This charming, late 19th-century building is situated in one of the main streets in the historic center of Syracuse, just a 3 minute walk from Ortigia. A bus stop to local seaside resorts and nearby towns, such as Noto, is 55 yards along the road, while the train station is only 10 minutes away. The archeological area, the Paolo Orsi Museum, and the Madonna delle Lacrime Basilica are also within walking distance. The hotel offers a homey atmosphere and consists of 3 apartments, joined by a pleasant internal courtyard. Altogether there are 10 guest rooms, with vaulted ceilings and Liberty-style family antiques, including one with the disabled access. Hotel Rooms: 22

The girl in the reception is really friendly and helpful. She told us everything we want. Room is big and warm. They also provide free parking place just in front of the hotel. Breakfast in our first day was wonderful, but the second day's breakfast was not so good, maybe because its too many people in the hotel and the first day is just we and two other french girls.

Location, parking in front of the hotel Spartan arrangements of our room. There was only one chair, no tv, no any kind of devices(even glasses to drink a water). Hot water in the bath with very low preasure(it was cold weather and we didn't succeed to take a shower. Even, we booked triple room with breakfast - breakfast was canceled for us with explanation that will be holiday. Finally, person that met us, asked me to pay on arrival. Instead 65 euro(as per my booking for triple), he asked me to pay 75 euro without issued me any kind of bill. This is my first(and hope last) incorrect offer from Booking.com. People in this hotel were for me absolutely incorrect!!!!

Conveniently located a short walk from the bridge to Ortigia, this hotel is located in a beautiful building with a lovely internal courtyard. The breakfast and living room area have a quaint charm. Breakfast was great! The staff are very sweet and helpful. This hotel is great value for price. Slightly humid. There was no tv in our room, but for us it was more of an advantage than disadvantage.

Location of the hotel is very good just outside of Ortigia. Peaceful and quiet. Has a few parking spaces just in front of the hotel and a very nice breakfast. Large rooms looking at a nice courtyard. Excellent value during low season.

Location and parking possibilities. The room at "garden" level was dull and rather small for four. Cleanliness of bathroom could be improved.

The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the location was handy for shopping and seeing the sites. The staff were very helpful. Our room opended onto a shared courtyard which was sociable. Although clean, the room was damp and smelt it.

The hotel was lovely, very intimate and staff helpful and friendly. Had plenty of areas to relax when you wanted to get out of your room. Free WiFi which was a bit hit and miss in room but could be picked up in various areas. Free use of laptop in reception area. Very handy for Ortygia Island where you could spend hours wandering around old town as well as pick up boat trips. No tea and coffee facilities. Our room was quite damp due to a roof leak which looked like a longstanding problem by state of ceiling. This was not a huge problem and overall the hotel was lovely, very traditional furnishings.

Location, decoration of quaint style, good value for money - cheaper and looking nicer than similar b&b in Ortigia island. Breakfast in the patio is lovely. No service after 8pm and so we couldn't get hot water to make tea. Kitchen, living room are locked when the staffs are off duty. What a waste for the lovely living room! The biggest drawback is there's no window in the room and no shutter on the door open to the patio. Thus, you either leave the door open which is not safe, either feel stuffy with the door closed. And no one mentioned it in review or description.

Nice elegant style, pleasant staff, good size room. Good location between the bus and train station and the historic city/island. A b&b, not an hotel really - no tv or fridge. A slightly bad sewerage smell common in low lying parts of European cities.

Great location for walking around Ortigia, the old city of Siracusa and a better value than staying right in Ortigia. Location is only 4 blocks from the bridge to Ortigia. Hosts were extremely helpful, making great recommendations for touring and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and very clean but beds were not extremely comfortable (mattresses were a bit lumpy and soft - our only complaint). Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. There was a lovely courtyard for relaxing and a lounge with comfortable couches. There was a lift for accessing the rooms on the 3rd floor and the breakfast room. Beds were not comfortable. They were lumpy and not good quality. The big bed in our room had a footboard which made the bed too short for us (we are over 6 feet ttall). Slept on the twin beds in the other bedroom but they were even softer and more uncomfortable, though longer with no footboard.

The staff is very helpful and lovely. They have a beautiful breakfast room. There's also free internet. Perfect location between the Ortega island and the bus station. It's a little bit cold in the room. The heating didn't work very well.

The quad room which we booked was in fact two adjoining rooms, so plenty of space for our family of four. The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is a short walk to Ortigia and other sights around the city. We had no problem parking on the street in front of the hotel. The hotel has a couple of reserved places, but other on-street parking is available at times and the staff will tell you if your car is parked safely. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were not able to connect to the wireless internet from our room - it worked intermittently in the communal areas.

Good location, near the train station / bus station for departure to Noto/Ragusa/Modica and also close to Ortigia. Helpful personel. Wifi in room. We went in the begining of January and in the room it was a little chilly despite the air conditioning + heater on. Breakfast could be improved.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Casa Mia was a palazzo converted into a charming little hotel still owned by the original family. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations and their grandmother's delcicious cake recipe. Convenient to Ortigia. Easy to park on the street around the corner.

Perfect location when travelling the area by car: at walking distance from Ortigia, relatively easy free parking and easy to get out of the city for a beach/sightseeing trip. Attractive and spaceous room. This is a professionally run and large b&b, over 20 independant rooms scattered around a courtyard/terrace and a central reception/breakfast area, all behind an entrance on a central shopping street. Drive around the block for free parking. Room and especially bathroom were not clean at all. Bathroom tiles, shower door and taps had not been properly cleaned for quite some time, room was visibly mopped around the tables/cupboards, leaving coffee (?) stains underneath. Also a pity that there was no fridge in the room.

This is a most convenient hotel between Ortigia and the transport hub of Syracuse. It is well maintained, and the family owners were very helpful with all requests. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast (attractive cake platters being a feature) which we took on the shady terrace. The air con saved us from the heat of the city and despite being on the main road it was very peaceful. Only problem was it was difficult to see a rather small hotel sign over the door when driving along the road as two small attractive trees blocked the name, we had to double park while I walked along the road to locate it and the drive round again to unload. I would recommend Casa Mia as a very comfortable bed and breakfast, the owners hope to upgrade soon to more of a hotel status with provision of a safe and fridge in the room, and this would have been very useful. Also tea making facilities for us British who still love a cuppa despite the heat!! Otherwise it was lovely. No security safe, fridge or tea/coffee making facitilites in the room but the staff very quickly provided hot water in the dining area for tea making when requested.

Fantastic location near to Ortygia (only 10 mins walking) but felt like you were staying where locals worked, eat and lived. Lovely bed and breakfast - high ceilings and a sense of space and time. The breakfast was good and the staff helpful.
