). Facing our disapproval; the receptionist kindly told us that if we were not satisfied; we can go elsewhere, and that in any case the total price of the reservation will be charged. Peering closely our reservation, the address is clearly that of the main building; but it was bracketed the word 'annex'????
Great location Very good breakfast
Staff were beyond rude and couldn't care less, except for their supervisor, I think he was either French or English, he was so wonderful and extremely accommodating. A bit over-priced. If I ever go back to Venice, I'll probably stay in Murano or something, not around St. Marco, just to save some money.
We stayed at a different building (Casa di Kersh) not at the hotel itself, which wasn't really an issue. Room was basically a studio apartment (only missing a kitchen!) it could easily fit 3 people. It was spacious and very clean. The building was on a quiet street that's literally 30 yards away from a hip-happening Piazza. 15 min walk to Piazza St. Marco. Do not miss that amazing little snack bar on Calle Delle Rasse called ROXY BAR. The best coffee and warm pastries in the world!
1) Our bed was compounded by two single bed put together and not stopped; 2) The window was broken; 3) We needed to carry our big luggage on downstairs two floors; 4) The place where having breakfast is not so closed; 5) The price was absolutely too hight in relation to the quality of room (you can easily find a better two stars); 6) the Hotel Internet connection doesn't work very well and you cannot use your connections because the walls; 7) the instructions to find the main Hotel are wrong (you need to ask people to find it); 8) It is not fair to choose a hotel also for the guests rate on the main body and to be sent to its dependance; 9) breakfast is quite poor.
