“The good was that hotel is near the station (cca 15-20 minutes). The staff was kind and the bathroom was on the room (it was big advantage). The breakfast was sweet but fortunately too cheese and ham:)I dont like sweet breakfast:)The street with historical buildings is very close by walking.”

Located a 20-minute walk from the Cathedral, the Norman Palace and other important historical sites, Casa Marconi is ideal for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. The hotel is well situated for getting around the area as it is close to public transport links including the Orleans underground station connecting to Falcone e Borsellino Airport, and a main bus terminus. The modern hotel offers single, double, triple and quad rooms, each with telephone, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and satellite LCD TV. The large self-service dining room offers a variety of dishes. The main lounge of Casa Marconi includes satellite TV, reading areas, a games area and Internet point. Hotel Rooms: 83

Good localization and price. There should be better guidance how to get to the hotel. There is a barrier across a street and it is impossible to go down the street from the address.

Bedbugs. That should be enough to scare you away, but in case it's not: They advertise being close to the Cathedral. That's a bit deceptive. It's a 20-minute walk to the Cathedral, but only a 10-minute walk to the Palazzo dei Normani. However, despite it's proximity to this landmark, the location is less than desirable. The hotel is located in a very sketchy neighbourhood. I'm a tall, strong man, so people don't usually mess with me, yet I felt very nervous walking down the street to the hotel after dark. The walls and door are paper thin, so you can hear everything that happens in adjoining rooms or the hallway. The staff seemed disinterested and sadly uninformed about local things of interest. After wasting 10 minutes attempting to get a simple question answered, I went online and had my answer in 2 minutes. But most importantly, I woke up in the morning with a crink in my neck from the uncomfortable bed and my arms and legs covered in bedbug bites.

Pretty modern and maintained. Good breakfast. Quiet location. Walking distance to Normans Palace and Independence Square. Small shower, not for large people, clearly. Takes some time to reach the hotel from the Train Station, especially bus 109 which goes along a busy street with often traffic jams. Better take buses that end at Ospitale Civico (Civic Hosspital), since the stop you need a bus destination.

The information I got from Daniella. She is a seasoned employee, very helpful and loaded with great information. The breakfast buffet was very nice, I did not expect it to be such a great deal given how small the hotel is, but it was very nice! The night shift was very unattentive, to say the least. There was a new girl who seemed put out everytime we asked a question, and her response to everything was: "I don't know". I also didn't like the fact that the "do not smoke" sign was ignored by the hotel staff, who smoked right around the reception area and at the entrance...Very disappointing!

It was in a walking distance to the city center. Breakfast was served in a pizzeria that belonged to the hotel. We could have there dinner as well. Rooms cleaned every day. Rooms airconditioned. The location was very poor. As two young girls we were afraid to go to the streets at night alone. Dirty and smelly streets. The whole bathroom was wet after having a shower, didn't have anything to clean it up with. Lights in the mirror didn't work. Italian neighbours were very loud. Didn't have a fridge in the room.

good restaurant. good breakfast choice for budget Italian hotel. decent sized towelling towels in bathroom. handy for bus to Mon Reale area around hotel a bit run down and not much choice for eating. altho supposed to be located near the old town it is a 10 min walk to Castle Normandie everything else worth seeing is at least another 10 - 15 mins walk. It is not obvious where this hotel is and the taxi dirvers at the station wanted E20 for a 1.5 km journey altho I found someone to do it for E10 is was still excessive. It is a good 5 min from the bus stop to the hotel altho that may be to do with the metro works that are going on. easier going back towards the station

The location of the hotel is perfect, it`s 15 minutes walking from the railway and bus station and few minutes from the famous Palazzo dei Normanni where you can start your visit of the city. Because of this the hotel is located in the dirty part of city, but if you prefere good connection to the centre, this is the best. Really polite staff and amazing breakfast in comparison with other italian hotels where you get only croissants and coffee, there was everything you need!

“We spent 3 nights at this Great hotel, central location. Just an 11 minute city bus to Mondello beach! Staff was friendly and informative. Room was spacious, very clean and had a balcony. Walking distance to open air markets, shopping and Palermo sites. Simple breakfast was included (croissants, jams, yogurts, coffee, tea, fruit, cereal).” Peter, Oakville |
