Hotel Lisbona is just 100 yards from Saint Mark's Square, and the closest water bus station is Vallaresso. Rooms are decorated with furniture and fabrics reminiscent of 18th-century Venetian style.

It is a quiet, clean, confortable place, very close to San Marcos and Rialto. Breakfast is great and delicious, some days you can even get hot pancakes!
If it is the first time you visit Venice and you are coming by train, at night, you better take a vaporetto to Rialto -if you try to walk to the hotel you will probably get lost (it took one nor for us to get there). One of the receptionist was not kind and could not speak English.
Great location, friendly staff. No lift tho, so lots of stairs which may be a problem for some people. Breakfast room was beautiful and lovely selection of food. Overall excellent value.
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The Centauro Hotel is in the perfect position for exploring the city. We will definitely stay again.
Staff Location breakfast Cleanliness
My husband and I were exceptionally pleased with our stay at this charming truly Veneitian style hotel. Our room was typical European small but quaint and comfortable. The bathroom also is small and may not have been as convenient for large people, but it worked just great for us. We arrived late in the evening and found ourselves on an adventure when we were a little challenged to find the hotel. Because we were not at all familiar with what Venice was really like with the narrow streets, frequent bridges to cross with the myriad of canals, we had to ask for directions from others on the labyrinth like streets. The exceptionally high-tide and a day of heavy rain had flooded most of the streets including the one in front of the hotel. We had noticed several couples walking with brightly colored knee high boots and began to understand their attire. We met a couple of women in a large square and asked for directions. Coincidentally they were staying at the Centauro also and pointed out the small hotel sign that was down the narrow flooded street right in front of us. We all laughed about how to get in without soaking our feet/shoes since we did not have boots. We opted to take off our shoes and walk through the large puddles. We considered it a Venetian adventure and simply laughed our way into the hotel. The location is very convenient - about a 5 minute walk from the Rialto bridge and 10 minutes from San Marco square. Stores and restaurants abound. Proximity to the large canal make taking the water taxi or a gondola ride very convenient. The staff were very friendly. A large delicious buffet style breakfast (variety of rolls, pastries, pancakes, ham, salami, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, granola, juice, milk, coffee, tea, cocoa and more) was available in a beautiful, large, bright dining area with a nice balcony.
No lift but we had read the reviews so we were prepared for that. Travel lightly .
Good position between Rialto and San Marco, reasonable breakfast
Miserable woman on reception, asked for a double bed but was given two singles pushed together. Not worth the extra for the canal view
The hotel was very central to all the major sights
Lovely room overlooking a canal, gondolas, barges etc. Nice Venetian building and excellent breakfast room. Olga (the dog) was a character and the cat was lovely.
Nothing much. A bit hard to find first off. Maybe a discrete sign in the Campo Manin or more precise details on the website would be of assistance to arriving guests.
Location...hotel was a few minutes walk away from St Mark's Square and the Rialto bridge! Staff...really friendly and very helpful! Atmosphere...old Venetian hotel that oozed character and charm! Super breakfast!
Double bed had twin mattresses that frequently slid apart. Wifi strength in the rooms was weak/intermittent.
The location is perfect. Walking distance to Rialto Station, Rialto Bridge and San Marco.
There's no lift but then I already know this ahead of time so we were not surprised. And I know that almost all of the hotels in San Marco area do not have lift.
One has to give the key to the reception every time one goes out of the hotel.
For the price and location this room was quite excellent.
This historic, canal side hotel feels like the typical Venice I wanted to experience. We had room 9 with 2 canal view balconies. Hussle and bussle in the day and singing gondolas in the vening- splendid. Great breakfast-lovely dining room and food. Helpful staff. Good location
Could be hard to find- research before you travel!!
- Excellent location for San Marco (5 minutes) - great hotel services (FREE taxi for Murano glass factory(is); the reception personnel is very kind and helpful) - located near a big canal, that give u possibility to take taxi or gondola - located in a big plazza, easy to find it; - if i would visit again Venice i would surely choose this hotel (i have to mention that i stayed in the past another two times in Venice, in hotels by 4 stars...); - is a very very quiet area and the rooms are very well soundproofed, didn't hear anything;
- On their website they could give more Information about the location (I was for a third time in Venice, so I know pretty well the city, but for who come for the first time, is pretty difficult... )
The staff and the location
The view out the window
It was very central, room rates are low, compaired with other hotels in the world I would recomend the hotel for short trips.
The breakfast needs to be improved. (Staff is great) food is to simple-.would recomend a touch of italian food for breakfast.
Not having to spend too much time to walk to all the main attractions in Venice. The place was nice and clean and the dining room was excellent. The location of the place was almost too good.
Poor view, and a little too small room.
Good position for walking in Venice and good breakfast.
Room was small.
The location is perfect; max 5 mins from San Marco sq. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and common areas were really clean.
Not that it was bad, but breakfast could have been a little better, in terms of variety
We had a lovely stay. Our room was gorgeous and the breakfast room was breathtaking!
The window of our room faced into a dirty little court and the double bed was made up of two matresses that kept sliding apart all the time.
The sttaf is enthusiasm, and there's a lovely dog at the receiption. The decoration is characteristic.
The hotel was ideally situated, very clean, towels changed daily, always hot water available and the room was well heated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast lovely in a beautiful setting.
The decor of the rooms was very dark and dismal. Very poor lighting next to the bed. Was quite depressing to sit in the room. Needs brightening up - a lot.
Good location - between the Rialto bridge and San Marco. Breakfast was also good
WiFi didn't work in our room on the 3rd floor. Lots of stairs to walk up with heavy suitcases, so try and request the 1st floor so its not as ,any stairs.
they were very helpful and nice..our room was great with canal view and balconette, we were on our honeymoon so that I'm very pleased that they arrange the best room for us..breakfast was better than most of the European hotels..
bed was not so comfortable..
There was nothing to dislike
The wifi could have been better. There was no lift
