Hotel Central

The staff were excellent and helpful and had information for local attractions and travel arrangements. Our room was small and on the 5th floor but the view was dramatic and the bathroom was excellent. The pool and health club attached were just excellent and we just wish we had more time to use it! Lots of rich pastries for breakfast, could have used some scrambled eggs and toast for a change. The emphasis on chocolate is more than I can resist even at breakfast!

The location was fairly central but the walk from the train/bus and center of city was by a narrow street with lots of traffic. Better for those on bus tours but fine for us considering the choices.

Very friendly personnel. Nice and convenient pool. Good location - not far from Sorrento center and train station. But do not book single room - all of them are very small, it is better to book double room for single use.

Clean. Good gym (but erratic opening hours). Good breakfasts

swimming pool opening hours poor- open at 9 and close at 6- early morning or early evening swim impossible. Expensive nightly charge for car park.

The hotel was situated in a good location. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Not too far from the centre

We enjoyed everything about the Hotel Central. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff who always grated you with a smile. Pool and relaxation area was fantastic. Sorrento is an amazing place, will definately return to Hotel Central.

The road its situated on is extremely busy, not hotels fault though.

Our stay was for 5 nights. We particularly enjoyed the evening meals both for the choice available and for the excellent friendly and efficient staff, what a brilliant decision to take half board after a long day sightseeing. The information available in Reception was useful and especially a one page document which contained the timetable of every transport service available, including ferries, local and distance buses and trains. Again the reception staff were excellent and perfect english. The room was in excellent condition and kept so, and we were given a room with a beautiful view of Vesuvius and of course the sea, and also a side balcony to sit out on. The hotel was sited within an easy 500 metre walk to the transport station.

We experienced a minor problem with a very small number of ants in the bathroom, but this didi not affect us greatly.

The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you. The a/c was particularly quiet and extremely effective. The hotel was comfortable and thenfacilities were well maintained.

The pool was rather deep and would benefit from a larger shallow end..

The Hotel Central felt really "Italian" and unique, not like some of these homogonised hotels where you could be anywhere because they all look the same. The staff could not do enough for us, nothing seemed like too much trouble. Love it!!

Without doubt, the swimming pool was the best feature the hotel had to offer.

We stayed on the 5th floor-the lift only went as far as the 4th floor and the room was tiny. All the rooms on the 5th floor seemed to be inferior to the hotel's other rooms. Also, the breakfast was, in my view, considerably below standard.
