Hotel Club Isola Sacra is a large property with a garden and outdoor swimming pool. It is located a 5-minute drive from Fiumicino center and Leonardo Da Vinci Airport. The hotel’s L’Antico Porto restaurant specializes in ancient recipes of Roman cuisine and dishes based on fresh fish. Meals are served in the elegant dining room or on the patio during summer. Rooms at Isola Sacra feature wood furniture, air conditioning and an interactive LCD TV with internet access, along with satellite and pay-per-view channels. Some rooms have hardwood floors and modern-style furniture. The property is 2.5 miles from the sandy beaches at Ostia and Fiumicino. It also provides quick access to the historic center of Rome and the airport with a shuttle-bus service. Hotel Rooms: 104

Location: Hotel is located 4 kilometers from Fiumicino Airport. Transportation: There are two methods to commute from Fiumicino Airport to the hotel: (1) hotel shuttle at cost of 6 Euros; transports guests from airport to hotel only ffrom 4:00p.m. to 9:15p.m.; or (2) Cotral public bus at cost of 1.20 Euros, available in front of Terminal 2 at Cotral bus stop. Purchase ticket inside Terminal 2 at Titoli food store. I suggest at the time you purchase a return ticket should you wish to take the bus from hotel to airport or from hotel to downtown Ostia. The bus was very reliable. The disadvantage of using the public bus is that the baggage storage under the bus is locked; therefore your baggage is either placed on bus seats of blocks the aisle. It is a 12-minute bus ride from the hotel to the airport. It only drops off passengers in front of Terminal 2, which is 50 meters from the entrance to Terminal 3. To reach Terminal 5 (flight to the U.S.A), go to the second floor of the terminal and wait outside at the orange sign for a shuttle bus to Terminal 5. To view Ostia Antica's archeological ruins and/or its castle, wait for a Cotral bus going in the direction of Ostia; there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. At the last stop, which is called Ostia-Lido, exit and purchase from "tabacchi" in front of the metro station 2 tickets at 1 Euro each for bus #4. When ascending the bus, ask the driver to tell you when to get off. Room: Contained 2 separate twin-sized beds, night stand tables, a desk, television with 10 channels including CNN, a small couch, a closet, and a mini fridge. The bathroom was large and clean. However, the shower stall's wall was cracked, as if it had previously imploded, and the water pressure was very weak (I was staying on the 3rd floor, this should not happen). The bathroom mirror had a 2-foot long crack. The walls must be very thin because when my inconsiderate neighbor decided it was necessary to flush the toilet at 4a.m. Male receptionist was lazy, discourteous, and breached safety and security of guests. The male receptionist did not feel it was his duty to greet me at the reception desk when I stood waiting for service. While waiting at the desk, I said I would like to check in, as it was obvious he preferred to sit at his inner office desk and look at me as if I was just standing there for no particular reason. Upon being provided with the room key, I requested my passport back and was told I could not receive it now, and that I should come downstairs in 5 minutes when he will return it to me. There was nobody else in the reception area / lobby waiting to be checked in / waiting to ask for information. When I returned, I observed my passport sticking out of a key box, available for anyone to steal when reception staff feel lazy and return to sit at their inner office desk. The hotel's policy is to demand you deposit your key when you leave the hotel during the day, and when you return to request it, you are made to wait in the line for people to check in / check out of the hotel, and then any key you request is given to you, without any security check to determine if indeed you should be provided with the request key. Respect for guests, for their passports, and for the safety of their belongings and general room safety is clearly lacking at this hotel. High cost of internet access: 7 Euros per hour!

The night receptionnist, they were very informative, very welcoming, felt really like I was at home. I was at ease. Made it very sad to leave behind new friends. The shuttles runs up to only a certain time and not later, my flight reached after 9:30, so i was obliged to pay a taxi.

A nice facility with a good restaurant menu. We found the staff to be somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful. The front desk staff did not provide the kind of help we expect a hotel to give its guests. For example, we asked about various ways to get into Rome for the day (and their respective costs); when I asked about a train the lady at the desk told me it would cost about 50 Euro (similar to the cost of the shuttle bus) for my wife and I, round trip. Contrary to that, we found (on our own) that we were able to take a local train into Rome for just 4 Euros total, round trip. When we asked if she had heard anything about the weather expected for the following day, she informed us that she didn't have time to sit and watch the TV. Very rude.

