Location couldn't be better, great rooms, clean and had a good overall feel. Some of the staff were not very polite and left a little to be desired when it came to good attentive and friendly customer service

Fantastic location, very close and very easy to get to from vaporetto, next to San Marc square. Staff could be friendlier, rooms could be cleaner and should be restocked every day and breakfast could use some sprucing up.

Nothing. This was an overpriced, dirty hotel. Location was it's only redeeming quality. We ended up cancelling our second night and got a much better rate at a 4 star hotel nearby. Mold in bathroom, noisy room, unclean floor, rude staff, mildew smell in room, etc. ... all for 350 Euros/night.

The position is excellent, 200 yards from the ferry and nearly as close to St Marks square. The staff were very helpful and organised DHL to bring me my kindle which I had left at the last hotel we had been staying at. it was very noisy so ask for a room at the back

Its location, right next to S.Marcos Pl. it was very accesible to every attraction. A little bit overprice for the facilities, kind of rusty. Also we had a black out for a while because of some electrical problem in one room but the staff solved it even though at the beginning they did not seem to know what to do.

Location The hotel and staff attitudes were outdated and staff were rude and unhelpful - it was very overpriced for what u got. The room was stuffy and I was advised air-con could not be turned on without owners permission and when we got back from being out all day the maid had left our room door open - not unlocked open. The breakfast included in the price was also bad. My advice would be to choose any of the other hotels in the area except this one!!

Excellent location. That's it. The room was not clean enough and there was dust everywhere. Although we complained about it with the staff at the reception, no appropriate measures were really taken. The breakfast was extremely poor (no buffet). Every day clients were provided with the same fixed breakfast (1 croissant with jam, 1 sandwich, butter/marmalade/nutella, a glass of orange juice and a yogurt). So miserable ...

The only good thing about this Hotel is it's location, right by St Mark's sq - otherwise avoid it! This hotel is listed as a 3 stars, the fact is that we have stayed in much cheaper and not rated hotel which are way better on all count! Well we've never stayed in so uncomfortable and noisy hotel. The other reviews I'd seen said noisy, well even with the windows and shutter closed we could hear every foot steps in the busy street, let alone the loud talking of the passers by (from 7am until 2 am best not plan on sleeping!) With the exception of 1 chap at the reception on Sunday pm, all the staff were pretty rude, barely saying hello and clearly annoyed to see more tourists. The room was not terribly clean, and the bed sheet which were never changed in our 4 night stay gave us a rash! Even though this is cheap for Venice silly prices, this is definitely terrible value for money, so our advise is to avoid it at all cost!!!

Fantastic location, wifi worked in some areas of room. Pillows were really hard, noise from outside can be really loud at night (made worse by the fact that one of the shutters didn't close properly), air conditioning in room didn't work either.

Hotel staff is very polite and ready to help. Rooms are clean and nice and give you the impression that you are in Casanova's time. I would strongly recommend this hotel specially for the tourist that are visiting Venice for the first time, beause it's perfect location.

the location is excellent. the breakfast was adequate. the pillows were like bricks and for that reason alone I would not return to the casanova. the room was very small and cramped and the bathtub stopper leaked so that the bath would not fill up.

The hotel is very close to San Marco Square, so it is very convenient to access to many famous places. Most hotels nearby the Square are very expensive, but the Rate of Hotel Casanova is economical and reasonable. Many mosquitos in the room...

Location to San Marco square is excellent. Easy and quick access to water bus/taxis. Breakfast is included. Room was decent size but dark, damp and very loud. We were on the 2nd floor and facing in to the pedestrian street. Early morning the shops get deliveries and carts are rolled down the cobblestone street. Lighting in room and bathroom was poor. There was a patch of carpet near the bathroom door that had been replaced and was perpetually wet throughout our stay. Our friends stayed at a different hotel on Madona street and paid less. Their room and hotel was much, much more value for the money.
