Brindisi centre is 13 minutes drive from the Airport. We enjoyed our short stay there before exploring Puglia. We decided to return to the City on our last day as we loved the restaurants along the port, particularly Betty’s

A relatively quiet port town, more popular with Italian tourists than foreigners. Great for an authentic Italian holiday experience- not too fancy but with a pretty promenade and a good choice of restaurants and shops. Good train connection with some attractions of the area, but not all of them (there are different railway companies in this area and some more distant journeys need good planning). Be sure to use the water tram to cross the harbour- it costs one bus ticket and it's very pleasant:)

Brindisi is nice place but I felt more a stop off place on the way to alternative locations. We travelled to Monopoli and Alberobella by train and both were amazing . Also took a train to Lecce which is nice too but we arrived when most shops/restaurants were closed for siesta so hard to really give a true picture. We were slightly disappointed with the food generally.. plenty of pizzerias but found it hard to get spaghetti bolognaise or Lasagna on any menu.

Wandering through Brindisi’s narrow streets filled with...
Wandering through Brindisi’s narrow streets filled with quaint houses and Baroque buildings is like stepping back in time. The town's stunning architecture is a blend of different influences, reflecting its rich cultural heritage. Visit the Cathedral of Brindisi, with its beautiful blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles, or admire the majestic Palazzo Granafei-Nervegna, a noble residence turned contemporary art museum. The Column of St. Lawrence is another architectural gem, standing tall since the Roman times. Brindisi’s location along the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea grants it access to breathtaking beaches and a picturesque coastline. We selected the Hemingway Beach.

We really enjoyed Brindisi at night, the downtown area was lovely and very walkable. It is also a great location for lots of day trips to other great spots nearby. We visited Ostuni, Gallipoli, Leece and Bari on day trips from Brindisi.

Brindisi itself is very small and there’s not much to do.
Brindisi itself is very small and there’s not much to do. It’s not that well known, there aren’t lots of tourists and therefore the infrastructure isn’t fully developed to cater to tourist’s needs. Only a few people spoke a little bit of English. You def need a car if you want to see things located around Brindisi.
I recommend this place to stay in Brindisi as it offers good comfort in a well located place, only 5mn walk to the port and the station (bus and train), and 10mn to the airport (bus or taxi). The welcome was very friendly (with a good communication with the hotel before we arrived) and the surrounding areas have plenty of restaurants, cafes or shops.
Brindisi seems to be overlooked by tourists while it should not as it is a nice quiet city, boasting interesting monuments, nice views of the port and very nice food.
Agrumento degli Angeli felt like home. We especially enjoyed the garden, the comfort and the prime location (near the train station and the city center). Fausto was incredibly kind and even gave us a lift to the airport. We appreciate that greatly! We'd love to visit again.

PS: For the animal lovers, there's a cat sanctuary just around the corner. Il Regno di Zio Ray or the Colonia Felina does an amazing job rescuing and taking care of cats and is well worth the visit.
The check-in was swift and smooth, and in my case contactless. I got a very clear instructions from the host, who communicated very friendly and to the point. The apartment is located very conveniently close to a supermarket, a bakery, a saefood restaurant and the train station, this making the facilty a perfect option to overnight on your way south to the beaches. The apartment itself was comfortable enough, in a quiet area. I had a great sleep.
There is little in terms of choice in Brindisi. This hotel has two elements, the hotel itself and an annex which contains suites. We stayed in the latter which is some 100 mtrs from the main building. The room was large and clean but the hotel is pretty soul-less although the staff are very friendly and do their best. The breakfast is adequate.
The hotel is really well situated! We were able to go everywhere by foot. The room and the bathroom are clean and cosy! Sara is the best host, she made sure everything was ok for us at all time. She suggested amazing restaurants, gave us very good advise, was always here to answer our questions, was very helpful and friendly! (Thank you!!!!!)
The apartment is great and equipped with everything you could need for a stay in Brindisi. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and you could tell the owners put thought into creating a comfortable stay for their guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, and will share this property with my friends who are traveling to Salento.
Our own private entrance was a real plus, gave a sense of freedom. That combined with the quiet though central location made Brindisi even better. Felt like home a bit.
Great host; explained the airport shuttle, the ferry, recommended restaurants, nice welcome.
Good shower, normal sized bathroom with all the necessaries present.
Perfect accommodation, superb service, everything was just wonderful. Clean and top quality equipment, new and cosy. Silent place with a great swimming pool and a shower open 24/7. Self-bar open 24/7 too.
Easy access from the airport, very good base for trips around Puglia and surrounding beaches and cities.
Fabio , a great host really helpful , knowledgeable gave us some really good hints for what to eat and where , where to go to enjoy the real Italy feel and experience ! Room was great with a great location in walking distance from everything .
Grazie Fabio, è stato un piacere conoscerti !
Brilliant location...near airport and near all the facilities ..near the car hire depo...secure parking beautiful pool...relaxing atmosphere would definitely come back again room were clean and spacious beautiful well kept gardens...first time at hotel minerva can't wait to come back...!!!
This property is by far the best place I have stayed in Brindisi, and one of my most favorite vacation rentals ever! The owners clearly care about their property and the experience of their guests. They thought of every detail and every need. We had a WONDERFUL stay at the Green Palace.
Friendly, helpful staff person gave me a free room upgrade to start off. Parking in a structure nearby was easy and affordable. Location was perfect for getting around downtown area. And Brindisi itself was a real discovery. Lovely limestone pavement almost everywhere!
The apartment was very spacious and clean. The area where it was located was nice and quiet.
There are bus stops to the city centre and the beach not far away from the apartment
The communication with the owner was easy. And she replied to the messages quickly.
The room is very clean, the jaccuzi and the shower are amazing. The bed is very comfortable. And the service is perfect, Giuseppe is a fabulous host !!
Its better than 4 stars hôtel we did in Italy !
- Location: right across the street from a beautiful FREE public beach (just south of Mare128)
- Easy access with a rental car to the rest of Puglia
- Host was very responsive and helpful
Location was excellent and convenient for me to go to work and access a good restaurant when I came back from work. Close to the main shopping areas in Brindisi.
