Great place and great Max！We definetly spent a lovely time here. The decoration and facilities made us feel very comfortable. Many details show the efforts Max put in. I will recommend it to friend for sure.
Spacious rooms, nice location and interesting decor
Everything is great here at Civico, we loved our stay. We absolutely recommend it!
Wonderful staff, spacious room with great film poster decor, authentic breakfast experience at local cafe bar with vouchers provided.
Decent location geographically but not the most appealing area of an evening.
-Max was exceedingly friendly and accomodating -Quality of the rooms and decor -The cafe for breakfast was lovely and they spoke fantastic English -Walking distance to great bars and restaurants
-Can't think of anything!
A wonderful stay! Clean, sassy rooms and felt incredibly safe. Good location and great communication from the staff before and during our trip! Would highly recommend!
Very nice owner:) Clean, good localization (close to metro station), just 15min walk do Coloseum, everything was really grate :)
Max was a great help with any questions we had. He even gave us a printed list of nearby restaurants - which we tried 2 of and both were our favourite of the 4 nights we stayed in Rome. The room was very spacious and clean. Free washing service was also a massive bonus
Very clean and comfortable room. Shower has a lot of pressure which was like a massage. The host Max is very friendly, organized and helpful. He had travel books on Rome available to guests, as well as a kettle and coffee machine. Within walking distance to all the attractions, and the train terminal.
Great location and room. Max the host is fanatastic and clearly takes pride in providing his guest with a comfortable stay. WIFI fantastic, best we experienced in Italy.
Breakfast options a bit limited.
Max was as fabulous as all of the reviews indicated. He arranged for transportation back to the airport for us and even carried all of our luggage out to the van. The rooms were all meticulously decorated and spotlessly clean. We could walk to many of Rome's famous sites. This was great value for the price!
Great location, 5 mins from train ,comfy, cosy, perfect . Max is the man in the know-very helpful
breakfast is in a café 2 mins away and its a coffee and a pastry. Thats all
Max was very helpful, showed us around the many attractions in Rome, how to use the Metro & helped us catch our plane back home.
MAX is very nice and friendly boss，he helped us a lot because my friend lost the luggage at the first day ,MAX call airport for us to follow this case until we leaved，finally the luggage was found。fast wifi ,hot port ,electric hair drier servied, room was clean，and clean for us everyday。location is wonderful nearby A LINE -MANZONI station.also can take walk to TERMINI.Breakfast is a very local coffe shop you can have coffe and bread there with local people ,very interesting. beside, there is a good restrant just right before the street, nice taste and nice mode, not expensive.we will come back to this hotel at the next time. thank you MAX.
B&B Civico is in a good area to see lots of important sights (The Coloseum Palatine Hils) for example. Our hosts Max &Gussiepe were very welcoming, and helpful with directions and buses.
Enthusiastic owner unique decoration close to station and colliseum secure three different doors to get in
On edge of seedy area , would not liked to arrived in the dark lampshade in room made of glass which sounded like windcharm when people walked across floor above
Max is an excellent host. He always had time to talk to us... The breakfast was just a few steps away from the B&B. The cappuccinos were excellent. We had half a sandwich (a lot of different choices) each but you could select several type of pastries. We loved the location as we were 15 min walk away from The Coliseum. We walked back from The Vatican in 45 min. We used the Metro only once in 3 days. There is an excellent restaurant around the corner "Rom Antica". As well, a small store selling 66cl Peroni beer for 1.20 Euro! Not to forget that you can walk to Termini Terminal in 10 min. Nothing fancy but adequate. Great quality price.
Max was extremely helpful with our ongoing travel needs . Nothing was too much trouble. He made us feel so welcome. We would go back there again and will recommend this quirky, funky little place to everyone. The room was great and decorated with fantastic movie posters. Super clean and a gratis litre of bottled water, and a room rate of €75 and Max would not accept a gratuity.
Max, the proprietor was very helpful and friendly. The location was close to the Colosseum. Good restaurants and gelato shops close by. The room is very basic, but clean and comfortable. Nice big towels. Good Internet connection. Water and juice provided at no additional cost.
Would suggest a bit more lighting in the rooms.
- super nice and helpful owners - beautifully decorated rooms - big, comfortable bed - all the facilities needed plus more (e.g. adapter, free water and coffee, cork screw,...) - only about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and the main train station and about 2 minutes to metro and trams
The location is close to Roma Termini, which was good for us. We liked the decor, including fabulous old movie posters, and appreciate the effort that went into it. The room was quiet and comfortable. Max was a very gracious and helpful host. __ Thank you Max for your efforts!
The neighborhood, like the rest of Rome, has quite a bit of litter in the streets.
-The attitude and the service provided by the staff was excellent. He was so kind and helpful! He even printed out a list of recommended restaurants with map for us! -The shower is so nice with a large space -The room is so stylish and equipped well even with bottle opener!
-It is a bit difficult to find the place -Breakfast can only be provided in a bar 50m away from the B&B, which is not so convenient.
Max was a wonderful host. Nothing was too much trouble, including our late arrival and early departure. Good sized rooms, laundry service, in a great location, a short walk to the metro station, and a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. Lots of good restaurants close to the B&B.
Only 1 minor issue. Breakfast offsite and not substantial enough to keep you going for a whole morning of sightseeing.
