Hotel Colombina is gevestigd in een historisch pand aan een typisch Venetiaanse gracht, met uitzicht op de nabijgelegen Brug der Zuchten. Het ligt op 100 meter van het San Marco-plein. Goede ontvangst en vriendelijk en behulpzaam Wij hadden door gegeven dat we vroeg moesten vertrekken(5 uur) en als er een mogelijk inzat om ontbijt te krijgen,geen probleem we zorgen wel voor een ontbijt pakket en koffie kan u altijd vragen. Toen we om 5 uur in de morgen aan de receptie stonden om af te rekenen vroegen voor ons ontbijt,maar daar was niets genoteerd zei de man,ok kunnen we dan een koffie krijgen vroegen we ? Sorry, dat zal niet lukken want de bar is dicht. Spijtig dat we eigenlijk wel betaald hebt voor het ontbijt en niet gekregen!

Mooie ligging, uitzicht op de brug der zuchten. Heel leuk als je extra boekt voor zicht op de gracht. 's avonds heel romantisch met de gondelaars die voorbijkomen en soms op gitaar en accordeon spelen en zingen. Jammer dat voor een 4 sterren niet standaard in het ontbijtbuffet eieren en spek opgenomen zijn.. Je kon er krijgen maar tegen extra betaling .

Uitstekend gelegen , de duurdere kamers hebben mooi uitzicht op het water. Mooi verzorgde kamer Weinig faciliteiten, geen internet op kamer en andere zakelijke faciliteiten in hotel (printen e.d.). Weinig informatie over wat er gaande is in Venetie. Correct maar niet erg vriendelijke balie personeel. Wij zaten in een van de dure kamers die was mooi ingericht en redelijk ruim .Andere kamers zijn minder en zoals alles in Venetie is het aan de dure kant en te weinig faciliteiten voor ****. Maar ondanks dit tegenover mening ander otel daar toch prima.

Positive impressions start well before arrival: welcome mail with description of facilities and services, which gives an idea how to spend your time in Venice Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Any concert, tour, private guide to show hidden treasures of the city, all is well organized! All that makes the trip a real pleasure!

I think, if I pay 350 Euro per night, somebody should prepare the bed for the night. It is devastating, that this doesnt happen at the Colombina.

Super location. Staff friendly and helpful Bathroom needed updating. If my partner had been with me he wouldn't have fitted in the shower which wasn't a power shower and very poor. Lighting was too dim I could hardly read.

1) This is not a four star hotel - only three star for 2012!!!! 2) The problem with the drainage of water in the bathroom. 3) Very bad noise isolation - hear who and how many times went to the toilet. 4) Meager breakfast.

Hotel Colombina was beautiful and in the perfect location. The staff was wonderful, especially Marco (I believe that was his name) at the front desk. He recommended a wonderful restaurant and steered us away from one he didn't think would suit us. We found everyone to be accomodating and so pleasant. Loved our stay! The beds were a bit too hard, but from what I understand that is typical in Italy and it really didn't bother me.

Location, staff, room. We had to rooms as a familiy where one was in the anex. We needed to pay 20 euro extra per day for eating breakfast together. The website I order from diden't say anything about that...:(

Just location. Steps away from S. Marco and the shopping area. I had a terrible experience with this hotel the 1st night. The reception was ok but the room was just awful. Even though heater was off, the room was like an oven! I decided to open the window since weather was great but mosquitoes started attacking. I woke up at 4am and called reception and the guy was helpless. I woke up again at 6 and went down to him asking for a solution but he told me to wait until 7 when his colleague arrives! I waited and the other guy's reaction was "ok we have to wait for technician to solve the heater's problem!!" Anyways, at the end I insisted they change the room and they finally did.

Quiet, yet close to Piazza San Marco and other sightseeings. Staff was very helpful and kind, breakfast was good, room was great. I recommende this Hotel, it is so beauteful.

Everything was even better than i expected. Stayed during busy Carnavale time, but it was absolutely not noisy. And just 5 minutes to San. Marco. The rooms were rather spacious and very warm. The bathroom very clean and also warm. The staff - extremely nice and attentive. Breakfast - very nice, espesially home made croissants and cakes. No problems with late arrival, everything is very efficient. The best 4 stars hotel in Venice i have ever stayed. And again - location, location. The staff was wearing historic costumes during the carnaval, it was really very nice. Stayed 5 nights and it was really like returning home every night. Delightful hotel!

The Colombina is a gem. It's location in the center of Venice on a lovely canal is perfect! It's a few minutes walk to everything you'll want to see. The room was over the top lovely. And the hotel was priced reasonably for what it offered. Go for a few days, you will love it!

The staff and location was amazing. So welcoming and the location. Fantastic I felt the heat in the hotel corridors was suffocating. The rooms were goop because you could turn the heat down

The location was perfect. 2 minutes from St Mark's Square. 5 mins to Rialto. Very helpful staff lovely decor in hotel and room. Would not hesitate to recommend. Will definitely be going back.Although we were booked into the annexe we were actually in the main hotel. I could not comment on the annexe.

The hotel is located very close to piazza San Marco, about 3 minutes walk. The staff are friendly and polite and communication in english was easy. The decoration is also beautiful. Our room was clean. Generally a very good experience. The breakfast is extremely poor, both in quantity and quality. Apart from that we came up a big dissapointment. Hotel colombina is a 4-star hotel. If you book the annex double room they send you to another building next to the main hotel, they call it Locanda Remedio. Locanda Remedio is not a 4-star facility, it's a 3-star facility. We weren't informed about it and we found out after we were gone. We tried communicate the hotel and express our dissapointment but the only answer we got was very general and explained nothing. I consider this to be an extremely important mislead on part of the hotel. They advertise 4 stars but you might get 3 stars. Unacceptable.
