The facilities. Good value.
The boozing rude worker I shared the room with.
the bathroom door did not lock, there was no lockable cupboard in the room, the bed was not comfortable
I am really happy about the choice i made. Clean, really friendly staff and i met nice people here!
I would recommend, though a bit difficult to locate if by foot, if u don't have a working SIM with GPS, in Italy which takes about 24 - 36 hours to be activated. It's a straight road from the Centrale Stazione Milano. It's just a minute or two after Grand hotel Doria on d right.
Site said that it's a 4-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room, but I saw 4 + 1 beds in the male dormitory room, but it was a comfortable room though with a kitchen nearby.
Such central spot to the train station, main shopping street and main attractions. The Milan cathedral is just 20 mins walking. Decathlon (local sports departmental store) just a further 10mins down the Duomo. Pantry is well filled -coffee, cereals etc.
So far so good. Would stay here again.
The location was excellent, only a ten minute walk from the railway station and a two minute walk from the main shopping street. Wi-fi worked very well and the room was beautifully decorated. The toilets were clean and it was great to have a balcony. The price was reasonable.
Other people in the shared room disturbed me a little bit during the night.
I stayed at the Central Hostel for 2 nights. It's a great place to stay. The facilities are really great and Daniella, Christian and Sachin are awesome hosts. I stayed in a single room that was pretty good. The hostel is near the Loreto Metro Station which means most of the places within Milan are easily within reach. P.S - Visit Pizzeria Spontini, it's near the hostel and its beyond amazing!
not easy to find the hotel, and the walk on the floor of the room, always make noise. and bed also bad.
Warm welcome and friendly staff. Near the Central station. Common room with free coffee and tea and a balcony.
The bathroom is not in the room as it is written but it is opposite the room and with a key.
the staff is super friendly and helpful. I had a single room, it was big enough, bed comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Though they advise not to spend more than 7 minutes in the bathroom in favor for other guests. I went to Milan for The Color Run so I had to get off the powder of me, that took definitely more than 7 minutes but I did not get problems with that at all. 2 metro stations nearby and also the train station. Perfect location, nice accomodation for reasonable price.
Location , people
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean. Kitchen facilities.
Some traffic noise but not too bad considering location on busy street.
Easy access to all public transport. Staff are very helpful, thoughtful & friendly. Beds comfortable. Great security. Felt safe. Very welcoming.
No maps of Milano available at the time.
Good dorm rooms and its in a very cool building. Near to a metro station, however its a small stop so you usually have to catch a connecting metro to get to central station, etc. Kitchen available so that was good.
There are some things that just let this place down. Firstly finding the place is a bit difficult, the only sign is a tiny plaque on the buzzer board. Its also in a slightly creepy area, so not good to arrive at night. The lady at the front desk really needs to work on her customer service skills, I dont think she is actually rude she just comes across as though she doesn't want to be there and that each new guest is a hassle. Her way of interacting with guests greatly affected the hostel in general, but other than that she was helpful and friendly once you got past the service part. I went to bed early one night (10pm) and to show the room to some new guests she turned on the dorm light and began talking loudly about the services, I thought this was a bit inconsiderate. Personally I think there are better hostels for a similar price in Milan.
great a/c, owner was very friendly and helpful
challenge paying with credit card when checking in late
Although the hostel is near the central station, it takes me quite a long time to find it. Thanks to a cordial Russian couple, my mother and I finally find the place. The next day I found the hostel is quite near the station and there is a metro station nearby, quite convenient to reach the Milan Cathedral. The host is nice and led us to the room, which is opposite to the reception. Our room is quite large with a large double-size bed and it is quite clean and quiet. The shared bathroom is clean and just next to our room. The kitchen has all necessary facilities.
It is hard to find the hostel in the evening. There is no table in the room, only a side table. Because the room is newly decorated, there is some smell in the room. Sensitive people may feel uncomfortable.h
Beds, mattress. Kitchen kettle had a rusted heating coil Corridors were dumped with useless stuff. Dark and gloomy atmosphere within.
staff is very friendly, they gave us local tips and made sure that we could call them if we had any questions. the location is also good. it is closed to the central station,to a subway station and to the shopping street buenos aires. the beds are comfortable. we even had a little balcony in the room! the shared bathrooms were clean. If I go to Milan again, I would definitely stay here!
nothing bad about here
Fine hostel, close to Milano Centrale FS. Very nice people.
very nice boss, very friendly staff, very sweet family hostel! They were very happy to explain every question about travelling in Milan that i asked.
Close to the main station, ten minutes on foot with luggage. Just for a night it can be considered as an option if you just need a bed to put your head on.
The guys have no idea about management. I have booked a room with four beds in it. After the first night, they changed my room without my consent when I was out. The new room had five beds meaning more shoes, more smelly things etc. Then, the following day they added another bed to make it more miserable. Simply six people in a small room inhaled each other's breath. Without oxygen it is quite easy to fall asleep. Not to mention my complaints fell on deaf ears. A weird thing is that a bit collects the remote controllers of the air cons in the morning, and distributes them room by room in the evening. The guys running the place actually reside across the street in another building where they welcome people, and then do not care to do anything at all. This hostel is definitely not worth staying. They charge 30 euros including the city tax (2€) and cannot even provide the basics, or do not care at all. I would advise not to stay there unless you are looking for a place for transfer purposes.
they said they are getting the place fumigated. the owner was very apologetic and seemed sincere in her effort to correct the bug situation. i would say that it might be an okay place to stay provided you make sure they did get the bug infestation taken care of.
there were bugs in the bunk next to mine. we were up all night dealing with the situation. it was too late to change to another hostel. had to sleep there.
Walking distance to the Central Station Clean room and bathroom Internet was good
Doors are paper thin with clunky keys - bring earplugs if you want any chance of sleeping. The staff member who checked me in had a neck tattoo and broken teeth, I found it disconcerting when he photographed my passport and also when he sat outside my room in the common kitchen receiving loud text messages for several hours. The bedding is old and mismatched.
They (Arliss and Sachin) welcomed us like family!! In 9 stays in Italy, this was the best reception! We felt welcomed. They had the extra pillows I had asked for in email. Arliss sat right down with a map showing us where we were, and where things to see were. Recommended place to go for the traditional "happy hours"... was great. Was quiet there. Small kitchen with reception, but no lounge. Tea, coffee and cookies available. However, Arliss was doing an apprenticeship and was leaving shortly. Near shopping district and public transport. 2 clean, accessable bathrooms. Suggest to hostel just put out a basket on the table for keys in the morning.
The room had a couple windows up high, but not accessable, nor a fan.
The owner was lovely welcoming and accommodating when I needed to extend my stay the location is good and I found the cleanliness pretty good the dorm was large bright and with high ceilings yet was not cramped with beds the balcony was great the air conditioning was fantastic too
I was disappointed as the oven and cook top did not function only micro wave and kettle there was however a fridge for use
