The owner, Stefano, is the reason you have to go there! Great guy, willing to serve and help you in any possible way! I don't remember many people like him and I have visited many places! If it's your first visit to Rome and you go there for touristic reasons then Castel Sant'Angello Inn is a great choice. Breakfast was also a nice surprise for us!
The mattress was too soft and not comfortable for sleeping. It needs to be changed. It is possible to experience some noise, especially in the morning when other people leave their rooms.
The rooms were clean, spacious and modern and the location was very nice also (with major attractions in walking distance) but what really made our stay here was Stefano, the owner, who was an excellent host. Would definitely recommend.
This place is great, superb location for walking Rome, Stefano is outstanding host, rooms are immaculately clean, breakfast was super, the value is excellent, you truly can't go wrong staying here.
Nothing, it was great all around.
We like everything of the hotel and the owner is very kind. He help us in some problems we have with our flight. The breakfast served in the room is plenty and very good. Wi-fi conection is good. 5 minutes walking from Castel San´t Angelo, 10 from Piazza Navona and Panteon.
To say something, maybe the bed is a lit hard, but so much as not to be able to sleep
perfect location!in the middle of everything(vatican, via del corso, the river, piazza del popolo etc) bit far from colosseum (30' walking)!perfect breakfast!perfect host!new rooms!
nothing at all!
Perfect location, cleanliness, staff extremely helpful, great b&b
the perfect place to stay once in Rome. It's a new, quiet and very clean guesthouse. The room is big and the breakfast is fantastic and served in the room. Stefano, the owner, is willing to help you with everything. He gave us a map pointing out all the main attractions of Rome. It is located pretty close to Fiume Tevere providing excellent view to the great landscape. Stefano, grazie mille!!! Panos & Iro
Brand new room, comfortable bed, MTV on cable, and a small fridge, quiet and very central location. Estefano is an excellent host!
Breakfast was a very nice touch, but too early (9.07) and the lack of variety. Albeit it got us up early to explore all that this great city has to offer!
Very clean, made to feel very welcome and given a quick run-down of things to see and where to go. Also well recommended restaurants. Was great for our one night stay. Fantastic breakfast served in the room.
Was a little difficult to find entrance, could do with a larger sign than a bell label. A little expensive, but worth it!
Wonderful customer service from Stefano, the manager, who took the time to explain everything very carefully. And ensured our stay was easy and pleasurable.
Cannot fault a thing. This is a real Rome accommodation find. Would not stay anywhere else. Great price very helpful owner, great and varied breakfast near new room fittings. 7 minutes even walk from airport bus stop
- the host (Stefano) - the service - the attention - the breakfast - the cappuccino (work of art) - hospitality in total - his explination of the town and his advice what to see - his advice where to eat - the location (quiet but close to the Centre)
Stefano the owner was very nice and helpful. The cleaning ladies were very good and friendly. The daily breakfast was good. Location to Vatican was an easy walk. Very quiet at night.
Rooms were a little small. But that is common in Europe.
Stefano was really welcoming and helpful and had lots of info and tips. Breakfast in the room every morning was good. 10 min walk to Vatican and 10 min walk to central rome.
Excellent!!!! Stefano is super friendly and a great guy. Thank you!
The rooms were nice for a very good price. Breakfast was great and Stefano (the owner) is fantastic. He was very helpful in giving us the layout of Rome.
We didn't realize this was more of a B&B so it was somewhat difficult to find. The inn is within an apartment building so you have to buzz up then get a key to the building. No real front desk to speak of.
Excellent location, in walking distance of all that Rome has to offer. Stefano could not have been more helpful and his breakfast was the perfect start to the day. Our room was spacious (plenty of room for two adults and a teenager), extremely clean, quiet and very comfortable. We will definitely return to Rome and when we do, we will stay at Castel Sant'Angelo again. Don't waste time looking for anything else!!
The apartments were very nice. We've booked 3 bed room and it was enough space for everything. Bathroom includes hairdryer, towels (3-4 for each person), soap, batch hat etc. The room was cleaned everyday. The breakfast was served to the room in two basic variants - omlet or ham/cheese sandwich, all this was was accompanied with cake, nutella, juice, yogurt, coffe. The host person is very polite and nice, helped with advises and always willing to support with your concerns. very big advantage of these apartments - location. It is just in 10 min walk from Via Corso and is in a quite silent nice place just right after the river. Wi-Fi, Iron are available.
No obvious disadvantages
The hotel is located on a very nice location, close to the vatican and castel st. Angelo. Stefano is a perfect hoste! He was very nice and helpfull! When arriving he ofered us a map and gave us a short explanation on what to visit! Ps: when going to/from the aireport there is a shuttle bus that stops allmost next door!
Breakfast is served in the room, so you have to eat on the bed. You get a croissant and two slices of toastbread (not toasted!) that afe not really fresh... You can hear sounds from the hallway and neighbourinh rooms (especially when they are showering or having breakfast before you)
excellent location with all major sites within walking distance. excellent breakfast and host was superb always willing to help and very friendly. Will definitely stay again on a return visit to Rome.
Nothing, everything was great
Our stay at Castel Sant Angelo was the cherry on the cake! I was planning a romantic weekend and took weeks to book a hotel! All the comments were superb and the location ideal... and guess what! No mistake there ..we arrived quite late on friday night and meeting Stefano the owner made our stay unique! Very welcoming,friendly,helpful... Stefano is there to make your stay special...the rooms are new, clean. Breakfast very generous...every single attractions in Rome is 10 minutes walk from the hotel...no need for transportation... If you want a special little place in the heart of the city...do not hesitate...the area is amazing... Thank you Stefano, our weekend at Rome will stay in our heart forever SEB AND STELLA (5-6 July 2014)
Nothing to dislike....
friendly staff breakfast in bed
It is very close to the center of the city.two hundred meters away from piazza spana. The room was big enough and very clean.stephano the owner is a good man.he is very helpful.if I go to Rome again definitely I will stay there
There is nothing that I didn't like
Its not an hotel... no reception.
Excellent location, very clean, friendly, everything was perfect!
