I liked the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast served in the room and the unique design of the room and the hotel as a whole. Our room was directly in front of the reception and this gave us less privacy. Nevertheless the hotel was quiet and there was not much traffic or noise to disturb our stay. |

Cool design (chromatherapy means that you can set up colour of the light in the shower corner), comfortable bed, nice receptionists, beautiful view on the San Giovanni in Laterano square. Quite noisy since the hotel is situated on a busy intersection (cars blowing their horns all the time, ambulance sirenes - hospital nearby), the window wasn´t that soundproof as the receptionist promised me, little light for reading in the bed, the lights above the bed actually illuminate only approx. 20cm wide zone of it). I missed a hairdrier in the bathroom, in the hotels of this price range it is usually a standard equipment. The cleaning staff is bit too active for my taste. They closed my suitcase and moved from next to bed to under the table, closed my jewellery case and moved to another table, the same with the cosmetics in the bathroom, they thrown away a free sample of a cream - shouldn´t it be me who decides whether it is empty? |

Breakfast not served in the building. It was in the cafe down the road. Porter did not have much info on tours around Rome. |

We stayed at Purple Infusion room and it was superb! It's not the usual design for hotels...and it even has it's own coffeemaker. Aside from that, we have a great view of Rome's streets as our room has its veranda. Bathroom design was nice as well esp those mosaic tiles. Feels like you're in a spa instead of a hotel room. But what made this trip most memorable was the hospitality of its staff. There was only one guy who takes care of this place but what it lacks in number, it makes up for its service. He even went through the trouble of showing us around town. We had an early morning departure but he made sure to send us off nicely. Would definitely recommend this place esp for couples! As we just took the Metro going to the hotel, we had a hard time finding the place as there is no visible sign. You need to take note of the street no. and look for that to be able to find it. |

The location was good. Had we known that our room had no windows, we would NEVER have booked here. We cannot see how this room would ever have passed fire regulations and I felt extremely insecure during the 4 days I spent in it. There were no fire instructions posted in the room (as we feel are required by law) and no information pack in the room apart from how to operate the Espresso machine by the manufacturer's brochure. When we arrived, there was a young Chinese man on duty who said that he would be leaving in 20 minutes (5pm). We never saw anyone on Reception for the rest of the evening, In fact the "hotel" was left unattended for hours. The description of the room was misleading (now been changed after our complaint). |

The room was spacious, clean and really design! The hotel is quite well positioned as you can reach the colosseo by walk and if you want to quickly reach other famous places, there is a metro station called Manzoni, closed to the Chroma hotel. Next time, I will book this place! Nothing, the place is really new. |

Good walking distance to many sights, and not too far from the metro system. Funky decor in the hotel and balconies out onto the street. A small lift is available, and, hotel is secure. Initially a little difficult to find, look for a news stand on the corner at via merulana, the entrance is through the black doors right next to it. Breakfast is in the restaurant next door and really not much to look forward too. |

As first time travelers to Rome, we were very concerned with where to stay. The Chroma seemed to good to be true when I booked it, but we were pleasantly suprised. It is a hidden gem tucked away inside a random city street. The staff spoke good english, and there was one gentlemen in praticular that helped us a great deal with reccomendations where to eat/go/etc. He was there almost every night, and was more than willing to answere any and all questions that we had. It was right down the street from a huge church and center square where there was a grocery store, and many other conveniences. It was a 15 minute walk to the colosseum, with regards to location, it seemed like a very safe place. Nothing, the Chroma didn't have very many reviews, but if you are reading this, and going to Rome for the first time. You really can't go wrong. You'll get great continental breakfast on there private terrace, with awesome coffee! It's a good location, and rather than taking all of the metro/bus/subway systems, which I've read are pickpocket ridden, take a sightseeing bus (but don't take Ciao Roma bus, as they left us stranded, and we had to take a public bus home!) The sightseeing busses will drop you at all the locations, and when you are done, just walk back to where they dropped you off, and your onto the next sight! We felt safer doing this, and figured we wouldn't have to worry about making multiple connections to get back home! |

The interior of our room was lovely. Nice big bed and great shower. The water system makes a funny noise when it refills during showering and flushing the toilet. |

The room was comfortable and very clean, the bathroom was very nice. The layer of the bed was the most comfortable. It was very near to train station and metro, also had a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and super markets in the area. The guy who worked in the reception was gentle helpful and smiling. |
