2 big rooms for 2 adults and a small child was a nice thing. Also the breakfast was great. The location is meant only for those travelling with a car or for people who expect to travel by bus to the city and back. An open air disco on Friday and Saturday night was a small disappointment, since our room was to that direction. Some rooms are better than others regarding the disco, so it worth mentioning when making the reservation.

lovely hotel, very friendly staff, and very good value for money, we had a superior room in the newly refurbished side, really good room, however not all the rooms are the same quality. Location was not the best but eventually we found our way around. I love sicily and would recomend this hotel to anyone visiting Palermo and surroundings.

We found the hotel to be everything we wanted. The hotel looked fantastic, with the gardens kept in tip top condition with the trees provided plenty of shade. The room (110 on the ground floor) was a good size and cleaned daily. The restaurant served excellent food and the service was prompt. The location was just what we wanted: on the outskirts of town but with easy access to the local bus, and to the main motorway. The recepionists cpouldn't have been more helpful, and seemed to switch from one languaage to another at the blink of an eye. On the negative side, he hotel was difficult to find on the first day, but we did arrive at 11pm, and it is overlooked by apartment blocks. The bar is not manned, which was a little irritating. There could be more literature in reception on where to go, what to see and how to get there. When we asked about geting a bus into town, we found they had street maps to give out.

Three things about the Casena Dei Colli: the Baronato Officiale, Ms. Yvonne.and the hotel itself. The first two very beautiful and do make your stay a pleasure. The hotel just good. I came to Casena looking for an hotel close to Palermo's airport. It is, but do need a restauration. Considering this, short stay and localization I would recommend this hotel.

The fact that it was quiet and between Mondello and the centre of Palermo. The gardens were very beautiful as was the attached stately home. Very spacious rooms. The breakfast was adequate, but they don't offer any decent espresso coffee, just mokka from the machine in a large cup. The "hot" water from the same machine was never hot, just luke warm, which meant that you could never enjoy a decent cup of tea for breakfast. I don't know when Italians will finally see the light- tea needs hot water!!! But one member of the staff re-heated my cup of luke warm water. He did a great job. One day later another member of staff did the same thing but with negative results. Wi-fi only in hotel lobby, but at least the lobby and lounge was very comfortable.

Nice garden, good and secure parking, nice breakfast-room. Go down to the main street behind the hotel (Via San Lorenzo) turn right (west) and at the next main junction you find Totuccio's take-away pizza place. Best ever vegetarian pizza we had! Open every day except siesta time. Totally genuinely local.

This hotel was like an oasis within the city. It was quite an unexpected sight as we got closer to the hotel because there are several high rise buildings surrounding it. The grounds are beautiful with palm trees, orange trees and a beautiful villa where breakfast is served. Our room was much larger than expected and was an excellent value for the price. The grounds were also secure with gated entrances. Yvonne, at the front desk, was especially helpful. She recommended a wonderful restaurant for pizza as we were in the mood for a good one. She knew the answer to every question. She even came up with the materials to wrap a package we wanted to send home. Palermo can be a crazy city and this hotel is well placed as it is slightly out of the city, yet close to the bus lines and convenient for heading to the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very peaceful and quiet and there was always a place to park the car. The breakfast was varied and good. The room was a good size and there was always lots of hot water and clean towels. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic but that's Palermo! Driving in the city centre was very difficult and nerve wracking. When it rains, it is difficult to get to your room as there are no covered corridors but you have to go through the rain.

The breakfast and dinners were excellant. Lobby staff was excellant and helpfull because my luggage was lost. Rooms were always cleaned and maid service daily. Nice to have a room with a balcony to see mountains in backround with garden like property. you could not exchange your travel checks with euros. Had to go to the bank.

All rooms have a view on a beautiful garden. In the middle of the garden there's a big terrace with the hotel's bar. It's really lovely and there're no noise disturbances. The hotel would need a bit of renovation but it's rather a general statement about Sicily.

The hotel was absolutely perfect and very comfortable. The suit was large enogh and equipped with every thing that you need. The pool was also very pleasant but on the top of it, the owner Antonio, did what ever he could to make our stay most satisfactory. The breakfast also was quite rich and tasty. I rate this hotel as "10".

The breakfast room and the food itself was great, and the balcony as well, where we could have a nice little coffee after eating. The garden gives a very good atmosphere to the hotel. If You go home to the hotel late in the evening, you better go by bus, or by taxi, because a neighbourhood can be scary in dark, we even saw rats on the streets. But arriving to the lightened garden was a very nice experience.

Hotel is good if you are traveling by car - parking is free and in front of the hotel. It is far from city center with bad bus connections with the city. The best thing in hotel was garden. Great garden for relaxing. Staff is also very helpful. Breakfast is good. Good value for money. Room wasn't clean enough.

I booked the hotel six months in advance the booking was for 11 people,(8 adults and 3 children) however upon arrival we were given rooms scattered, two family rooms had balconeys and on different floors the two double rooms were at the very back of the hotel, facing brick walls. I had booked the hotel because of the gardens so you can imagine our disappointment. After expressing our disppointment we were given a family room more to our satisfaction with a garden view. What started out to be a very stressful checkin turrned out to be a very enjoyable stay. The outside gardens

Friendly staff, large rooms and good location on the outskirts of busy Palermo. The breakfast was excellent and we where also offered to check out late from our room free of charge! Short distance by car for Palermo center and Mondello or Isola delle femmine beaches. Good parking, highly recommended if travelling with a car.

After a days sightseeing it was lovely to come back to such a quiet hotel with gardens and courtyard. We had half board accomodation, our evening meal was the highlight of the day ,the food was excellent, great value for money.Mondello is only a short drive away, alovely seaside resort. The hotel is difficult to find,if you have a tom-tom take it with you!Sicily has the worst signposting I have ever experienced....and take out excess insurance.

Excellent value for money, Lovely peaceful gardens. Difficult to find albeit not too far from motorway, so clearer instructions/map would greatly help. Well located for Mondello which is worth visiting for good beach, seafood and ice creams. Difficult to find.
