We just wanted a cheap and clean place to sleep with a nice location, free wifi and 24hr Reception, and that's what we got. The staff was really nice and helpfull. From the train/bus/metro/taxi station it's just a one minute walk.
Nothing. We were in Rome for four days, and only slept in the hotel, so for us, it didn't matter that it was a small room.
If you're in Rome for the first time, it is the best place to stay at, The location of the hotel is perfect, one minute away from the termini station, everything is close. Nice places around. The hotel's owners are very welcoming and helpful. Good value for money! Grazieee
Hotel Charter was perfect for our visit to Rome. It is located about a block away from the main train station which made it quite simple to get around. The staff was excellent and provided service that was above and beyond what we expected. We would definitely stay at Hotel Charter again.
The only thing that could have posed a problem was noise from the street below. This was only noticed if the window was open. Air conditioning is available.
The location is great, right by the train station.
I wish I knew there was no AC. It rained so with the window open to get any air the room was humid and people talking in the alley kept me up at 5am. It was clean but cramped and not nice, old furniture and not a comfortable bed. No internet option.
Stayed here for a week as a base for exploring Rome and for this it was excellent. I was given a room facing the courtyard and it was very quiet, which afforded a good sleep. The shower was good, WiFi (which was free) had a good constant connection. Staff at the front desk were very helpful whenever I needed anything. I'd highly recommend staying here if you need a place to rest your head after a day exploring the city - it is perfect for this. The proximity to Termini is also great, while the Colosseum, Forum etc. are only about 15-20 minutes walk.
Bathroom smelt a bit weird for the first couple of nights, but this problem was fixed.
you would be no worry about the transportation to anywhere in Italy from this hotel becuz its just almost beside the main train station; however, the atmosphere of its location is not clean and you might see some nasty things around. Also you need to be careful of your stuff very well. There are so many restaurants around though which are full of tourists. Staff are very kind and pleased. Although I used internet they got it free to me. Room was fairly clean and my window was opened to the backyard, so night was kind of quiet to sleep. Toilet was small beyond imagine but clean and conformable. َAlso, the baggage could be left after check out by the receptionist to be collected later.
Internet was very bad at the fist night. It couldn't connect by any device and after 100 times try, the speed was extremely low. It was better at the second night though. Internet costs 5$ per day; however, they was kind to me and made it free. The room and the sheets were clean but I think it is time to wash the curtains and the bed covers for sure. There are quiet dirty. Be Noted that there is ONLY ONE electricity plug in the room. I was in a big trouble every night to charge my phone, tablet and laptop. My room window was open to the back yard which I think was share with other hotels and there were some "fries smell" during the whole night. I do not recommend to keep the window open during the night any how becuz of the smell and the noise outside.
Good location, Extremely friendly staff,
Very expensive for the quality of the room
Located within 5 mints of Roma Termini station. Rooms are small but clean. Reccomonded only if you request a room which does not have a window on the street and if you need to spend just one night.
Located on a junction of very busy street corners. The rooms facing the street are very noisy through the day and night and windows can not be opened. Ac and WiFi are available at extra cost only. No tea service provided in the rooms and the vending machine installed is broken. The lift installed is meant for wheelchair bound people and is very slow for normal operations.
Location is good 2 minutes walking from metro station but not clues to the Trave fountain or Spanish steps. Cleaning the room was daily, and they change towels every 3 days Family business and very friendly and helpful people
Need to change the shower soap holder & the caters. Pillows are ok but not soft, old and need to be changed but again it's 2* hotel Ac was on only the 1st night
The location was good, one street away from the train and bus station. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit small but value for money.
No air conditioning. No coffee making facilities. Doors banging in the night.
you could not be closer to the train station and bus terminal....easy to get on and off. a million restaurants and hotel...
just a little confusing to get there, had to ask but everyone is helpful in rome. front rooms are nosiy. have to pay extra for A/C
20 minute walk to historic area of Rome and easy access to subway and other trains at Station Termini. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Air conditioning is charged and does not work well.
Close to train station Good sized room Got a map of city
Have to pay for air-conditioning Have to pay for wifi No breakfast
The hotel is very small and the lift from lobby is tiny with no stair option but for location this is perfect.
Air con was extra and wi fi was €5 a day
Location, few block from Roma Termini. Nice brasseries around.
Room, small and dirty Facilities. Don't let price figure deceive you before make a reservation. The price doesn't include air conditioner, wifi internet or hair dryer ! Bathroom, ridiculously small Elevator. Actually, it's modified goods elevator. You have to continually press button without release to smoothly move the machine up or down, otherwise it halted in the middle !
The staff was really helpful and kind. The room was well lighted, clean and spacious. No luxuries, but great price/quality relation. The hotel is next to Termini station, a place that connects all transports to and from the city and whitin. You will surely cross Termini several times during your stay, so you might as well stay close-by :) I definitely recommend the hotel if you just want a place to rest, sleep well and make the most of your day!
The neighbourhood is not the nicest place in Rome, but the location is great for connecting and moving around. The hotel reception area is small and there's no bar or lounge to hang around. But that wouldn't prevent me from staying there the next time I visit Rome. No need to hang around in the hotel when the city is full of bars, ice cream shops and plenty of other chill-out places.
really close to Termini 2 minutes walk, very clean and comfortable room, friendly, hospitable and helpful reception. I'm recommend this Hotel.
little bit noisy room because the nearby street has high traffic at night too.
We got a room towards an inner courtyard, very noise and full of terrible smell. the wifi needs to be paid extra. unbearable to live, We changed the hotel during the stay in Rome. just 3 min on foot away, We moved to a much much better place. incl. breakfast and free wifi.
Central and clean...
You have to add 5€ per day for wifi, 10€ per day for aircon and a tax for each person of 2€ per night... Too many hidden costs...
It was a great location! Friendly and helpful staff! Great price, clean, simple!
Excellent advice for sightseeing by manager. Within 30 minutes walking of forum and Coliseum, but also 5 minutes from bus terminus
Traffic noise. Rather pay extra for air conditioning so that you can keep the windows closed.
Very close to Rome termini station, which enables visiting tourist attractions easily by metro, bus or hop-on hop-off rides. Roberto at reception was kind and helped us with hints to go around the city.
Great location, second street to the termini station. Easily access from and to airport. Staff are friendly. I feel safe there.
10 Euro per night extra for the use of aircon. It is quiet noisy especially when you need to leave the window if you don't want to pay for the aircon. 5 Euro for Wifi
The staff was extremely helpful and nice - each and every one of them! Location is very good. Very close to the main train station. Short walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
A bit noisy (my room was facing a noisy street) Only one way up to the rooms and down to the lobby (very slow elevator)
