Antico Panada dates back to 1889. It is in 2 historic buildings, 100 ft from Saint Mark's Square. The air-conditioned rooms feature refined furniture, and Murano lamps.

Opened in 1308, the Albergo Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo is one of the oldest hotels in Venice. It is set right behind St. Mark's Square, and features elegant rooms and a private pier.
Score from 1779 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, Centauro Hotel is in a 16th century building, 1500 ft from St. Mark's Square. All elegant rooms have satellite TV and a private bathroom.
Score from 845 reviews Very good
Expensive and not worth it. Hard to find and small rooms.
The staff was wonderful and breakfast nice however the facilities not worth a 3star nomination.
The airconditioning was central so the room was very warm in the month march. I didn't like paying for wifi, it has to be free.
I realy like the location. It was 2 minutes walking from the san marco square. The breakfast was oke not so bad as people said in the reviews. The room was clean and big enough. I like the decoration in a venetian style.
very hard to find.
clean hotel. excellent location near to San Marco.
Staff could be nicer.Although we had our do not disturb sign up, housemate knocked our door.Music playing on the corridors which woke me up every morning. No view from window, some building works going on.
Small room but clean, lovely deco. Great shower and bubble bath. Great location, lovely little streets, between Rialto and San Marco. Although we got lost every time it was fun and we always manage to found our way back. Go to Devil Forest Pub, great atmosphere and all in burger is yummy. I would stay here again but I would make sure I am in a room away from the speakers that play music on the corridors and I would take my own hairdryer as the one in the bathroom is not too good.
It served our holiday well
The pillows were awful. My husband and I both had trouble sleeping on them. The room was also really hot and we had to open the window for some air. Both things that re just personal preference. Otherwise, this place was great.
The location of this hotel was fantastic as it is situated right between St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. The staff there were also so great. They answered so many questions and were very helpful with our son who came down with a fever. They helped us find a pharmacy and mapped out directions to the hospital and printed them in case we needed it. They then followed up and checked on him the next day. The breakfast was pretty standard for Europe. Although, the coffee was better than at any other hotel that I have stayed. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Hotel has a strange odor.
I liked the location.
Beds could have been comfier
Location and breakfast
When we got to the hotel after a long trip with our 2 years old girl, we were welcomed by a "closed for renovation" notice on the hotel door, saying we were to go to a hotel 150m further away. In that "Antico Panada Hotel" none of the room faclities we had booked for at the "Citta de Milano" hotel were offered: no flat screen tv, no wifi, no spa bath and more importantly no air conditionning (the heating being crancked all the way up with no way to turn it down we had to sleep with the windows wide open in december!). Even the facilities that the "Antico" advertise on this web site were not there and the pictures must have been taken from another hotel because the triple bedroom we got looked absolutely nothing like the pictures they advertise (I'd be happy to add them to this comment so you can see the staggering difference for yourself). Searching the internet we discovered that it seems to be a comun pratice for the Citta de Milano (and another best western Hotel) to bill you the full amount the minute you book the room but dump its guests to a lower rate hotel that doesn't even match its own description on the booking site. This whole scam should not be allowed and booking web site should purge their listing from those hotels. I am no law expert but it seems to me that, when we book a room there is a contract (a moral one at the least) underlying the "transaction" and I can not see how booking rooms for a closed hotel and dumping guests like that is not a breach of that contract. Using booking site we know we might not to get the best room of the hotel in the category we choose but at least we expect to be in that hotel or at the very least to have a matching room type and facilities. This is unacceptable.
Fantastic breakfast , lovely staff.
The room safes had not been installed, but they were advertised. We did not, however, lose any valuables. The jacuzzi tub didn't have any visible controls, so we couldn't use it.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine. The room was small, but beautifully appointed. We had all we needed and we were convenient to all the things we wanted to see.
Hard to find
Nice and close to St. Mark's square
We had a family room and the two single beds for our older children were much too small and uncomfortable.
The location was very convenient.
We arrived at the hotel to see a notice telling us the hotel was closed. We were to go to another hotel - with no directions for our reservation. It was not what we expected, nor what we paid for.
Facilities and staff were very accomodating. Will return and recommend.
Transferred to another hotel without prior notice and the room is smelly. If I had know. i could have arrange for alternative hotel. Slow wifi. Poor service and unfriendly staff.
Hotel Citta di Milano is at the city center, 3 minutes walk from Piaza San Marco. The personnel is very friendly and is always ready to help. The room is clean and tidy. For a short stay in Venice this Hotel is very good.
Wifi is rather poor, but works. the location is very difficult to find, breakfast is average at best and is standard (nothing Italian-specific).
The hotel is clean, in a very good location and with excellent conditions for a Venetian style building. It is very difficult to find, however, the superior rooms are redirected to the sister hotel Antico Panada (be sure to ask). A few of the reception workers are fantastically helpful, and they cheer up the guests greatly.
1) very difficult to find this hotel, even it's so close to the downtown, because there's no clear signboard outside and in a hidden street 2) very small room with a even smaller window, almost can't open it 3) the bed lines and facility are poor 4) not so friendly of the hotel stuff
very good location, just walk several minutes to San Marco Square
The hotel was closed. A sign told me to go to Hotel Panada. No directions given. I checked in at Hotel Panada and was then taken to an annexe round the corner. The room had large curtained windows looking out onto a blank wall six feet away, but was otherwise good. Booking.com gave me no warning of this change, which is a failing of communication. I might otherwise have chosen to go to an alternative hotel (with window views).
The substitute hotel annexe was closer to St Marks Basilica and Piazza.
Its hard to find. The top floor is where breakfast is served so if staying on the floor directly below there is quite a lot of noise.
The location was ideal! Its right at the heart of the city, perfect!
It's hard to find.
The location was fabulous!
Would have been good if a directional board with the hotel name placed prominently at the square near the fountain.
Hotel is in a hidden corner but not difficult to locate. Comfortable and clean environment. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
It wasn't clean and it was constriction for both days of my stay, didn't relaxed at all
Location was good
