Set overlooking the coastline of the eastern Ligurian Riviera, where the slender shore dives dramatically into the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel is just a short stroll away from Camogli.

The village of Camogli sits centre stage in a natural amphitheatre, created by the olive trees and pines which embrace Paradise Gulf. In the town’s historic centre, the parish church, the Dragon Castle and the colourfully decorated tall houses huddle around the old harbour, which still bustles with the activity of its fishing trade. Brightly painted gozzi, the typical Ligurian fishing boats, bob alongside rows of nets and the little rowboats used in the tuna fishery, the last one remaining in the Ligurian sea.

Starting at the harbour, a walk along the seafront in Via Garibaldi affords ample opportunity to stop and sip a coffee or leisurely savour local dishes in any one of the characteristic cafés or restaurants, while enjoying views of the sea.

Area information

The castle’s terrace affords captivating views of the harbour and Camogli’s little back alleys, known as carruggi. The religious images of the Madonna still hanging along the carruggi were placed there over the course of centuries by the townsfolk as a votive offering for the protection of their fishermen away at sea.

The location of the hotel by the edge of the sea was lovely. The public areas such as the outdoor bar and pool areas and seaside restaurant were lovely.

I felt the level of service was generally good but somewhat inconsistent.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location with very helpful staff. It is the best hotel in Camogli by far. Fantastic views of the sea/coast from the terraces, pool and public rooms of the hotel.

Cots for babies should be provided free of cost for a hotel in this price range.
