1)Their location in pure Tuscany's nature,2) the kindly staff, 3) the large and comfortable room, 4) their good restaurant. Good value for price. Weak wi-fi, no guideposts for Cascina de Fagiolari (far from principal routes), a little difficult to pass heavy suitcases from car to room and return.

Peaceful hotel in Tuscan countryside. If you have a car it is great place to stay when you are visiting Florence (it is 15km away by car or you can go by train - train station is short drive away from the hotel). They also have a large secure parking; great restaurant; free wi-fi. We stayed in a spacious double room with large and clean bathroom. Only the waiter spoke fluent English, other staff spoke only Italian and French.

Nice location for country side trips, even world famous Florence is not far away. However one has to come with his own transportation for the public transport is poor. One has to pay everithing. Never been in hotel where even watching tv has to be paied. :-(

Nice large room with a fireplace and separate sitting area but could only get black and white tv and nothing in English. It was about 6 km from a train station that took us into Florence Staff ignored us for quite a while when we arrived even though they could see that we were waiting

Tranquility, very representative of Tuscan country hotel and rural beauty, remoteness from the trains and delay in getting a taxi to the trains were a problem during our stay as the usual taxi driver was on holidays. The restaurant is excellent and we would definately stay again

As a place to visit Florence but stay in the country side with great food to welcome you at the start of the day and the end of the day - five stars. Staff were friendly without being obtrusive. Trains to Florence depart the station 6km away every 13 mins past the hr and return about every 28 mins past the Hr. The young guy who was the waiter most evenings - didn't get his name - was excellent! Some reviews complained about a lack of English - not a problem at all.A very enjoyable 4 nights. Train tickets difficult to get from the train station as machine was broken, hotel could have made this easier for visitors by having some at reception, very minor irritation

Very nice and rather comfortable countryside hotel near Florence (15-20 minutes by car). Great restaurant (but it is open only in the evenings from 19.30)! This hotel is good located only for those travellers who have a car (apx. 1 hour to go by car to Pisa, Viaregio, Lucca etc.). Very nice swimming-pool. Great landscapes! Unfortunately, the restaurant works only in the evenings. It is very popular during weekends, so it's better to book your table before. There was very cold water in the swimming-pool. Bad sound proofing in a house.

The rooms were a little bit old, but the environment and the location were perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant very good. The breakfast though was poor.

Where to begin......The Hotel is situated outside of a small town amongst olive groves and vineyards. The hotel is a refurbished farm villa with multiple buildings and various configurations of rooms. The hotel comes with a great breakfast served on the open air patio restuarant. It has a removable roof that they open and close according to the weather.. At night this becomes a destination spot for locals and hotel guests for dinner. We stayed a the hotel for 5 nights and ate there everyone of them! We tried everything on the menu with the 6 of us ordering different dishes. The food was superb and reasonably priced. The waitstaff ( especially Mina ) was terrific! The rooms are arranged in different houses. My wife and I stayed in a ground floor double with a king bed and separate bath. The room was spotless (although smoking is allowed and the smell was still apparent). The air conditioning was great and able to be regulated. Our four older children had a quad on the second floor with two rooms and a bath. The problem was being on the top flor the heat of the day made the room quite hot and the a/c unit was only in the larger room (not enough BTUs for the size and/or # of people. THe only wrinkle in a wonderful trip.

The room / appartment was perfect for 4 persons. They have a splendid garden area with nice pool of 20m which makes it a good stop before going further south. The kitchen is quit good and the menu offers lots of local specialties. On saturday night they have lots of local customers, because they are good. The restaurant has difficulties to manage the volume. So eat early and you are ok. No restaurant options before 19:30u.

Good location. During the summer, for economy, the set the air cond to the minimum. If you stay in a double room, you maybe can sleep. But with more people in the room (4), it's better to sleep outside. Got pictures from my room showing 31ºc at 1:00am. Staff is terrible. The owner almost punch me in the face when I tried to complain.

The room was spatious and very clean. Air conditon was functioning and area was very calm despite a busy restaurant. A swimming pool is nice, but much more pleasure gave us the restaurant. Full of locals actually we had to wait to get in. Perfect, reasonably priced, definitely not a turist rip-off . Internet was available in reception on desktop computer for free. The breakfast was extended continental so we were very pleased. This hotel is more B&B, but if you do not expect English speaking receptionist this is not a problem. Location is 15 km from Firenze not a problem with car and navi, but otherwise quite far from Firenze and also from train station. We had a car so we really loved this calm country refuge after a day in noisy city.

We are a family of 4 and we chose this hotel because we wanted to be in a convenient location to take the train into Florence. It is a very nice, very comfortable hotel. We loved our room, which had a mini fridge and doors that opened up to a private patio. We also loved the pool, which is huge and is in a beautiful setting. It was a relaxing place after being in Florence. There is really not much around the hotel so we ate dinner at the restaurant both nights we were there. It's a very nice restaurant, not too expensive. The breakfast buffet was good here. It was a bigger breakfast than we had anywhere else in Italy. The train is about a 5 minute-drive from here and there is plenty of free parking at the train. It only takes 15 minutes to get to Florence on the train. Before you take the train you have to buy train tickets from a machine under the platform, there is no ticket office---study how to use the machine before you go, or give yourself alot of time-and buy roundtrip tickets. We had to stand in line for a half hour in Florence for return tickets. The hotel had said they had a shuttle to the train, but they didn't do that anymore, they said. They also used to sell the train tickets, but they didn't do that either, when we were there. We also had a bit of trouble in Florence finding the right train to get back, so pay attention to that. There are two different stops for Lastra a Signa and Signa. We took the train from one and got the train back to the other mistakenly. Luckily is it only a 15 minute walk between them. This is not really a complaint for our purposes but they did not have a shuttle to the train station. The staff spoke very little English, but they were very helpful.

Definitely the restaurant, the fact that the hotel is in the Toscan country but still 15km from Florence, the vineyards around it, the garden, helpfulness of the staff, hotel/room design... Sound insulation was poor as we heard everything in the hallways and adjacent rooms, mosquitoes...

The hotel is located in the hills outside Lastra a Signa and is very nice and relaxing. We had a hard time finding the road that leads up the hill to the hotel. Better street signs and a hotel sign would help a lot.

The location of the hotel was wonderful, because you see the tipical Tuscan village with hills, olive trees, and grape from the hotelm. Firenze is only 15 minute by car. The staff was very friendly, they helped in any question. The room was clean and normal. The restaurant of the hotel is very good, all dishes are very tasty. The breakfast is very good. The internet work only next to the reception.

This hotel is quite small but it is adjacent to their full service restaurant that is very busy with locals, meaning if the local Italians eat there, you know the food is excellent. We ate there 4 of the 5 nights we stayed and was never disappointed. Our room was a little noisy early evening because we were near the restaurant kitchen and in the morning because we also faced the small road. It was not enough to bother us and other rooms were better positioned and I imagine more quite.

The location and views are beautiful...would be a perfect location for a weekend wedding party. The restaurant is excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very little English is spoken by some staff, so bring your phrase book. One restaurant staff spoke good English, which helped very much at dinner. The included breakfast is very good. Have no complaints, place was great.

“The service! Elisa was amazing. She came and met us for our late night arrival and had cooked the most delicious vegetable lasagne for our supper. She gave us lots of tips on where to go and what was on. The free wifi in the apartment was also great. And we loved having our own beautiful garden to sit in for mealtimes.” Carlie, London |
