Great location! Staff was friendly and helpful. We got upgraded to a room overlooking the canal which was amazing. You can see the gondolas ride by with opera singers and music down the canal path which was just surreal. The Venetian style rooms had extremely high ceilings which made the room feel bigger. There was a safe in the room which was useful. Free wifi which worked great. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend to others. I would absolutely stay there again!
The entrance to the hotel is a bit difficult to find as it is tucked away in a very small street. Breakfast selection was small but not big issue for us as it was included in my reservation. TV is small but who wants to watch tv anyways when you have an amazing view from your window. No elevator as most places in Venice don't so be prepared to lug your heavy suitcases up flights of narrow stairs.
The hotel was not far away from both Rialto bridge and Saint Mark's square and would like to add that the breakfast was really good especially the pitta filled with cheese, tomatoes and olives.
Location,price and staff
Set time for breakfast we could not get a coffee before 8am!
The staff was really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good for the price and especially the bathroom was modern.
Our room was a little bit small for two people, though ok for the price and for the purpose of just sleeping and relaxing between some tours through venice.
A nice little hotel, in a great location. Traditional interiors, not a modern sleek hotel, a Venetian experience.
Great amenities, breakfast and atmosphere.
The young woman at the desk was pleasant but not overly friendly.
Location was excellent and staff were friendly would recommend.
Very nice location near Rialto Bridge and Piazza St Marco, close proximity to all tourist attractions and nice restaurants.
To reach the hotel we need to stop at Rialto (water bus) station which is quite far from Marco Polo airport.
- Very good location, main attractions (San Marco, Ponte Veccio) are less than 5 minutes walk away - Easily reachable from the airport boat - Room was clean
- No elevator so you have to carry luggage up (staff offered to carry it up the next day, but that wasn't really an option for us as our stuff was in both suitcases) - Bed we had was a spring based bed. - Shower was tiny (no romantic 2 people showers) - You have to give them the key to the room when you leave
Room was very comfortable, with views over the canal
Sadly, wifi was a problem (not the hotel's fault as it seemed universal in Venice)
Location is excellent Breakfast was good
No lift (we were on the top floor) Staff were disinterested Rooms were outdated (not 'retro', 'quierky' or any other buzzword for ancient hotels) Shower/bathroom was beyond tiny
Very nice hotel, just a short walk from the Rialto bridge. My room was nice and cosy. I really liked the decoration, Venetian style from the 18th century. Breakfast was great.
Room from the window to inner yard wasn't so nice.
Beds and over buliding too old
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful room full of character. Excellent location. Well air-conditioned.
Staff were very helpful, always available to assist and provide advice and information
Great staff, very helpful. Good breakfast. Staff referred us to a great restaurant. Once you got the hotel location down sites where I'm close proximity.
No lift. Facility is a bit dated.
Venice is a wonderful city and this hotel has a great central location for most sights.
Location is very good, and the staff is very nice and helpful. Excellent Breakfast.
Hotel Centauro was a great experience. Even though the rooms were a bit small, the interior and feel were Venetian and added to the experience. The best part of the Hotel was its staff and the location. Whenever I was tired from walking, I could simply go back to my hotel and rest for a while. Also it is located along a main route people use to walk from the Rialto Bridge to La Accademia. I would definitely recommend Hotel Centauro.
Location. Easy walk from boat stops.
This place was more like a pensione. Bookings.com should distinguish the difference and not promote it as a hotel
You can easily walk to most of the important sites in Venice. Great breakfast!!
The rooms are quite small and a bit claustrofobic.
They covered every detail that a traveler would want in an airport hotel. Arranged for a 4:30 a.m. shuttle to the airport with ease.
Once we found the hotel the first time (a little difficult) realised what a great location it was. Staff could not have been more helpful, extensive continental breakfast included. Canal view room was on par with Venice expectations i.e. not large, room was comfortable, better than basic though not luxurious.
Minor hassle for wi-fi passwords
