B&B Venus is on the 4th floor of a building from the late 19th century, near the outdoor market in Via Montebello. Roma Termini Train Station is just over a quarter mile away.
Score from 113 reviews Excellent
Just 200 metres from Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica in central Rome, Martino Ai Monti offers a shared kitchen and modern rooms with free WiFi and parquet floors. The Coliseum is a 10-minute walk away.

Value for money, everything was according description
Shower water was only cold
Nice and clean rooms. Helpful stuff (good contact before arrival and during the stay). Good location for those who prefers walking tours (close to all important places).
The Staff were helpful and the Wi-Fi was great. The apartment was also very secure. Made use of Airport Service both ways. Would suggestion this is used if arriving after dark.
Always made a point of getting back before dark. Many "down and outs" in the locality made 3 ladies very nervous! The third bed is a pull down.
not so clean
Close to central station, clean bed
Scary and rubbish staircase located in unsafe street close to the central station lead to normal rather clean rooms. It was really noisy, couldn't sleep at night. The message on the door recommends not to open it to anybody even if the door bell rings.
This place was completely terrible,we came later than the official time for check-in is and eventhough I informed the staff about this, noone was waiting for us and our room was not prepared at all. The wifi was not working all the time and there was NO breakfast eventhough we paid for it!! Also light in the kitchen was not working so when I wanted to cook a coffee or something in the evening I had to use my phone to get some light...I don t recommend to anyone to go here!
Location is perfect however can be sketchy for some. This was our second time in Rome so to have the Metro right at our door step was amazing.
Service was horrible. Very hard to get a hold of anyone and gave no way to reach in case of anything. When I booked I made sure to see if they proved AC since we were coming in August and on my booking said AC provided and mini fridge. When we got there the AC was a fan (not a substitute for AC) bed and nothing else. The room did not look or smelled clean at all and was a very uncomfortable stay. I am glad this was not our first time in Rome because would have left a bad impression. I love Rome and can't wait to go back again one day but never to to this Bed and Breakfast. Also was never provided breakfast even though it was supped to be included.
Hector the handyman, very central only a 15 min walk from colloseum. Nice restaurants in the area. Train station very close but you can't hear any trains. Overall for the money you pay its worth it! The fridge was good too as there wasn't really a breakfast you could buy your own stuff to put in the fridge and there was a couple of kitchen hobs in the reception area to use to cook food.
Breakfast was a loaf of bread, so wouldn't class it as a bed and breakfast.
I had hot water...... for a minute.....
Everything! It was horrible. First off the cab driver told us to be watchful and not be out at night.... then left quick! The elevator didn't even hold 4 people. The building was falling apart. This was like the start of a horrible horror film. The guy that checked us in charged the city tax and didn't even have the 2 euros change to give me back. "Bed and breakfast"... hahaha, yes, there was a bed but the "breakfast" was a pre-wrapped croissant. Also, there were coffee cups, but no coffee machine. Not to mention the sign on the door in the little room they call an office.... "Do not answer if the bell rings" and at the bottom in pen it said, "even if they say police". I WISH I could upload pictures I took of this place. We were scheduled to stay two nights but cut that stay short and found a better hotel. Don't trust the one picture that is posted of this hotel. Items from the previous guests were left in the room and not taken. In the drawer next to the bed there was a bottle of lubricant and a hair dryer. I kinda expected a Bible..... no such luck. There is a shower head, but the holder is next to the faucet so you can't stand under the water. And finally, my girlfriend and I were locked in the bathroom for about 10 minutes because the door got stuck closed. There is a reason the staff only stays until 4:30 PM. Worst hotel experience in my life!
First, we had to hunt and buy a sim card to call the reception and then wait for them to come for an hour. It took 3 hrs to get the keys in our hand. This is not a hotel, this is some guy who owns some apartments near the railway station, who is renting them out. NO SERVICE AT ALL.
Shared kitchen with fridge. Coffee and milk was available. Spacious room.
Shower went cold one of the days
Hard to find. Breakfast is very simple
very close to train station
staff just finished smoking as we walked into the small office area - not a 'bed and breakfast' - there is no breakfast except a small fruit tart and warm boxed juice or coffee
The room is very cheap and the location is great. I can only recommend this B&B if you want to save money otherwise don't go there
The reception is small, the staff didn't want to let us in at 10.30 pm eventhough they knew we were coming. It smelled like vomit and smoke at the reception. The room is small but comfortable, but it was also dirty. There were hairs in the sink, the shower and in the bed.
That's a small, quite and old building in compatible with Rome's history. I like the friendly staff.
The price was good, it was clean and the location is ok.
You should know that this area is little suspicious. We were there 4 nights. We had "breakfast" which was one cookie. There was no coffee and tea.
staff and facilities they can not speak in english. facility was very bad. The shower in my room and my friends were broken and I couldn't take a shower. Also, the breakfast was very simple.
