Located in the heart of Palermo, just a few steps from the magnificent cathedral and the famous Via Maqueda, this hotel was once the noble 18th century Palazzo Tarallo. Originally a magnificent aristocratic residence, this hotel was brought back to its original splendor by an expert restoration completed in 2003. The particular care exercised in the selection of furnishings and the preservation of the original structures endows the hotel with a special charm and a unique personality. On the main floor, lavish frescoes and antique furniture recreate a magical atmosphere straight out of the novel "The Leopard." There are 5 conference rooms, all fully-equipped, as well as Restaurant 1892, an ideal place for special event lunches or dinners as well as wedding receptions, buffet or gala dinners. Hotel Rooms: 104, Hotel Chain: Angala Hotels. The most recent booking for this hotel was made on May 22 at 06:45 from Italy.

It meets the expectations The fact that we do not know how to get rid of tvs at home and we are imposed taxes on watching it for 10 min in the room. This is most unfriendly and most unsuitable for a grand hotel. Most of the stylish hotels would expect you with your name on the screen and welcoming wishes-not with extra taxes!!!

From the moment you walk inside the hotel has an air of old world comfort and elegance. It's a bit like visiting yor great grandmother's house. It is full of beautiful fixtures and staff that are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are of a good size and quite adequate. The breakfast is more than enough to eat. It's a lovely hotel. Make sure you visit the cathedral - amazing architecture It's right on the edge of the central part of the city. Avoid the port area if you want to go exploring. It's very run down!!

A lovely old hotel from the Grand Tour era. Perfect location next to the Four Corners and across the road from one of the magnificent churches. They have a roof lovely sun terrace to sit out on, and what looked like a very nice restaurant on the roof but this was only open at nights. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room furnished with beautiful Sicilian antiques. Decor is a little tired.

Excellent. Furniture and decor incredible in public areas. Breakfast very good. Have cappucino from the machine though if you like coffee. Slap bang in the middle of the city.

* the staff were impeccable * the breakfast was one of the best i've ever had and the prosecco every morning was a real treat * the location is very central * the design and roof terrace - stunning * our room was noisy due to the fact that we were above the entrance to the breakfast room and conservatory....hard to sleep in. * the beeping at the front entrance as people came in and out (door buzzer) was loud and constant in our room.

Location - near the cathedral, and several tourist sights. Has limited parking for extra charge. Didn't expect top have mold in the bathroom in a 4 star hotel. The shower had mold all around, and the room had a musty smell. Parking was very narrow nad hard to get in and out of, and the extra charge was 15 Euros - quite a lot for such a parking. Staff was a bit surly, but helpful.

The fact that the hotel was once a palazzo and still had many original features. The service was excellent and the location ideal. The room was a little cool - but it was February.

Location was very central and the staff was excellent. The lobby, bar and restaurant are very nice, the rooms are average. A coke at the bar was 5 Euros, and they charged for wifi in the room so you had to go to the lobby for access

Beautiful grand hotel. Some lovely pieces of furniture and areas have been upgraded senstively. Fantastic location in the historic district, walkable also to the train and bus station. Very helpful staff, very relaxed ambience. Room was a good size, nicely decorated. The bathroom was okay but the shower was not great. Could do with some updating. Water flow useless.

A beautiful building and good breakfast selection. Appalling staff. Getting the reception staff to acknowledged your presence was an effort. Utter disdain for their guests. I asked for wifi access and was told I could buy 2 hours or 24 hours. I informed the receptionist that wifi was advertised as free in public areas. He said it was not. I asked for change of a 10 Euro note. I was told no change was available. I explained that it was to tip the porter. Suddenly some change became available, but amazingly I was not offered 10 Euros in change. The exchange was to be 8 Euros in change for my 10 Euro note. I declined their generous offer. I wish I could say that these problems were due to language difficulties. They were not. The staff speak good enough English when it suits them.
