Location, relax, easy and simple stay.
Pool overcrowded several days. Cleaning was not done at the 7th day as told in reception. Garden not well keep Missing basic furniture as chairs, or suitcase holder.
We stayed at the above during the second week of June. We flew into Palermo and hired a car. The accommodation is just under 100 km from the Airport. There is a dual carriageway to Marsala (10km away from the accommodation)– A29 – which has no services, nor any petrol stations. Talking about Petrol stations, there is no Petrol station at Palermo airport and as there are no Petrol Stations on the 100km from Marsala, it would be difficult to return full – and Avis charges well over the top to top up the fuel. Finding Torre Lupa is not easy. When the dual carriageway fizzles out at Birghi Airport (Ryanair fly twice a week from Manchester by the way), you are only 2 kms away. Just past Birghi airport, the road becomes the SP21 and you will arrive at San Leonardo within a couple of minutes. In San Leonardo there is a single track railway line to the left. When you see the Bank ATM on the right Torre Lupa lane is next to it and the accommodation is 200 metres down the lane on the left. The property is quite modern and comprises 6 blocks of apartments. We were in A3 which was ideal on two counts – it was on the top floor and the balcony had the sun from 10.30 – 19.45. The balcony had 3 chairs, a sunbed and a small table and was reasonably spacious. The apartment only had seating for 3 people in the lounge and did not have a coffee table on which to place drinks. We had to ask for mugs as only tiny coffee cups were provided. There was no kettle, so all hot water had to be bolied in a pan. The apartment is adequate, but ladies beware – there are no hairdryers, which is a bind as hairdryers are a heavy item in Ryanair luggage allowances and the reason we didn’t pack one. There is a nice pool at the rear of the property, which is just about adequate in terms of sunbeds – if all clients with full occupancy used the pool at the same time. There is a small hut which serves breakfast and drinks/snacks by the pool.
The place is generally ok, helpful staff, nice swimming pool
Wi-Fi almost never works, neither cable, they charge 5 euro for baby bed/night although booking.com says it's for free.
Even though we stayed for 2 nights , I have to say that I might go again
Marsala is a really quite place with a great potential in future , few restaurants and cafeteria in the area ....
