We liked the location near the piazza and port. The breakfast was good.
No windows in the room.
We stayed at The Chiaja Hotel for 4 nights last month-July, 2014. We could not fault the facilities, location and helpfulness of the staff. They all went out of their way to make our stay in Naples memorable. I inadvertantly left an electric shaver in a bedside cabinet. They located it for me and kindly forwarded it on. Don't let others put you off staying in Naples. It is an exciting, vibrant, interesting and beautiful city.
We have stayed in many hotels in Naples before but the Chiaja is our favorite so far. Very friendly staff, the location for shopping is perfect (on the right a high street (LV, Prada, etc.) on the left via Toledo for low budget). Very quiet pedestrian area as well. We travelled with a 2 years old child which sometimes can be stressful but the staff was warm hearted and helpful. Also excellent position for sight seeing!
Breakfast ok Staff ok
Rooms tried to be shabby chic, just shabby. Bad smell from bathroom Every time you left room air con went off.
So noisy! Impossible to sleep without earplugs if your room overlooks the street. Dirty walls and bathroom. Really old facilities in need of modernisation .
Location is very good, hotel deco is nice and cosy, staff very friendly
Breakfast a little lacking
Best location in the whole Napoli. Very cute hotel with very ``Italy`` style and location. Very very romantic and nice staff. But Napoli IS dangerous, we was nearly robbed two(2) times on four days.
small rooms but nice balcony.
Central location off busy shoppping street but very quiet. Friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable rooms and the evening pattiserie in the lounge a nice treat. Close to port, shopping areas and public transport. Good value city hotel with character.
Charming and helpful staff. Smallish room, but clean and adequate. A good choice for Naples
Chaia is the main walking street of Naples. So no traffic noise, but lots of people noise. As long as a/c works, you're fine.
Location and helpfulness of staff with assisting me and been helpful n kind with preparations(pen, scissors, dress and and offer of a ironing service)stayed for friends wedding,, and most definite stay again if I travel to naples.
Location in the historical area of the city.
Noisy pedestrian street on Saturday
The hotel was difficult to find and the taxi could not take you right to the door as it is in a walking precinct
The staff were charming and helpful. The location was superb. The wifi was great in the room. The 35 Euro airport transfer to the hotel was efficient and useful as the hotel isn't easy to find. The breakfast was excellent.
The shower door wasn't effective and there was inadequate shelving in the bathroom - minor matters.
Very expensive for what it was
The hotel is charming, hidden away behind the shopping walking street in our favorite section of Naples-It is close to some of our favorite restaurants, the Opera, and the water front.
Somewhat limited breakfast, but overall a great deal.
location, friendly staff
The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the port and city centre. The staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was decent, with good coffee (the most important part of breakfast!).
The hotel is a little bit overpriced for the facilities offered.
Great location, nice sized room for three people, friendly service, decent breakfast.
The bed set up in the room for the third person was a bit small... We assumed we would have three twin beds, not a king size and fold up bed.
The kindness and humour of staff.
Very central, plenty restaurants nearby.
Small shower, but good water pressure. Car access / parking problematic. Noisy street until around 9pm.
The hotel inside was very nice
The entry to the hotel from the street was unbelievable. The neighborhood around the hotel did not seem clean at all.
Great location, friendly staff. Our triple room had more than enough space for us all. Fresh pastries at breakfast was a treat along with juices, yogurt, fruit and cereal.
Charming in a homely sort of way; first class location; people watch from the balcony and evoke images of Romeo n Juliet; frontdesk staff were very helpful n generally efficient.
Had trouble finding entrance to hotel; didnt see any signages n as we arrived at siesta time, the imposing wooden doors (entrance) were shut. Room n bathroom were very small.
Location. Near most of the things you want to see in Naples. A busy street but quiet at night. The professionality and helpfulness of the staff. Good value for money. It was good to find a high level of security, we felt safe.
Very little. Furnishings starting to get a bit shabby and aircon rather noisy. In September the nights were cool enough, but in the high summer that could be a problem.
Room was clean, comfortable and quiet for the most part. Location of the hotel is excellent. Wifi worked well and the decor of the room was unique and stylish. Breakfast was great, with fresh made coffee and different pastries, fruit, cereal, etc...
Hotel staff was not very helpful... They rushed us through check-in and didn't seem to have time for us. Air conditioner was not working, when I asked the desk I was told the air would not work if the window was open. Even still, the air conditioner didn't seem to work very well... Our room was in the back with a view of residential places, which could be noisy at times... Then again, we booked a low-priced option... I'm sure other rooms are better.
