everything was just perfect!
The room was huge with a canal view. Location was peaceful and yet not far away from main attracts and sights. Hotel staff were very friendly. Only minus was the little bit worn out condition of the room and especially floor. Otherwise pretty much worth of money.
We loved the charming old feel to the place, it has incredible character and takes you back in time. The bedroom was large. The proximity to the sights and yet it's tucked away location was great. Breakfast very nice.
It may have been the time of year, but there was an awful smell in the bedroom. The bed was not that comfortable.
The style of the hotel The quality of the rooms The helpfulness of staff The affordable price
Desk and kitchen staff were fantastic.
One of the porters was rude and wifi was problematic at best
We have stayed at this hotel on three visits to Venice it is a great location to explore Venice. We were a party of eight this time and we booked a water taxi from the airport (35mins) to the hotel 2 min walk away through Venice Link.
Wifi Description of location
The character of the hotel was phenomenal, the breakfast was awesome and brilliant location. Staff on hand to assist with anything needed. I have already recommended this hotel to others.
One flaw - wifi didn't work for one day but my partner actually saw this as a positive as I spent less time checking football scores.
We booked a Superior Double room with a canal view it was simply amazing! It looks better than on the website images. Our room was very large and equipped with a minibar, a large terrace all to ourselves with a beautiful canal view, a bathtub and shower, a TV, makeup table and a closet. The walls were decorated nicely, the ceiling had a stunning painting with beautiful cupids and a chandelier. The room interior was in a classic Renaissance style which perfectly suited the ambiente in Venice. The bathroom was large, very clean, and had a modern and light interior. As a welcome gift we recieved a bottle of prosecco on our first night. Although the weather was quite cold, our private terracce was a great place to enjoy our prosecco or smoke a cigarette and just enjoy the nice view. During summer you can even have your breakfast there. The breakfast was served downstairs in a chique dining area. It was a very cute breakfast room and looked like an old classic tea room during the 19th Century. For Italian circumstances the breakfast variety was large. The buffet offered croissants, chocolate croissants, eggs, fruits, filled bakery, toast, philadelpia cheese, nutella, yoghurt, cereal and 2 kinds of juices. The croissants were warm as well. The receptionists and staff were very kind and helpful whenever we had problems with orientation. Also the hotel has a great location in a more quiet area away from the mass tourism. It is also very easy to find in comparison to other hotels which are hidden in side alleys. It was just a short 3min walk from San Zaccaria station. From the airport we grabbed the Alilaguna boat for 15€ Per Person which drove directly to San Zaccaria station (which of course stopped at other stations but without any transfers) .
The room was quite cold because there was no good heating and the wifi (free usage) didn't work until our last day because of technical problems
The location and general ambiance of the hotel were perfect.
It was a little difficult to find but everything in Venice is
Love the location and the view Staff were friendly Very good for Venice standerd The room is huge
Poor Wi Fi funny smell around the rooms Noisy from other residents and people outside the hotel
Quaint old rooms styled very nicely. Plenty of room. Very conveniant location to water taxi and Piazza San Marco.
Staff ok - but not all were friendly. Others were.
Old building lots of charm great location.staff pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast lite boring
An upgrade to the perfect room over a canal with private courtyard overlooking a picturesque part of Venice!
We loved it all! Even the bidet!
Totally in keeping with the decadent city, this hotel was perfect in every way. Stylish, lavish, well located and excellent staff...
Good location Nice room Nice breakfast
Bad wifi Very expensive Bathroom lacks places to hang or put things.
Bathroom is clean.
The stairs are dangerous; it's leaning sideways and have cracked.
Ideal location - although away from the bustle of popular tourist sites - for visiting San Marco & surrounds. Spoilt for choice in local restaurants. The Wi-Fi is free (so often had to pay silly prices). Definitely recommend
The breakfast area is small and if too many people come at the one time it can cause a challenge. However the breakfast window is from 07.30 - 10.30
price for the room and breakfast. Also breakfast was weak.
the room is historical very classy and the breakfast area is wonderful, overall this is one of the most perfect hotels in Venezia
The only thing is that hotel, its a near by sant marcos.
Room, treat, price, breakfast and staff are too bad.
