First impressions of the staff that worked on reception, did not smile,
didn't feel welcoming, not sure if it was the language barrier, but
a smile makes all the difference. We were only there 1day and my Husband
and myself got attacked over the road from the Hotel, it was not
robbery, I think it was because we were British, they were not Italian
that attacked us. When we ran into the Hotel it was difficult for the
Man on reception to understand us to ring the Police, cause of the
language barrier. The morning after the attack we were having breakfast
and the waiters were talking and looking at us which made us feel
uncomfortable. We should of been at the Hotel for 7 nights, managed to
get a flight home on day 3, as we didn't feel safe, there were a lot
of homeless people sleeping rough and walking round begging. The reason
for visiting Caserta was to visit my Uncles war grave, unfortunately
this did not happen.
The hotel was modern, light and clean, the room was comfortable.
