Location and freindly staff
We love it all and we are planining to stay at Cenci B&B again whenever we are in Rome. Great location, clean room and wonderful staff.
I was pleasantly surprised by Cenci. The staff was very nice, the location perfect for visiting the most popular sites in Rome. The room was nice and large, relatively quiet for such a busy street at night. Highly recommended.
Proximty to centre of city Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Fridge was a warming cupboard!
Spacious rooms, air conditioning, reasonable breakfast, central location, clean and well-looked after, very good wifi signal. Great for the fit and able-bodied, I'm sure; not so great for anyone with any physical problems.
Not suitable for me with physical limitations. Staff not particularly helpful, for example they wouldn't help me book a taxi and my requests for specific help with my bags were not heeded (I had mentioned my particular needs when I booked and in emails but these weren't responded to); Very noisy location (workmen during the day, several restaurants outside the window at night); location not accessible to cars (I had specially mentioned my spinal injury when I booked so it was difficult for me to get my bags to and from the B&B).
Great stay. Staff were excellent and friendly. Would stay here again :))
They were very accommodating and very nice.
Emmanuele is amazing! Was so nice and helpfull. Plus the location is incredible!
Emanuelle and his colleagues made us feel very welcome. The room with breakfast included was lovely, they even catered for gluten free on request. Without a doubt, we would stay here again if visiting Rome. The location is also perfect with close proximity to good restaurants. It was very comforting when arriving late at night to find Emanuelle waiting for us and offering to assist in anyway possible.
There isn't anything that we didn't like.
The staff was excelent, really willing to help us with tips and setting up a good transport from the airport. We asked twice for a very early breakfast and they did it without any questioning. The location is perfect (around the corner from Fontana di Trevi), with many nice bars and restaurants, and a metro station 5-10 minutes away. I didn't rate cleanliness as Excelent just because of the blanket's dust and a little bug in the room, but overall it is really clean. Breakfast was excelent, with a lot of pastries, cakes and bread to choose from.
We found our experience at the Cenci very good. The location was great. The room was very nice with a great bathroom for Europe. The breakfast was perfect. The owner was very helpful and made our stay in Rome a great experience. He pointed out all the sites, suggested good restaurants. Leaving he booked a car for us to go to the airport.
Everything was positive
Jayne was very helpful ,friendly and welcoming. Allowed as to keep our bags there after checkin. Nice choice of breakfast. Central location. Nice room.
No view but this is expected in a city centre. Person next door had a very loud telly on at night but we were so tired from site seeing that we always fell asleep easily.
The owner, Emanuele, is really nice, helping us from before we arrived to after we left. He gave us great recommendations without spending too much money. The restaurant he reserved for us was friendly in service and delicious. The hotel staff are also attentive and considerate. Cenci B&B is located on the opposite side of the building facing the Trevi Fountain, which is the central location in Rome convenient to everywhere and you can throw your coin in the fountain early in the morning before the crowds get there. If you are looking for a city location, this is the best. Met all our expectations. Bravo!
Really helpful staff with great recommendations on things to see and places to eat!
The staff are very friendly and helpful, transportation means to and from the airport are available and the location is unbeatable. Our room was clean, convenient and silent.
The breakfast buffet was just average. It would be nice if the lift could stop at the second floor of the building.
So close to the Trevi fountain and very central location for exploring the city.
Our room had a single window looking out to a central service shaft housing the air con units and pipework but I am sure there were better rooms available. Problem with the reading lights not working and the room needed a spring clean behind the fridge and under bed etc.
the room was spacious and well furnished it felt very luxurious but without the massive price tag. The break fast was not great but one the whole we were really very please
Breakfast, slightly substandard buffet the fruit was past its best and the breads weren't very appealing
Alessandra was wonderful as was Emmanuelle. Location is fabulous, a little touristy but so convenient when need to get to all the sites in Rome. Rooms, kitchen and other common area are all extremely clean. It's worth the price for having booked so last minute, but I wonder if I could have found something a little nicer if planned more in advance. It was nice having access to the kitchen area for late night tea, but no access to the coffee machine. Water pressure in shower was amazing as was the availability of hot water. However, the shower was way too slippery and slanted, so please be careful. We all almost fell trying to shower in the tiny showers with slippery floors. In room Safe was large enough for a laptop, ipad and passports and money. The location of the rooms, kitchen and the rooms themselves seems quite secure with the new locks installed since this is a B&B and no staff available after a certain hour (maybe from 3pm to the next morning?)
Bed and bed sheets are terribly uncomfortable. I didn't have a decent nights sleep all 3 nights. Terrible views in some rooms. Our view was of an abandoned building and garbage from the restaurants. Had to keep it closed and out of sight to not ruin my experience. Mini frig in room wasn't cool enough to have cold bottled water available when needed. Breakfast is mediocre. I wish they would have fresh baked goods and better cheeses. All three cheeses had the same bland taste.
Emanuel is an excellent host, very accommodating, and most friendly. Emanuel went out of his way to explain the most important attractions, give us restaurant recommendations, and provide for our laundry. Cenci B&B was comfortable, and most modern. Breakfast was a good selection of items with friendly staff.
The room was extremely dark and we could not understand either it was day or night
Location Staff Spacious rooms
Cenci was nicer than I expected. A typical B&B usually has shared bathrooms, but Cenci has all private baths and the rooms are updated. The location was terrific, it was easy to walk everywhere and if preferred easy to walk to a bus or metro stop. The main tourist attractions are nearby, yet it was still easy to get to non-tourist areas if preferred. I would recommend Cenci to others and would stay here again if I return to the city. The staff were all very nice and accomodating. Thank you!
Great central location and ideal facilities for a city break. From start to finish, Uddin and Maricon could not have been more welcoming and helpful - and they both make a great cappuccino too! Looking forward to my next stay at Cenci, whether in the Purple room or any other colour!
Trying to trick us to staying in a worse room than we had booked. Even worse claiming that the room that we had booked was already occupied which we later found out it wasn't (we got it after a lot of insisting and showing the booking confirmation). Not offering the room with bathtub as booked. It was more about the behaviour of the person who checked us in, it felt like we were taken for fools. The manager tried to compensate with wine but this felt more like a way to smooth things over rather than being sorry about the whole situation. No apology was made. The location is great but the room was smelly and felt dirty. Painting the walls would improve the aspect considerably. I would not recommend this place and being in the hotel industry myself I feel it is a shame to complain and I rarely do, but this was a big disappointment.
Perfect location. I can't fault the Hotel or staff
