Score from 56 reviews Excellent
The host was friendly and polite.
But the location (on a wide gloomy boulevard, not quite within walking distance of the station, and a bit of a way from the Colisseum) is neither one thing nor the other. The kitchen didn't have a microwave; it was a bit cold; the wifi took time to work. If the cost was E25 a night, I'd say go for it. But at E70, you can do better.
Gianluca was great with us since our arrival! He gave us all the insights to have an excellent stay at Rome, the room's hotel were very clean and safe, the location is great, clean bathroom and the internet is ok. Thank you for great stay! Greetings from México!
There's no reception desk for this place. You have to ring the bell at the door when you arrive. The man (who looks after and cleans the place) was there to show us to our room and was very helpful in recommending us places to visit and dine in Rome. It was a clean and cosy room and I liked the spaciousness and furniture setting of the room as well. My friend and I had the best gelati in Italy which he recommended us. We're still craving for it now! My highlight of the Italy trip would be the gelati and carbonara from his recommendations! I only saw the manager, Gianluca on my last day. He was very friendly too, gave us travel tips and recommending us where to dine at our next destination, Naples. A very knowledgeable man and had the best spoken English from my Italy trip. Overall, my experience in Rome was very positive because we had the best food in Italy and good accomodation at Coliseum Rooms.
The shower drain can be a bit blocked in the shower room. Doors are a bit thin so you can't talk too loud in case you disturb the other guests.
Close to metro. Gianluca is so sweet! Walks you through everything, always has suggestions. Really goes out of his way. Communal fridge to share. Room was SUPER clean.
Hard to find! No signage! Thin walls. So many keys to keep track of to get back in hotel.
Great location. Safe and very close to main attractions. The appartment is really nice and comfy, and the host was very helpful.
The shower. We were 4 friends staying and it was not planned for 4 people.
Gianluca, the owner and host, was very welcoming and took time to show us all of the must see sights and places to eat, away from the most touristy areas.
Is it quite noisy at night which can make it hard to have an interrupted nights sleep
Great staff, friendly and really helpful. Also great location, you can visit everything by foot :)
It was the wrong choice for our needs . A cheaper accommodation quite comfortable but air-conditioning wasn't working which was annoying as it was very hot . We wouldn't stay there again. Adequate accommodation though .
Instructions of which property to meet us at wasn't very clear .consequently we arrived at wrong place and took one half hours to get across town to right place. They wanted cash payment not credit card .
It has a refrigerator and kitchen.
Reception is not always open and it need to reserve before you arrive.
It was very convenient and centrally located.
No air conditioning so windows had to be open in a very noisy neighbourhood.
The room was lovely and we were upgraded to another building with our own bathroom which was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived late.
Because there was no air conditioning you needed the windows open which meant it was very noisy.
We stayed in the new Coliseum Rooms apartment in the Monti neighborhood and couldn't recommend it enough! The apartment itself is incredibly spacious and includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The street has tons of Italian charm and many authentic restaurants. The best thing about this apartment, however, is the amazing location! It is STEPS from the Roman Forum. We walked around the corner and saw the Coliseum right down the street! We highly recommend this apartment :)
Gianluca was incredibly helpful, friendly and polite and speaks perfect English as well as other languages. The hotel was clean, bright and nice to be in. Breakfast was taken at a café across the road and was a great start to every day!
There was nothing to dislike during our stay, maybe the only minor thing would be the building work going on around the hotel grounds, however this cannot be helped by the hotel!
Location, price and host.
Perfect rooms in a perfect location!!! I want to fully recommend this flat for a wonderful stay in Rome!!!
Just home from a few days stay in the Coliseum rooms and absolutely loved it. The manager Gianluca could not have been more helpful and made our stay all the more enjoyable. He gave us tips on where to go and things to do, all of which we loved. I have never been anywhere where we have been made to feel so welcome. As for the accommodation itself, the room was clean, modern and spacious. We could not have asked for any better! If I was to go to Rome again, I would definitely be staying here. A massive thumbs up!!!
The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated, Gianluca was extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend time giving suggestions, pointing things out on the map, etc., and Rome is a lovely city! You will enjoy your stay at Coliseum Rooms :)
Keep in mind that reception is not 24 hours and be sure to plan your check-in/check-out accordingly!
Good location, the staff was very helpful. At first sight we were concerned because there wasn't anyone waiting for us in the hotel, but then we called the number in the door and someone arrived 5 minutes later. Breakfast is very simple but good (1 croissant and 1 hot beverage), served in the bar across the street.
The heater wasn't working properly in our room.
Great well designed apartment in a central area of Rome. Walking distance to major attractions (i.e Coliseum and Trevi fountain), as well as metro station at end of street takes you directly to the Vatican. The owner and staff were great with communication before we arrived and provided fantastic local advice on things to do in Rome. Apartment was quiet at night and bed very comfortable, much appreciated after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Bathrooms clean and great to have free access to computer plus wifi. Thank you for such a wonderful stay in Rome.
Brilliant place to stay, couldnt of asked for more, its clean, stylish, and has a good location
The staff was awesome, I booked a room and my brother booked another with his girl. My brother was leaving one day earlier but decided to stay last minute, it was a non issue. Both people in charge were extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10, if you are looking for a B&B in Rome, this is it.
The location was great, very close to everything. The apartment was clean with new forniture, just the bathroom could have been better. The guy who gave us the key was friendly and helpfull!! I will see you on my next trip to Rome!! Thank you
The shower was not great and the apartment was not bright bacause it was only one windows! Price was high but probably it was about the new year eve week!!
Great stay at coliseum rooms, Everything was perfect.
room was quite nice and clean
-no 24h a day reception -too many keys given to visitors, I'd like to get only 1 key to my room, and not 4 to different doors!
