Hotel City was just as shown by photographs on website. It was pleasantly quiet and we enjoyed the large array of fruit, cold meats, different rolls and sweet pastries. The cappuchino was great. All of the front desk staff were particularly helpful and it was convenient to be given a laptop to use in the room when needed and its free. The location is ideal with a five minute walk to the Termini and Duomo. We would definitely recommend to friends. One thing we did find odd was that the shower faucet was on the side of the tub, rather than at the end of the tub. |

From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen well. A very warm welcome awaited us & the rooms were beautifully decorated with excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast was superb - a really good selection to choose from & lots of fresh fruit. I would expect this hotel to have a higher rating - it really was top quality all round. 6 ladies travelling together were well pleased!! Not a single thing |

We had a family room (for three people) which was very bright and spacious. The desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast service was very good. Would be nice to have a cooked breakfast option as well. |

Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable and clean room, excellent location. It has a good 'feel' about it and our experience confirms that. This would be our first choice for any future visit to Florence. |

The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the train station. Good value for the money. The hotel is in the more ethnic area of the city, but yet walking distance to the duomo and other sites. |

Does not look like much from the outside but is pleasant little hotel close to train station and tourist sites. Staff pleasant and helpful (speak English). Room exceeded expectations - top floor (#41) more like a suite with bedroom and small sitting room (clerk reported not all are like this). Breakfast with good choices and real capuccino (not from push-button machine). Although no hotel restaurant, directly across the street. there is a small, family run, simple but good food at very reasonable price. |

The breakfast was good and the lady serving the tables was always very pleasant and attentive. I also found the Hotel's close proximity to the train station a great plus! |

We liked very much the staff of the hotel - always helpful and polite. Our special thanks to whiskered man who was humorous and gave us always very smart advice. We also liked the location of the hotel, just five minutes walk to the central railway station. The air condition was very friendly - easy to regulate and the cool air was well directed and free internet access was an extra bonus. The cold buffet breakfast was nice, especially good was the selection of fruits which were very fresh and tasteful. It will be good to have some fresh vegetables (cucambers, tomatos). If you are looking for place to eat outside, we suggest to avoid the small restaurant opposite the hotel - very poor quality of food, no tablecloth. We had a nice double room on the second floor. It seems that the ceilings between the second and third floor was too thin and not soundproof. We just heard every small noise from above. |

The location was excellent, close to the station, market and historical sights. The room was first class being quiet with good aircon, bathroom and comfortable king size bed. If we return to Florence we would stay at the city again. |

It is great value for money, it is very close to the train station in Florence and similarly near the historic centre and shops. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. The first three days we saw cockroaches in the bathroom, after that period they escaped.. |

Very neat and clean, excellent breakfast, good location with all city attractions at walking distance and specially the central station within 500 metres. Clean bathroom with new fixtures. Overall good experience. no safe in the room, walls not soundproof hence had lot of disturbance from adjoining room, hard bed. |

The breakfast was good, the rooms were ok, and all the staff was nice. The only problem were the noise made by the works in a room that made it impossible to sleep after 8 am. But they were urgent works. (broken pipes or something like that). |

This is the third year that we (My family and I) have chosen to stay in the City Hotel. It is a friendly place and one feels quite secure and relaxed in its cool rooms. Breakfasts have improved with much more fruit than before and delicious apricot juice. The staff go out of their way to make the stay pleasant for the guests; they could not be more helpful. I cannot think of anything wrong with our experience of staying at this hotel. It is certainly great value for money, it is very close to the train station in Florence and similarly near the historic centre and shops. |

Great location, near to the station and to the sights. A very friendly and helpful hotel. Breakfast was substantial. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the room with daily room service. Hotel City is a simple, city hotel which proved an excellent choice. |

I liked the location of the Hotel City which was near tourist attractions. I think lacking of parking lot is something that we didn't like. For my family with two kids, it was terrible, especially when we left something in car and we had to go to the parking lot which was on the 3rd basement of a commercial building and we must walk about 7 minute to reach there. |

On arrival we were given a choice of two rooms after viewing both. The decor of this hotel was exactly as depicted in the website photos which was partially why we had chosen it. Breakfast was yummy with a wide variety and the best cappuccino I'd had for weeks. Staff very pleasant. |
