Great location, Clean and nice rooms, Friendly staff, well equipped
*location *wifi *privacy *Secure *calm
Proximity to coliseum. The kitchen was well equipped.
The facilities were not clean. There was mold on the tiles and walls in the bathroom. We had two rooms of different types. They were located in different buildings 3 blocks from each other. We were told this was our fault. On the third and last night of our stay the drains overflowed in the bathroom leaving it with smell of sewage.
Location....5 minute walk to the Colosseum! Cleaniness, presentation, security was great. Was pleasently surprised by the quality of the accommodation given how cheap the room is! The accommodation was spacious! Owners and staff were lovely and so very helpful. Even after we checked out they still provided assistance. If you are staying in Rome this is fantastic accommodation.
The hotel is very close to the Colosseum (like 10-15min walk) and we could literally see it when we arrived at the hotel. The staff were really nice and willing to accommodate our late arrival.
The wifi in the room was really weak --but it was okay considering that we arrived really late at night and fell right asleep.
Great location, definitely deserved high mark on booking.com. Very clean, nicely situated, great coffee bar downstairs, yet quiet enough. This was our second stay there, and most likely we will return to the same place. That says a lot, doesn't it?
There was no one at the "hotel reception" when we arrived and we were stuck outside the door for over 2 hours. A note was left with a number to call, but we didn't have international roaming, when we were able to find someone who would phone the number there was no answer, twice. Finally, someone from another B&B was able to help us get hold of the people and helped us get our keys, we never actually met anyone from House Monti. When we got our keys we weren't told which number, or where the unit was. We had to try each door in the building only to find out it was actually in another building. The other B&B owner was helpful enough to show us where the other block was up a few blocks and down a dodgey alleyway. Nothing like what the pictures showed. Again, we didn't know which number we were so had to try each door on each floor until we found the one our keys opened. The actual unit was ok, but nothing like what the pictures showed. I would never stay here or recommend it to anyone.
Close to the Colosseum which is good if you are doing Rome in the summer. Short walk, about 10 mins, for a cool shower and ready to go at it again. The staff, especially Lala, has been very helpful. The neighborhood has a Conad close by for some cheap supplies, so you don't have to eat out all the time. There's an active and lively night gathering at the piazza nearby, but we were not bothered by this, nor were the children.
Rome can be hot in the summer, and due to some energy saving measures (which I agree with), the AC can infrequently be inadequate, and I hate to know how it is in Rome in August. The shower head in the suite was loose and needs to be fixed.
Large, clean and an excellent base to discover rome. Lots of great places to eat and drink within a 2 min walk.
The hosts were not very helpful when we were trying to book a taxi when leaving.
Location as we could see the colosseum from our suite it was easy to find.
While House Monti 1875 was advertised as a hotel, it really is an appartment, with no staff on desk from after 4pm until 10am the next morning.
It was very pretty
The air conditioning was minimal. Very noisy from outside.
Whilst not a problem for us, some guest may not like that there isn't staff on site 24 hours a day.
Top location, living like a local, supermarkt around the conner. Great service and support before arrivel, landlord sent us email with details so we did not have problem to find it. After check in he got us to our apartment few meters from office in other building. Monti area is very popular for young people with good restaurant and vintage shops.
Considered it was only a three night stay, the room was cleaned on a daily basis, the sheets and the towels got changed daily as well. Location is only 5 minute walk from Colloseum and the Metro Station.
Could do with some darker curtains as the ones we had were see through, and therefore when the light was on people from the street and a house just opposite our windows could see us. This is not a critics, but just a constructive suggestion.
Very good location. Decent rooms and although there was a bar with live music on Saturdays below the live music stopped at 9:00 so no problems. Also bar serving breakfast on ground floor. Lots of nice small restaurants nearby. All main "sights" within walking distance (but maybe metro best to get to the Vatican. Located in safe area
The owner was very nice and helpful. No problem with the room and was very close to major sights.
Party at fountain nightly. Could become noisy. No breakfast.
Great location and standards.
Wi fi didn't work until the last night of my staying due to the provider and not to the accommodation staff.
The superior studio was extremely spacious and well laid out, with a mezzanine for the bed room and a large, comfortable bed. On a fairly quiet backstreet, but still in the heart of Rome, seconds from good bars and restaurants and nice squares. Pretty reliable Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel employee made us drag our heavy suitcases up the stairs of the main hotel, before telling us our studio was located elsewhere; it would have been easier to meet her there. They didn't accept cash and we spent half an hour wandering around the area trying to find a cash machine. We ran out of hot water on the first morning.
It was very clean and well perfomed inside, very clean and beautiful! It was quite close to transportation(3 minutes walking) and quite central. We were very satisfied.
No that we had any problem with the room, but if we had there was noone there to ask for help. We just had a number to call. The wi-fi connection was not always easy to find and when found quite slow!
the location is perfect. Room is cozy and neat.
Good location but noisy. The window shield cannot close and the window curtain is not so light proof.
Location was great. Loved the apartment style arrangements. Area was safe. Some may think off beating path. It closed to transportation. Located to great places to eat.
Lost power for one night. Could be reset, if I new where the main box was.
Clean, fresh, cozy.
it was second stay in the same apartment- ADRIANO- the one with view to COLOSSEUM!from bedroom window-fantastic.a lot of restaurant just round the corner, close to Fori Imperiali and Capitol, metro Cavour-one station from termini-buses to airports,large,two-room apartment with equipped kitchenette, big blue fridge, air condition but also traditional heating, smell of coffee from the cafeteria downstairs in the morning, wide comfy bed for two, nice furniture, lights, fresh towels, good working wi-fi,very helpful staff. very good price for service.possibility of accommodation for 4 people.next year we will come back for sure.
