Hotel Cavour  

Hotel Cavour is a 4 star hotel with 5 star quality , restaurant and bar,rooms fully equipped with mini bar, safe, flat screen TV,comfortable beds, friendly and attentive staff spoke good English,free use of computer and printer,excellent buffet breakfast ,cereals ,fruit , boiled eggs,scrambled eggs , bacon croissant,pastries,fruit juices. Very good location 2 minutes walk to a tram and bus stop on one side and 5 minutes walk to tube station in the other direction or 10 minutes walk to the town centre.This may sound like an advert for the hotel but my wife and I enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it.

The location was excellent! Only 5 minutes from the train station and only 10 minutes walk from Milan top attractions such as Duomo, Pinacoteca Brera, Shopping District...

I'd like to recommend this hotel to fashion shopping tourists. It's just 2 minutes from via dei spiga. The room is clean and pleasant. The staff is very nice and helpful. I'll stay there again for my next shopping trip.

I got a good rate. It was in a prime location in Milan close to everything I like visiting.

Excessive mini bar charges - no super market nearby.

It's very old-style Milanese without being shabby. Very elegant, and typical Italian. The staff is really nice and the location is great.

No wifi Internet in rooms - absolutely abnormal in today's world imho

We had amazing holidays around the new year day of 2012 at the hotel. The location of the hotel was very very convenient for a family with a young child to see around in the city. Tram #1 which goes to almost all the important places in the city stops just a few meters away from the hotel. The hotel staffs are all friendly and kind. One thing I would note in particular is their prompt responses to emails. I sent a question through the booking.com website and received the answer very quickly. We also had a new year eve's dinner at their restaurant. It was amazing experience. We were with a young child and concerned if they might refuse to have us, but they accepted us with warm welcome and even gave us options to give him a kid's pasta or just share our plates. (We asked a pasta for our child and they made one at a reasonable price) They also gave him the same dessert as ours and prepared extra for us to bring back to our room. A surprise was that they did not charge for those. It was absolutely one of our best new year celebration experiences. We would definitely come back here if we had a chance to visit Milan again.

Both are tiny things which I would not mention if I was not asked to do so. - Boiled eggs for breakfast were all hard boiled. It would be great if they also had soft boiled ones. - The internet access is not free and costs 15 Euro per day.

We like the design of the room as well as the living room and the amenities. If you come to Milan for shopping, the location is just right. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The room can prevent noises from the street penetrating inside, but unfortunately not noises from neighbouring room. We heard quite loud conversations, tv. And sounds from our neighbour bathroom! The above complaint is rather unfortunate because otherwise the room itself is quite elegant and very comfortable. Another complaint is about the inadequate space of the breakfast area. It's risky if one wants to take breakfast at around 9.30-10.00 am. Because there will no longer seat available. We had to wait downstairs along with about 8-10 guests! Can't they arrange more space when the hotel is full?

Location is great, close to shopping area.

The shower curtain was old, needs to be replaced. We could not use the wardrobe to place our clothes inside because it had a bad smell.

Central location in Milan. Decent breakfast. Professional staff.

The beds and pillows are far too hard! No tea or coffee facilities in the room. The room was cold despite heating was on.

Excellent location close to the center.
