- Great location, very close to center, yet isolated enough to not be bothered at night - friendly and always willing to help staff - big room with fridge - beautiful garden where breakfast was taken (the rooms also had view to a nice garden) - The shower/toilet area was unbelievably small. It was actually quite hard for me to wash properly (and I weigh 70kg) - the breakfast was poor for my taste (croissants, yogurt, butter and jam was all there was); however I heard that it's very common around the hotels in this area so we were prepared for that.

The bedrooms were spacious and clean and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The breakfast area was pretty. Breakfast started at 8.30 am and as we were leaving at 8.00 to catch the 8.30 am airport shuttle bus at the train station on our last morning we enquired if it would be possible to have an earlier breakfast but unfortunately the staff did not offer to make us a coffee or leave us something to eat even though we had paid for it. Also, the Manager owns a restaurant nearby which we dined at one evening - it would have been nice if residents of the hotel were given a small discount off the bill as a token gesture.

It was very convenient to the center of Sorrento, but away from the main street and piazza. It was also very clean and the owner was polite. I only saw her for a minute when I checked in and the next morning when she brought breakfast, as she does not live there.

Lovely garden with fruit tree. Huge fridge. Clean. Great location. We were able to keep our strollers in the foyer. I would recommend this hotel in summer for people traveling without kids. Room was quite damp (in November). We reserved a double room with 2 cribs, then called to make sure it was available, and they said 2 cribs wouldn't fit in the room. They upgraded us to a larger room for free, but I am glad I called. We had several incidents where I relied on written info (like check out time) and the staff gave me different info in person, though they were always very accomodating to our needs. Breakfast was very late for us (8:15 am - though they claimed it was supposed to start at 8) and we had a hard time locating it, since they were late setting up. If it rains you need to eat breakfast in your room, which is challenging with 2 babies. There is also no highchair for breakfast. Rooms are very poorly insulated for sound, so, despite our best efforts to keep the peace, our babies' night wakings and early morning noise bothered other residents.

Casa Dominova was a little treasure tucked away from the city centre close to the sea and beaches but central enough to enjoy all the shopping and food venues in the old city, with everything within easy walkining distance. A delightful stay, would definintely return as we really enjoyed the beautiful garden and the quiet comfortable, spacious room. Sorrento is a unique destination that offers the best of everything and Casa Dominova is a wonderful example of Italian hospitality.

We stayed in September. The Hotel is central to everything. Beach, Shops Railway Station. Very convenient. Air Con excellent much needed. Only one thing. Our room number 5 was over the top of a kitchen basement for the restaurant futher down and the air grill was just under our bedroom window. Quite noisey at times expecially when they put they radio on in the restaurant kitchen, would prefer another room to this.

Casa Dominova is a small, comfortable, immaculately clean b&b with a fabulous location in the historic section of Sorrento. Our double room opened onto a view of the neighboring garden with its lemon trees and flowers. It is a half-block from a lovely city park with its stunning cliff views of the Mediterranean, and a lift that takes you down to the beach. The quaint cobblestone streets and alleyways surrounding the b&b are filled with restaurants, outdoor cafes, shops, fresh produce stands, gelati stands, etc. that make for pleasurable evenings of strolling and exploring. Sorrento itself is a beautiful, spotless small city where we felt very safe all of the time, and Casa Dominova is in the heart of it. We can't wait to return!

Good value. Very central, right in the heart of the city. The owner spends his time between the b & b and his restaurant Da gigino . The rooms are large and comfortable. The garden where breakfast is served is very nice. Free wi-fi is provided. Breakfast very basic (no fruit, ham , cheese or cereals...just bread, croissants, yogurts, butter, jam and cappuccino)

Located in the heart of Sorrento this hotel enables you to reach the nearby restaurants and shops easily. Having a walk in downtown of Sorrento after a good Italian dinner is a memorable moment! The owners has a very good family owned and run restaurant nearby (Da Gigino), it really worth trying it! The Casa is actually located on the ground floor of a larger apartment house and above the kitchen of a restaurant making it extremely noisy if you would like to sleep before 11 pm. Walls and the entrance door are very thin so you can hear every noise from the neightboors and from the corridor. The bed is not so comfortable, it makes terrible noises and the shower is so tiny that i was not able to wash my legs! The breakfast is very poor (some croissant and cheap jams). To reach the "beach" you have to take cca 100 steps downwards!

I thought the location was very good. The access to all in sorrento is right out the door on a busy and quaint walk street. My room was quiet with cheerful bright colors facing a beautiful garden that belonged to the hotel next door. The bed was comfortable, good air conditioning. Mini fridge in room. It feel like a b&b once inside the hallway and front door. The staff was responsive to any request and very helpful. I felt safe there with my ten year old daughter as we were visiting friends staying across the street at the sorrento apartments. It was easy to go back and forth across the walk street. The location could not have been better for this class of accommodation. Not a ton of frills, just cozy and basic. At first I was put in room seven outside the main area to the b& b ,basically in the hallway.. ( room 7) did not like this at all. They changed me to a room inside the main door to the b&b the next morning and I was very grateful for this as it might my stay there very pleasant. I was staying for 6 nights so it made a big difference. Once in the new room I was happy to be in the b&b and it finally felt like the sorrento I had envisioned. So I would request rooms 1 to 6... I had room 2... Breakfast could be a bit improved but it was consistent and nice to have it outside in the courtyard.

The location was ideal. Very near the beach although the website says it has its own private beach (misleading) - you have to actually pay for that. There is a very small busy public beach you dont. Lovely bright room and quiet. The breakfast was very basic for the cost of the stay.

Very good location, the casa is located in the middle of the Old Town. Clean rooms. Good breakfast supplemented with a home made coffee. The owners were very accommodating. They assisted us with even our luggage on the last day. Good choice of restaurants nearby, and famous Sorrento is lovely

The location is terrific, right in the heart of the toutist/shopping area. There is no "desk" or staff regularly at the hotel. We had to walk about a block to a restaurant owned by the same people. But they were always willing to help.

Very helpful staff, lovely girl called Marianna who was great at making contact, responding to emails and facilitating us whatever way possible. We also got discount (without asking) from owner in his nearby restaurant (15%) on our first meal there and it was tasty too! Location of rooms are excellent, central yet very quiet and peaceful. the shower door was broken, not a big issue, could 'lift" it closed and was happy to have running hot water at all times... room was quite chilly and slightly musty smell upon entry but looked very fresh and clean. Also, breakfast was below average..good croissants but no excuse for not providing fresh juices in sorrento!! and fresh fruit would be a nice addition. Only decent cup of tea in the country tho!

Very well situated in the old town, close to bus, train, port and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful from the outside - no noise of traffic. Breakfast in the pretty walled garden. Beautifully decorated. Pleasent and friendly and helpful owners. The rooms are not insulated at all and you can hear every word being spoken in adjacent rooms (and disturbance from the occupants above) all magnified many times keeping us awake into the early hours of the morning. Neadless to say we got little sleep and were exhausted. Breakfast, although top quality, was a croissant and slice of cake. Small glass of juice, yogurt and cup of coffee. Not sufficient for the smallest appetite.

The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. Breakfast was outside in the courtyard and even in March was pleasant. Having only seven rooms made it easy to meet and converse with other travellers at breakfast, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant the owner runs, Da Gigino, serves great food at reasonable prices. We ate there all three nights we were in Sorrento and count them among the best meals we had in Italy. Ciro, the owner, is personable and friendly, making us feel welcome at both the hotel and restaurant.
