The reason for staying at this modest (but expensive) hotel is the proximity to the airport. If your flight from Ciampino is later than 7am, it is a good option, since you can get a bus outside the train station for less than 2 euros. However, my flight was earlier than 7am and I had to book a taxi, for which they have charged me a fortune! It is only 5min away and I had to pay 20 euros. This was an abuse!
Close to ciampiano airport - easy to get to of you arrive late. Good pizza place just up road. Next to station if you need to travel to congeal Rome.
A bit far from the airport
The location was handy to the train station and airport.
Rude staff, broken airconditioner so they gave us a pedestal fan in a room of 6 people rather than relocating us (there were spare beds so it was possible), the bathrooms were dirty and every showerhead broken so it was hand-held or nothing with some doors that didn't lock. We also had to pay 20 Euro to catch a group shuttle (described as a taxi and the only option we had at 5am) to the airport which was 5 mins away. All this made the location irrelevant- would rather stay further away and probably pay the same
No way I would recomend to anyone.
Close to the shuttle bus to the Ciampino airport, train station is just on the other side of the road.
location opening hours of reception
room without window room near saloon - noise in the night (many young people)
breakfast included, wifi too. there are nice attractions nearby.
no bus stop within 3 mins
Close to central train station and to the bus to the airport. Quite empty.
Staff wasn't there when I checked out (that was ~8am) didn't know where to leave my keys.
Close to train station and airport. Free breakfast, maps. Looks more like a hostel. It's good for one night stay if you have a late flight into Rome.
No hot water during my stay.
it was ideal for a cheap 1 night stopover enroute to ciampino airport. train station and bus for ciampino airport or rome 1 minute away.
not many restaurants in the area for an evening meal.
Closed to airport
Noisy and basement.
Receptionist (night shift) is very friendly and helpful.
It is defenitely close to the train station. Due to a late flight arrival I had to take the taxi from Ciampino airport, which had cost €20. For €30 I would have come all the way to Rome, migt be the better option.
I thought I had booked a single room in a hotel, but it was more of a youth hostel, where I got a group room for myself. No windows, not for claustrophobic people. One table light in the room, but broken. Good I had a torch with me. Shared bathroom not really clean. No towels, I had to use the pillow cover. At 23:30 in the evening all nearby restaurants or cafés closed. Took food from a slot machine at the hostel.
Personel is quite friendly. One of them took me to the center of Roma to visit. Great location, it's 30 seconds from the Ciampino terminal, and about 15 mins from the center of Roma. The hotel is quite clean as well.
Warning - if you have an early flight from Ciampino you will not be able to use the shuttle buses running from 5 20 am. The only option for early fights is to take a taxi costing 20 eur per person for 4 mins of driving literally a total rip off done by Ciampino taxi drivers who know you can t walk to the airport. Therefore you are better off staying in rome and taking some night coaches to airport than staying in Ciampino
7 km from the airport.
those 7 km to the airport will cost you 20Eur if you have a late flight.
breakfast is too small, just one bread and one drink
-Close to airport -Clean -Helpful staff -Price
-A/C not working in my room -Breakfast outside of hostel, to a cafe that employees did not speak english.
The place is well located, clean and the people is really nice, recomended 100%!!!!
Clean in front of the main train station
On the other side of Ciampino Airport, you should not miss the last shuttle (23h35)
Because of a late arrival at CIA airport, we had booked a simple accommodation very close to Ciampino train station reachable by a local bus (1.20 EUR one-way). If we had missed the bus, we would have had to take an over-priced taxi (20 EUR). Our plan was to take the train to Termini (1.50 EUR one-way) on the next day, which worked out OK, although there are direct bus connections from CIA to Termini (from 3.80 to 6.00 EUR one-way). The room assigned to us was spacious but apparently freshly painted, so we successfully asked to change to another room. Knowing that the walls are quite thin, we used ear plugs and slept well in our simple room (air-con, no window, shared bathroom). The staff was very friendly, allowed us to use their computer to check-in for the return flight, to print out the boarding passes, and they did not want to charge us for that. A typical Italian breakfast was served at the Quantum Bar nearby and included an original Cappuccino (much better than the automat coffee in many hotels) and a sweet pastry (very fresh despite the holiday). Later we moved to the Royal Santina Hotel close to Termini, which we can highly recommend as well.
- very close to bus station so you can travel from Ciampino Airport for 1,20 EUR/person (taxi costs 20EUR) - late check-in/early check-out possible - hostel, but very quiet even when sleeping in a dorm room - good idea for breakfast = coupon for coffee & croissant to nearby cafe - great value for money!
- something hugely biten me...:/ do not know if they were bed bugs or mosquitos from nearby window but next three days of my stay in Italy was about iching all the time - to be fair, my husband didn't suffer from that, so maybe only some beds are "cursed" or maybe some people are more vulnerable
Proximity to airport
Everything else, bad service and not great accommodations
nice room with conditioning
no hot water in the morning or at night. no hangers at closet.
