Pisa is a lovely city I have been lucky to visit a few times. The Leaning Tower is worth seeing, but I would suggest going in late evening or out of the tourist season. But there are other places worth checking out - this time we discovered the Nave Antica Museum - only opened in 2019 just before Covid, which houses many Roman boats from BC, which were found after flooding in 1998 - in an old horse stables - lots of gems - lovely restaurants and because it is a student town, there is always a buzz - we've been there in all seasons of the year and it is well worth visiting any time of year, although July and August are very very hot.

Pisa sights are mostly gathered in one place.
Pisa sights are mostly gathered in one place. It can be busy with a lot of tourists but it is not so busy as Florence for example. It is very simple to walk in the city from one place to another. And there are plenty things to do except the Tower.

Excellent transport system - used train for 2 day trips.
Excellent transport system - used train for 2 day trips. Airport only 1.6km walk from train station. Easy to walk around Pisa. Enjoyed Leaning Tower of Pisa & Cathedral - recommend you book before your visit as tickets for tower may not be available on the day and you are allocated a specific time to access the tower. All bags must be stored in a locker, free of charge, when going up the tower. Charge of €1 to use the toilets. Pisa is a lovely place to stroll around in the evening.

The Leaning Tower was beautiful and as breathtaking as I had anticipated. I was surprised to discover that the Duomo also has a slight lean! I would have liked to walk around the medieval city on the wall, but it is closed to tourists. One afternoon was enough to see the tower, church, and Duomo. There are 20 restaurants on the street from the Leaning Tower, all equally excellent and all with nearly jdentical menus.

Pisa is quite a nice city, small, and not too much to do besides the obvious tourist areas. A 2-3 days stay here would probably suit most people who come here mostly for the tower and area surrounding it. I like Pisa all in all.
We used this B&B because of its location near Pisa airport both on arriving and leaving Italy. We arrived at night after a late flight; the owner had already sent videos by WhatsApp of the location, how to enter the property, and what was inside, which was very useful. The apartment itself had what we needed for a short stopover, with food available in the shared kitchen. The milk, juice and fresh fruit was especially appreciated. We also sat in the garden in the morning to have breakfast.
The location was excellent - right across from the train station, and a block away from the bus stop that took us straight to the tower of Pisa. Our host responded immediately to our text and was outside the hotel ready to greet us when we arrived and show us to our rooms. There was no lift and we had heavy suitcases which he effortlessly carried for us up all the stairs! The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Some street noise early in the evening but quiet during the night.
We had a nice two night stay at this hotel, the location was fantastic! The rooms were very nice and the hotel was really stylish. We arrived an hour early and we were allowed into our room, we really appreciated this, we also appreciated the reception's help when we asked if they could order us a taxi to the airport, we found them very poilte and helpful. The hotel is in a short walk to Pisa's main attractions and is in a pretty avenue that is lined with trees.
we arrived early and Milena met us there to allow us to store our luggage until our room was ready. She referred us to a family owned pizza restaurant next to the B&B to eat at. The pizza was the best we’ve had on our trip around Italy!! When we arrived back at the time suggested Milena informed us that she upgraded our room! Such a sweet nice lady Milena is. She made our stay in Pisa perfect and memorable! Thank you again Milena!
This little inn was a refuge for us after multiple flight cancelations and much stress. It gave us peace of mind to be so close to the airport. The staff were kind and easy going. The rooms themselves were clean and modern. The bathrooms were clean, modern with plenty of hot water and good pressure. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant as our last meal in Italy. Great, affordable choice.
The best hotel! New and modern facilities. Directly outside of Pisa Centrale train station, walking distance to Pisa Tower. Bus Lam Rossa to Pisa tower too. The room has safe and kettle, which are important. Very comfortable beds. Great for the value. This is also a good suggested stay if want to go to Florence or cinque terre. 1 hour train to both.
Very close to airport and the was ok to stay one night. It was clean enough and warm especially during winter time 2022 regarding to cost reduction most of the hotels, B&Bs in Italy do not open the heaters after 9 pm but this room was quite warm. on the other hand by 20 mins walking you can reach the popular shopping streets or POIs.
Stayed two nights and found hotel ideal. Self service breakfast. Good selection. Breakfast available if early departure required. Room large and property very well maintained. Near airport. Short walk to airport 5 - 10min. Request Google map address to enter from reception as entry is not airport but road.
I really Like the staff was helpful and had nice hospitality.. had more facilities like kitchen well equiped.. nice bathroom for shower.. nice balcony for tea..breakfast... and rate was reasonable per night not like other hotels..or hostels so expensive...and was near airport and near pisa centrale.
It was fun! A taste of Italy past in decor and oh so clean and friendly and comfortable. The staff could not have been better. Our.night was so comfortable and quiet. It's right near the train station with a number of good spots to eat nearby. And it's inexpensive. Thanks to all at Hotel Pace!
Super location , halfway between the station and the city centre. Friendly staff with good restaurant recommendations. Super clean room , just be aware at the front of the hotel you could hear Pisa in the street below . If you want silence ask to be at the back of the hotel .
Close to Pisa Centrale station. Ideal for an overnight on way to rest of Italy or coming back home via Pisa Airport. Very helpful, friendly and obliging staff, Excellent breakfast with a good range of choices. Quiet so you get a good night's sleep. And very reasonably priced.
Everything was amazing, we've been traveling Italy for two weeks now, and La Torre Garbata is the best place we have stayed by far. We could leave our bags there earlier and collect them later after checkout which made our stay in Pisa easier. Elisa and her staff were great
Hotel exceeded my expectations. Staff were brilliant and so helpful, hotel was around 15 minute walk from the leaning tower and about 20 minutes to Pisa Central train station. Good variety at breakfast, rooms were clean and cleaned everyday. Cannot fault the hotel at all
I've stayed here 4 times . I use it as a base or overnight stop on my trips to Italy as its central location near airport and train station. Its very basic but lovely.. staff are so nice .. I've given a few reviews and all are different depending on my stay.
The staff of this hotel is very humble and hospitable in nature. They offered us breakfast at no cost, printed map to navigate as our data signals were poor. The hotel location is pretty close to restaurants and Pisa tower.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite The location was a 5 minute walk to Pisa International Airport so it was super convenient. Breakfast was included and the stay was a great end to a 5 day break in Italy!
The location was perfect, parking was easy and the staff were so friendly! Out of all the hotels we stayed at throughout Italy, this one was our favorite and the perfect ending to our trip.
The hotel is in a central location. If you're travelling by train its just opposite and just around 20 mins walk to pisa. Even the airport is just a 20 mins walk. Excellent location
