The location and the staff were friendly 1) The room was small (which was fine), but the facilities in room were basic ie bathroom. The room door was rickety, and the walls were thin. I can hear people walking around in the corridor. 2) The breakfast is also basic, which constantly ran out of food. |

We had a top floor triple room which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, large and it was lovely to be able to open the windows in here My daughters would have liked more English TVchannels for the evening |

Although close to a major tourist attraction, the room on the top floor was peaceful. Only one lift for the clients. |

Welcoming and friendly atmosphere with attentive and helpful staff Excellent bathroom and comfortable room with ample space Tea/coffee making facilities were provided free of charge upon request For the classification of the hotel, we thought that tea/coffee making facilities should have been provided automatically in the rooms |

Excellent breakfast. Central location. Extremely cramped rooms. Very thin walls. Level of noise totally unacceptable for hotel in this category. No desk or table at which to work. |

Location was wonderful. 5-second access to St. Mark's Sqaure. Staircases and not-so-comfortable elevators were minor problems. I wud stay here again if I come back to Venice. (if the city still above sea-level, I mean) |

Ideal location - right off Piazza San Marco Nice staff, cheap owners. Room was v poor for the price: it was clean but tired, and so small you had to navigate it sideways like a crab. Scuffed walls, flaking paint in the tiny bathroom and a tatty old shower the size of a telephone box - ideal for people with no arms but not me. And breakfast was shameless: nice fresh little croissants, but the filter coffee was badly stewed; I then asked for a cappuccino which tasted like the machine had been cleaned at about the time my room was last decorated; and the most natural thing about the fruit juice was the photo on the front of the dispenser. OK...it's unreasonable to expect fresh orange juice, but long life milk & cheap no-brand cornflakes? Cynical! |

For location alone this hotel is a winner... staff were nice, we had a room up 4 flights of stairs, also the price for drinks in the bar was ridiculous. the hotel is comfortable but dated. |

the staff helped us to arrange the water taxi which we have booked earlier to pick us up from the hotel the deluxe rooms for which they charged more i do not know from where it looked like a deluxe room we were only given rooms around 3.00 pm and we had to wait for nearly three hours to get all our rooms the breakfast and the breakfast room was really not good at all |

The location of this hotel is fabulous at the corner of St Marks Square. Our room had views over a basin in the canal where gondolas were moored overnight. Looking upwards we could see the top of the Campanille. The room was well proportioned and furnished in classic Venetian style and spotlessly clean. Overall, I would have no hesitaion recommending this hotel particularly for couples looking for a "romantic" weekend. One particular member of the reception staff was particularly surly as we had arrived at noon but check in isn't until 2pm. His attitude improved when we explained that we understood this but just wanted to drop our bag off in advance so we could explore the city more easily. Other than that we had no complaints whatsoever about this hotel. We have stayed in Venice many times before and have always paid more for lesser standard accomodation. |

The location of the hotel is excellent, the staff were fantastic always available to help and make sure all was ok. The room was clean but could have done with some modernisation especially the bathroon taht looked as it it came from the 1970, but it all worked well and was very clean. |

I took time to select a hotel in the heart of Venice's St Marks Square and couldn't have done better. The square was just a few steps away and with views of the Gondola Dock outside the location was excelent. The staff at reception were absolutely charming. The water pressure in the bathroom turned the shower head, making the water spray all over the floor which was quite a trial and given that this was one of the more expensive hotels i would have expected better! But this is the only negative comment I have to mention. |

the central position and the view at breakfast. The room was small, badly maintained with rotting wood on the door frame to the bathroom and a facilities in the bathroom that were cramped and inadequate for the star rating of the hotel. I think the room was overpriced and inadequate. |

Good location right next to St Marks Square in Venice As with most European accomodation, there was no fridge facility in the room, although ice machine was available on ground floor. |

The hotel is really convenient to St Marks Square. We had a large room which was well appointed with a lovely view over the canal. Staff were helpful we found the hotel better than we had expected. |

Great location, very comfortable rooms, good value for money & it added value to our first trip to Venice. One of the staff members was a bit abrupt. But everyone is entitled to one bad moment. Otherwise the staff were very helpful (maybe not as friendly as other places we visited but that may be cultural) and very adept in dealing with non Italian speaking guests. We had a good time. |