The hotel was very clean. The resturant was excellent. The shuttle was somewhat expensive. Inquired about a taxi for the next morning to the airport since there was no early morning shuttle service and was told it would be 20 Euro's When taxi arrived in morning, was inforned by hotel staff, cost would be 25 Euro'S. When arrived to Airport, taxi driver wanted 30 Euro'S. Hotel staff should be able to insure one of cost to an airport when located so closely to the airport.

The rooms very very well decorated, comtemporain style, I loved it The restaurant of the hotel where we had dinner was a very bad experience. The meat wasn't cooked properly, they came 2 times to redo the meat, and they never finished the service. We ended up leaving without desert and coffee. I never experienced a poor service like that in my life.... They should be advise of that.

Hotel restaurant is really good. We were surprised of the delicious seafood dishes and the service was great specially in the evening. We were two families with 7 kids and got special attention. Kids could try to make pizza and were very happy. Hotel pool area with garden is also great even that it is still little unfinished. We came from Tuscany and stayed only one night before before flight back home but could stay longer if visiting Rome with children. air condition in our room did not work properly and it was very hot in the night. Hope that will be fixed soon.

It's location relative to the closeness of the Airport. It was clean and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was also nice. The shuttle 'pick up' from the airport to the hotel was poorly marked and difficult to find even with the printed location information (under the big sign...Armani) and it was very late...we waited about an hour and a half.

The hotel has a good location to everyone who needs to be cloose to Rome Fuimiccino airport. The shuttle service airport-hotel is expensive (6€ per person), considering the short distance.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were good and clean. The restaurant attached was very pleasant with very nice staff. Three reasons why I booked the hotel, pool (this was closed), shuttle from airport (no signs where to pick up bus so missed it) shuttle arranged at charge with hotel (dropped us off in Rome and didn't pick us up again! Luckily for me and two small children I had their number on my phone... or we would still be there!)

Easy to find from the airport very new and modern The part of the hotel we were staying in was still being built and we were woken by hammering and sawing at 7 am. The staff in the restaurant were a little "up themselves" for my liking

Everything met my expectation but strangely there in no mention in the booking.com voucher or Hotel website on how get the shuttle from the airport. The shuttle leave every 30 min from PARKING N. 28 of Arrivals Terminal. When you get out of arrivals turn right and walk 10-15 min until you see number signs above parking lots. Stop by n. 28. The shuttle (8 seaters van) has the Isola Sacra logo along with other hotels logos. The service costs 6 euro per person per trip, you will be invoice at check out.

We stayed because I had an early flight out of Rome Fiumicino the next morning - an early enough flight that getting there from where I live in italy was impossible the same day. We drove down, drove into the little port, came back, slept well, woke rested. We left to early for breakfast but my wife planned to drive back for it as it's included in the room price. Before luxury hotels started costing $1000 a night this might have qualified - it's very nice. The only reason I would stay there is to catch an early flight - and I will certainly do so again. It was all great. Used their wi-fi to download my boarding pass, emailed it to them and they printed it. Everyone was kind. Those who spoke English spoke it well.

Our room was very nice and the shower was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a let down. There was no bar in the hotel. That is a place to sit and relax.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, big comfortable modern rooms & bathrooms, clean Breakfast is OK, however only 1 coffee machine working, which implies that you have to wait most of the time, is strange and quite ridiculous for this kind of hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. Its proximity to Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino) has been the first attraction. It's only ten minutes away by taxi. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good; the restaurant, the Porto Antico, excellent. I do not hesitate to recommend it very strongly to anyone. The only thing I did not like about the hotel concerns the navetta service, both to the airport and to the city centre. It is currently offered against payment. It should be made free, even if the price has to be included elsewhere. The second point is that the service to and from the city centre should be offered at more regular intervals. The navetta service should be an attraction, an incentive to book at this hotel.

I stayed one night at the hotel as I arrived at night at Fiumicino airport. The hotel was not only convenient for the airport but also for my car rental company. The hotel was nice in every aspect and the price extremely low. 45 euro and double would have been acceptable for me as well. Maybe because it was the night of 24-25 December and prices might have been reduced...

I liked its proximity to the Rome airport and I was surprisingly pleased with the hotel. Our meal at the hotel's restaurant was very good. The scale at the hotel did not work. It would have been very helpful if we were able to weigh our bags before checking-in at the airport.

“If you want to be near the airport but not at the airport, if you want comfort without a chain atmosphere, this is the place. This was a relaxing location for our last night in Italy before our flight home. We enjoyed walking along the seaside boardwalk, the wifi in the hotel, the great bed and linens, the wonderful staff, and the HOT BREAKFAST even early early in the morning. This place was exactly what we needed and I love it!” Christopher, Los Angeles |
