Hotel Centrale  

I was allowed to use a bicycle which helped in exploring the town. Unfortunately the bikes weren't in very good condition (needed air, oil, a cleaning) but still for me it was a real perk.

Frankly it's a bit overpriced compared to any of 6 other similar establishments I stayed in while visiting Sicily.

Location

Limited "Breakfeast" at a nearby Cafe, Cake and Coffee, Wifi only in reception.

The rooms are quite small and dark, but comfortable beds and good cleaning. The fact that italians dont speak english makes it difficult to communicate with the lokals, at shops, in restaurants, with taxidrivers, at the bus station, at the tourist information etc. At this hotel the manager speaks quite good english and is "mister fiks it" him self. Very helpfull and serviceminded.

It was unpossible to comunikate with some og the staff (also in the reseption) in english or other international languages. Ekspensive and difficult to reach the beach- unpossible to get information at the busstation, so we depended on ekspensive taxies.

The staff were very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. I think it offers very good value for money and being centally located makes access to everything in Marsala an easy walk.

Closeness to the centre and train station.

Little things that can easily be fixed - TV in our room was flat screen but on a dressing table at the side of the bed so uncomfortable to watch. Reception bad on all stations, even local ones. Remote control for TV did not work, no floor towel in bathroom, two of the days we were there chambermaid did not leave shampoo/bath gel.

La habitación, era amplia y agradable.

La recepción es inoperante. No hay comunicación telefónicas con recepción (no puedes llamar si hay un problema o una urgencia, ni consultar información). De 11.30 a 6.00 se cierra la recepción: no hay una zona común techada con calefacción o aire acondicionado (la "salita de estar" es el patio que comunica las habitaciones). Incluso en algunos momentos del día no hay una persona en recepción, sino que una "señora para todo" puede atenderte (o no) con su buena voluntad. No tienen teléfono público. La wi-fi está en las zonas comunes. El desayuno lo realizan dos cafeterías ajenas que están una a 30 mts. Y la otra a 200; incluye nada más una bebida y una pieza de bollería (algunas con suplemento). En resumen: es una pensión con nombre de hotel y 2 estrellas.

Parcheggio gratuito e privato

La stanza a noi riservata era priva di finestra e I 3 bar convenzionati per la colazione il giorno di ferragosto erano tutti chiusi.
