Score from 180 reviews Very good
Staff was really nice and helpfull. The place clean and cosy. Not far from the centre. Breakfast was good and more than enough.
Free parking means good luck parking it at Italian style
location staff wifi in the room
noise from outside
Great location and friendly staff
Air con didn't cool the room and TV wasn't working. Please note it didn't worry us enough so we didn't mention it. I'm sure they would have sorted it if we had.
BB City Center is in great location as you can walk to the centre of Catania. Our room was big enough for five people and we had a fridge. Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. Breakfast was excellent - everything you could think of (coffee, milk, tea, juice, fresh bread, butter, honey, cheese, salami, cereals, nutella,...) and it was really great we could use the kitchen all day. There was enough hot water for all five of us to have a shower in the evening. Angela is very nice and helpful. If we ever return to Catania, we will stay in City Center BB again.
The carpet in our room and the shower needs a proper cleaning.
location only 200m from city center, wifi connection was quite good compared to some other hotels, breakfast was ok for the price
room was smelly, pillows and bed sheets were smelly, lack of hygine in the bathroom mold spots in the shower
Very cosy place close to city centre - within walking distance from the cathedral. Very welcoming and helpful staff. They made us feel at home. Rich breakfast. Catania and its neighbourhood have so much to offer.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Rooms are big and clean! Awesome breakfast! Thanks!
Very efficient and helpful office person - unbelievable multitasking Angela! She made phone calls for us, to order the Etna tour. She checked bus schedules and wrote them down for us. She provided us with a map and routes to points of interest. Special arrangement with local restaurant - 10 E for full meal. Very spacious room (double + 1 single). Fast internet connection. Food shops near by. Kitchen area for self service. Snacks and beverages available during the whole day. Fresh rolls in the morning. Friendly kitchen-cleaning staff.
The neighbourhood is a bit shady. Narrow streets, old city. Only one English speaking TV channel. Dim lighting in bathroom. Fruit left outside for 3 days, becoming over-ripe and attracting small insects. Unhygienic washing up sponge - makes you suspect the state of the crockery and cutlery. Towels - very stiff. Towels changed only after we asked. No elevator, be prepared to carry luggage up long flight of stairs
Big nice room It was clean Nice TV
well, they favorize italians as they gave a big table and much more food and juices for a family wich felt like home and spend 3 hours eating. For the rest (polish people and french) it was separate small room where we needed to ask for everythin... And it was much less because they were giving more for italians...
The room was great, we had so much space and it was decorated nicely! I like the fact that is located close to the center. The staff was also very friendly and helpful!
There was no elevator and we had a lot of baggage.
everything, although the breakfast is a little poor, but can't expect more for the money
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The information and tips provided was excellent. They went above and beyond helping us when we had an issue with our flight. They were on the phone for well over half an hour to help us. Couldn't speak more highly of the staff and the place
Welcome, hospitable and responsive hostesses, who know English (what is very important). Apartment was great, clear and as described. Thank you so much for everything. Highly recommended.
The location is good to visit all the major attractions in town but the district is poor.
We were assigned an "appartment" in a different building, close to the main B&B, which is in itself ok. The flat needs urgently to be renovated. No cleaning nor fresh towels provided. Very busy and noisy street.
Very friendly staff.
- we stayed ad one of the annex appartments, which was very cosy and clean - perfect location - 10 mins walk to Piazza Duomo and 3 mins walk to the Ursino Castle - great breakfast (much more that one could usually have in Italy) - very helpful staff - they speak English, and can offer professional help on city sightseeing, Etna excursions, transportation, etc. - Internet was excellent
Location, beautiful Room, balcony, very nice staff
Breakfast wasn't really
Friendly staff Wifi was good Room decoration was pretty
Hard to find location Mosquitoes in the area
Situaron, personal, beedroom ...
The check out it's so eairly.
the room was perfect it was big with bathroom inside the breakfast room was beautiful and the staff was very nice
nothing and i travelled alone
Very friendly staff, interesting rooms, named and equiped after different cities.
Mosquitos in the room (the next day the staff brought us something against that).
Very well equiped room, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Lovely decoration style. Very good value for the price. The dinner discount with a certain restaurant is great, 10€ for a great meal.
The location is not that great. 30 minutes walk to the central station and 10 min walk to the city center. The first day when we had breakfast, the staff was supposed to help us but didn't ask anything. Instead, she behaved like we didn't exist, just left us there.
Staff is really nice. They gave a lot of helpful information about getting there, what to see, what to do etc. The equipment of the apartment was sufficient. Overall it was okay for the little money I spent.
Like many things in Catania you could make so much more out of it. The first impression would be totally different if they put some moskito nets, different (cleaner) bed sheets and a new shower curtain. I wouldn't stay here again, mainly because of the neighborhood. Being a female solo traveler I felt unsafe walking down the street during the night. Would prefer to have stayed closer to Via Etna. Additionally, I wanted to use Catania as a base for traveling the area but found out that it actually is quite far from the bus and train station. Finding out the timetables for the local buses to get there was impossible.
an excellent choice in Catania. The staff are extremely helpful and kind.guests are made to feel very welcome.great location and great value.
