Very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Interesting restoration of a very old facility (convent). Excellent parking facilities. Staff was very friendly, informative, and helpful. |

It is a nice hotel built in an old monastery. Basic services but ok. The attention of the personal is nice. A little bit far from city centre to go by walking, but no problem with a car, as they have free parking. |

The breakfast was really good - a wide choice of food available. The rooms were very clean and the shower was nice and hot. There were beautiful views from the hotel and a bus that stops right outside the door to take you into the city. There are no staff available between 11am and 5pm. This meant that we had to carry our bags around all day and by the time we had managed to find the hotel (the website doesn't give good directions and the signs pointing to it just stop before you reach it!) we were very tired and wet but still had to wait for some staff to come for over an hour. If we could have just left our bags somewhere and changed our wet clothes we would have been much happier. |

This was a clean, well located hostel. The renovation was so complete that it did not feel like you were staying in an old location. Also, it was listed as a hostel when we arrived but not on the web site. |

It was very charming although the rooms were a bit stark as you would expect for a Monastery. The breakfast in the courtyard was wonderful. We arrived at night and had some trouble finding it. |

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the setting was lovely - very different, the rooms were large, breakfast was buffet-style and was ample and good and the bedding/bathroms were very clean Only a couple of small things: 1 the hotel was difficult to find - signs leading up to it were not particularly good; 2 the rooms became stuffy and heat seemed to be retained, but that might simply be due to the nature of the building being a converted monastery |

We liked the hotel - its basic but clean and only a short walk to centre of Volterra but you do have to climb a lot of steps . As we stayed in the middle of August the lack of air conditioning in the rooms was a drawback. |

The breakfast has a good choice of items and the architecture of the hotel is interesting. Despite the good location of the hotel and all the nice breakfast, there was no air con and my friend had to sleep on the floor because it was too hot in the room. |

The hotel is very serene, recently redecorated with clean lines and comfort in mind. You can have a full breakfast in the cloister with pastries, meats, cheeses, cereal, and choice of coffee. Our room shared a bath, but that, too, was well designed so that our room and one shared a bathroom with an entrance from the room right into the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a little out of the way if you're walking and the bus runs infrequently but it is walkable to town. The main problem is the lack of sidewalk more than the distance. Unless you're right in the middle of town, this is as good an option as any. |

Riscaldamento migliorabile. Colazione insufficiente. |

O hotel é bem agradavel, silencioso e aconchegante. O horario para check in e check out é bem limitado.

It's a 10-minute walk from the centre of Volterra to this 4-star hotel, surrounded by the hilly Tuscan countryside and offering an on-site restaurant and friendly service. |
The Hotel la Locanda is in the historical centre of Volterra. We are near to the Roman Amphitheatre and to the “Porta Fiorentina”. |
This elegant apartment complex is situated in Pancole, an outlying hamlet in the historic jewel of San Gimignano. |
This new hotel is located in the fascinating ancient Etruscan and medieval village of Volterra, in close proximity to the famous Piazza dei Priori and the town’s main museums. |
