Very kind and friendly staff although like most others in Sardinia not very good at English.

Very stupid wireless network setup. Need serious surgery on computer to work. Our room had a very inefficient noisy air conditioning.

The food at Cendrino was delicious. The staff was helpful. The view was lovely. I would recommend this hotel. You will need a car to get around.

Nice hotel, and we had av big room with a terrace. Good breakfast and a very good dinner.

The hotel boasts a beautiful view to the lake. The view is really nice, but you get it only from the parking, from the hotel (terrace, bar, room) the lake is covered by big trees. But there is a beautiful mountain view.

The garden is simple, but offers beautiful views to the lake during the day, and a sky full of stars during the night. Plus, the hotel having only 8 rooms, the big garden is never too crowded (we spent our evenings enjoying a bottle of wine on a couch in the garden). Staff is very helpful and gave us great tips on what to do in the 3 days there (hiking in the canion and a boat-tour in Orosei Golf). Breakfast very rich in options, for only 5 euros. The hotel is registered on google maps so very easy to find with a smartphone.

the bed is not very comfortable, but we only noticed this in the first evening, as we came back rather exhausted the other 2 evenings

It's situated in the middle of nowhere and probably only accessible if you drive but really worth it! As soon as you arrive you will be amazed by stunning view of Cedrino river and mountains just in front of the hotel. The hotel is small, but has a character and really unique design. The room was very specious and bright, lots of cute terraces, beautiful restaurant on the ground floor. We had our breakfast there and they set up the full table for us outside. The dinner was amazing as well and list of local wines 12-18 euros for a bottle. Beautiful place to watch sunset, quiet area, amazing amazing!

The hotel is situated in a wonderful location with an unparallelled postcard view - it overlooks a large lake amidst lush green mountains. We may have had the best room, with a great balcony, a four poster bed and a bathroom with a bathtub - the only one during our trip around Sardinia. As the hotel prides itself in offering local cuisine, we happily stayed for dinner, eating outside with the unbeatable view enhanced by the sun setting down. There are two different set menus, but we ate a la carte instead - a lovely dinner helped by a nice bottle of local wine and our waiter Valentino, who could not have been more helpful! The sumptuous breakfast included again a couple of local specialities and we were sorry we could not stay at least another night - we can truly recommend this hotel!!! Our only surprise was the weather - given the lake and the mountains, we had extra warm clothing with us. As it turned out, it was the hottest place of all... The area might benefit from more development, as there was nowhere to swim in the lake, although the water seemed fine. As for the beaches by the sea, we tried what turned out to be the worst beach on the island, Cala Gonone, before we discovered - after frantic driving - a small, but wonderful, Spiaggia Cartoe with a small, but equally wonderful kiosk serving lovely sandwiches and great coffee. Worth a detour (which you have to make...)!

Owners are great and very helpful. My wife is gluten intolerant and they cooked everything to accomadate her. Diners option. For 15€ you have a lot of very good food. Breakfast was amazing in quality and quantity.

Location perfect. Hotel is in front of two mountains and river between. The photo shown is the same view from your room balcony :) Very delicious dinner (price 15 euro - starter+1st course). Friendly stuff. Speaking little English, but we understood each other.

Little confusing to find with navigation, because hotel doesn't have exactly address with street and house number. If driving from Nuoro - take road "S38", cross the river and you will see advertisment signs "Visit ***Hotel Cedrino..." with white building photo. The hotel will be on the left. My advice - print a printscreen of "show map" at It will be easy to compare printed map with navigation map and you will find easily.

Hotel is located in a beautiful place, absolute close nature feeling. Room was clean and simple. Downstairs there is a great fireplace with chairs - cozy atmosphere in the cold January evening guaranteed. Staff hardly speak English, but compensated it with warm contact and care.

Shower could be better arranged (it is not possible to keep the floor dry), breakfast has no hot meal.

Great room if a bit cold in November. Lovely clean bathroom. Amazing views of the lake.

You need a car to stay here and off-season Dorgali is not the place to base yourself for too long.

I've decided to give the lowest mark because of a unforgivable fact we lived in this hotel : The staff (in particular the woman at the welcome desk) was very rude, refusing to admit her errors. We arrived and the bedroom was not ready. No problem, it could occur sometimes. We asked how many time we had to wait for the room ready, she answered 30 minutes. After 40 minutes waiting, we asked if the room was now clean. She said 5 minutes more... After 1 hour waiting, without any excuse, she told us that the room wasn't clean yet... We told her she could tell us sooner, because we were waiting for nothing and we could leave the hotel and come back later if we knew that it would have taken so many time. She said that she doesn't understand why we were so impatient, that 30 minutes were just enough to clean "half-room"... Stupid woman, poor service, no welcoming skills. BESIDES We pay 15e more for "the lake view"... but we had a "trees view"... shame.

Nice location in the country with beautiful view over the lake. Familiar. Allert staff.

The receptionist, which also was the waitress in the restaurant in the evening, needs to learn english in order to be able to give good service also to foreginers.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. The views from the hotel of the mountains and lake are amazing. We got a large room with a large double bed and fully equipped bathroom, with a balcony facing the park. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good and included a wide range of both sweet and savory products. We also had dinner over there and ordered some lunch to go, all very good and reasonably priced.

Matress a little hard for our liking but that could just be us...The bed was also larger than a standard double and had lovely courtains around it.

We stayed five nights in july in this hotel and we liked it very much. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We could park our two bicycles at the backside of the hotel without problems. The restaurant is excellent and besides the standard menu it offers a daily tourist menu at very reasonable prices (15-20 euro). Dinner is served on a nice terrace in front of the hotel. Also local people visit the restaurant. We arrived with the idea to try out different restaurants in the area during our stay, but in the end we had dinner every night at the hotel because it was good, and it saved us a drive to Dorgali or other nearby villages. And we really enjoyed the nice and quiet family atmoshpere. You do need a car here because the hotel is not near a village. The location is perfect and there are many things to see and do in the surroundings: rent a boat in Cala Gonone to visit all the calas, take a hike to the Gola Gorroppu canyon, or visit the impressive Ispinigoli caves. The surroundings are beautful for cycling as well. I would like to mention that the breakfast was also good! I read some strange comments of northern European people here complaining that the breakfast was "very Italian" and they would have liked more variety of bread etc.... Well, I guess if you want to have the same breakfast as at home, you shouldn´t travel to a little family hotel in the mountains of Sardinia. We had great breakfast, the café latte was super! The architecture of the hotel is charming, and from the roofterrace on the first floor you have a fantastic view over the lake and towards the mountains.

The rooms are equipped with portable airco machines that take up considerable space on the floor of the room and make a lot of noise. It would be a great improvement if the hotel would install a standard split airco system in the rooms.

    - The situation of the hotel was perfect and the woman at the reception was very nice - The breakfast buffet is big and really good.

    - The air conditioner in the room is really too noisy (and old) and didn't really work properly. - the price is a bit expensive for what you get. We stayed in cheaper accomodations in Sardegna which were more comfortable.
