Score from 201 reviews Good
Facilities Cleanliness Colors of the walls in the rooms location - in the historic center near is a very good restaurant
- you can hear everything through walls - breakfast was in an another building, from another provider - you could received only croissant + coffee or croissant + juice or coffee + juice
Price is reasonable.
Although the hotel is very close to main areas, the neighbourhood is not very secure late night for the travelers without car. (Need to check your wallet all time) The bathroom is a seperately located at out of the room. Wifi is poor in the room.
very clean, modern, fresh rooms, good wifi in public areas. some nice affordable restaurants nearby serving good food, owner was kind and stored a bag for us while we cycled toured Eastern Sicily
+ location in the center + clean room + helpful stuff
- street parking was challenging on saturday night (too many cars parked around) - parking was not free (there was some bum charging 2 euros) - wifi didn't work in the room - toilet/shower were across the corridor - the key from the room could open ANY room = no security - quite loud in the night - windows do not open - included breakfast was poor (just a cup of coffee and a pastry)
The owner was ready to answer any questions I had with regard to directions. He was most accommodating when I needed to leave my bags for a few hours after checkout as I had some time before catching a bus to my next destination.
Single occupancy room - the roof was sloping. As a tall person, the only place where I could stand with my back straight was at the entrance of the room and one foot in. I was cramped.
nice small B&B. Friendly staff that speaks excellent Italian but nothing else, though we understood eachother perfectly. Parking was a horrible experience due to a nigh market held on the evening when we arrived, but we could convince a policeman that blocked the road that we had to go to our hotel and then parking was less trouble. A poor breakfast (only a small croissant and coffee) is served in a cafe at 200 meters from the B&B. The B&B itself has a nice kitchen to make your own breakfast ( much better option)
New confortable rooms, located near to the center and the airport
car parking is harder near to the center
Owner agreed to store bike bags until our return in one week, very kind. Room great very clean, bit noisy as there was a festival near the castle adjacent. Breakfast at local cafe.
This hostel is very comfortable, and I found the room incredibly clean and well lit. The wi-fi was surprisingly fast, and I thought the building very beautiful. There is no food (besides two very chic vending machines) in the hostel, to get even breakfast, you have to walk five minutes across cobblestones to a small restaurant situated behind the castle. I didn't mind, in fact I found it charming, but if I had been more elderly it might have been a problem. Because of the situation, the price, and the surprisingly luxurious room, I will definitely be coming back!
The breakfast was a bit lacking, but the coffee was good. I found it disconcerting that the lady that checked me did not speak any other language besides Italian-not even a few words! I don't expect everyone to speak English or German, of course not, but when you work at a Hostel its kind of a no brainer to at the very least know a few words in SOMETHING else. Thankfully the gentleman who arrived (quite a bit) later did speak a few words of English.
in the old city center Clean
-No English speaking staff -The double room is in a old Street with no wifi access -The double room Street was a over noisy and a little bit scary in the night, bo very safe for tourists.
Rooms very clean. Staff was helpful. Right in the city center, so nearby main touristic attractions.
Breakfast provided in a nearby bakery/caffe but the breakfast offer is very limited (just one drink and one pastry). There is free parking in the surroundings of the hostel. However, there is "parking attendants" asking for ramson for your car.
Location is just perfect, close to Castello Ursino and few min from Duomo. A lot of restaurants around. Room was nice and clean with freash towels each day etc. The owner was helpful, e.g in arranging reasonable taxi very early morning.
WiFi in our room was weak.
- big, clean bedroom - new rooms - common kitchen and living room - inside garden
- breakfast not in the hostel but in the restaurant near the hostel
The location was very good, the room was quite spacious and clean.
The staff was unable to communicate in any other language but Italian, the bathroom was not in the room - thank got we didn't have to share it - but you could sense the smell of toilet activity while sitting in the interior garden of the hotel. You could also hear quite a lot of noise coming from that garden even after midnight. Last but not least, the room had no balcony, which was promised in the site, thankfully so, as the rooms with a balcony had a view to the smelly garden.
big clean and nice house
staff and owners a bit wierd. i think the owners live in the house. the man came in to the dorm in the middle of the night turning the lights on and smooking. (weird) kitchen closed a lot, you cant make breakfast if you do it early. (good they have fridge in dorm room) weird atmospher.
The hostel is very clean, well located, the staff is friendly. It's good choice.
It's was complicated for us ti get breakfast wich is served in the near cafe. We didn't take coupons on our arrival in the evening and the first person working in hostel came only at 9 a.m. We were waiting him more than one hour...We called all the numbers we found but it was pointless.
Well-located near central city, piazza duomo, Castello Ursino, bus station, market etc. Newly renovated and clean.
Room was near reception and not well soundproofed. Very noisy with guests arriving and leaving during the night, as well as street noise (including rubbish/recycling trucks collecting right outside at 4am). Wifi patchy inside the room.
The wifi really not good at our room
Very nice owner and staff. Had to stay an extra nite so owner drove us to a new backup b&b nearby for the same rate. Spoke english too.
Poor & shady area nearby.
It's one of the cheapest hostel in Catania. Centrally located. Very clean.
The owners though helpful lacks the charisma.
- Good for the price - clean - close to the central area (although didn't seem like a good neighbourhood) - dorm room was really big and had a fridge
- Wifi didn't really work in the dorm I was in - staff didn't seem that friendly - had signs up saying a free drink for those that gave a good rating on some website (hostelworld or something) ... I think that is dodgy. - they notified booking.com that I was a no show about 20 mins AFTER I checked in. I think there would be better hostels in Catania for a similar budget.
Location, and pleasant room. Good bathroom and hostel well cared for.
Breakfast included in price but situated in an adjacent (very low key) pizzeria restaurant which was closed on the morning of travel. Hostel was closed on arrival and phone numbers did not work Staff absent and not particularly friendly
Brand new premises... well appointed.
Catania isn't the most inspiring place... but this accommodation is clean and relaxing. Nice courtyard too.
Very nice hotel, young people but really quiet Nice welcome and the bedrooms are well decorated and clean. Breakfast is outside, just at the corner. Just 5 min from the city center
You can't really choose the breakfast If you park the car there, prepare to pay the man who asks you for money (like 5 eur /day!)
I love the hostel, It was really clean, central and comfortable. The owner really helpful, even I want to do the check in before time he did it without problem. They have AC, which is really important in Sicily during summer!
