Well located with fab atmosphere outside with the locals. Plenty of places to eat 24/7 you can cook a meal in hotel room also. Closing shutters at night made it completly soundproof and dark. Amazing place.

Having to leave...it was fab waking up to see the colosum...how lucky were we.

we stayed in a beautiful apartment fully equipped.the staff was great. we couldn't do the check in before 4 o'clock , but they gave us all the informations we need by e-mail and phone to reach the apartment and to come in. we had a very pleasant stay and for sure we will come back to stay here, when we want to stay in the city centre

The staff were fantastic and a help yourself breakfast was included free of charge. The staff gave great recommendations to restaurants and tourist spots. Amazing location, right round the corner from the Colosseum. Would stay there again!

Fantastic location.

Do not expect to have any assitance from "staff": it is one of those hotels without reception. We were 2 couples and booked 2 bedrooms. The hotel "staff" placed us in two different buldings in Rome, which was a major upset (bedrooms have no telephone, and it was not possible to contact our relatives who were placed in the other building). When contacting the "staff" we were told there was nothing they could do about it. When travelling in a group, I strongly suggest to contact hotel "staff" before booking to make sure that the group will be placed in the same building.

Fantastic location very close to colleseum , beautiful old building

Walls were like paper you could hear everything very noisy and we could not use shower the first day as it flooded downstairs apartment and then we had to move rooms then had no hot water

we had a room / appartment which was 5 minutes walking from the hotel, this wasn't a problem bur the bathroom was rather moist. So if we would return to Rome, we'll certainly book again in house monti but ask for a room in the hotel

Absolutely perfect servis few meters from old city...we arleady thinking to go back there next year because we really loved it.

Loved our little "annex" room which had its own entrance, a kitchen, a fridge, we were completely independant, which is exactly what we needed for our romantic weekend! :)

The secratary was very helpful with all info about Rome.facilities at the kitchen and very comfortable bed.10mnutes walk from Colosseum.

Location is perfect and staff support with every question you may have. Modern and clean rooms and every day cleaning service which is unique for B&B. Very good place.

It is called B&B but as you book you see that breakfast is not served. This is not a problem as you have plenty restaurants in the area. Location is perfect but if you count on sleeping with open window forget about it as the noise from the street is quite significant.

I visited Rome 4 days alone, the important thing for me as a woman traveling alone is a safe and pleasant location and well I found it in house monti. Good environment, was close to the metro station and many attractions around within walking distance. The rooms were very nice and clean and the staff was nice There are a great cafes and great ice cream around!

Awesome! Large room, large bathroom, free wifi, lcd tv, very modern furnitures, comfortable bed, decent location. We stayed in superior room. It was amazing. Hotel staffs was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and safety. We went everwhere on foot. We loved it so much. We had perfect holiday. If you go to Rome, definitely recommend that you can stay at the House Monti.

It is in the middle of the city, very close to colloseum. The building is an old, but a good preserved one. The old ceiling of the room is still visible. The room (superior) has a view on the street, and its big. The bed is comfortable, air conditioning working ok, tv is good, they have a jakuzi, fridge and free wi fi.

It is on the second floor of a building in residential area. If you come with a lot of bags, you have to carry them to second floor. Besides, you have to arrive to the hotel until 17. If you come later, you have to call the hotel. The staff works until 20 o clock. The rooms other than superior have no street view and i think they are smaller, maybe no windows.

Excellent location. Very near the Coliseum. Very near the metro station "Cavour". Many shops and cafes around. A good pasticceria in the street. Excellent accomodation. The superior room is very large, beautiful with a very large bathroom witj jacuzzi. Excellent phonic isolation. The hotel staff is very friendly.

The only concern is to contact House Monti when you arrive. You need a digicode to enter... When we arrived around noon, nobody replied to the interphone or to the mobile phone (maybe the staff was temporary absent from the office)... But by waiting some minutes, we succeeded in contacting easily the staff.

The staff was very helpful in accommodating our needs and they were always very friendly. The location was unbelievable. Walk out the door, look up the street and the Roman Colosseum was right there. We easily walked to it. We also had easy access to the Metro. The streets all around had fun little shops and several eating spots. The room was clean and beautiful. All together, it was an enjoyable stay.

We couldn't figure out how to call the lift. This could be due to operator error. We carried luggage up one flight of stairs.

Be aware that this is a "guest house", with none of the amenities of a hotel. There is someone at the desk from 10 am to 7 pm only. Other than that, I don't know what you do if you need something or have a question. The area it is in is VERY crowded and busy. My friend and I were there one night, as a layover before flying home the next morning. All we wanted was to sleep. There happened to be a festival a half block away with rock bands playing till the early hours of the morning, pounding away, and the sounds of hundreds of people milling about. Oh, and the street lights shine in the windows with now way to block them, no shades. Needless to say, we did not sleep. I certainly wish we had stayed in a normal hotel. I honestly can't imagine recommending this location.

this hotel is nice way to experience a non-hotel living in Rome, no sign showing it's a "hotel", we were at a private condo in a alley, but very safe. i like the room it's very clean and comfort !

the hot water somehow will run out, coz we shower in the morning, and after one person shower, the hot water may be used up, then will need to wait for a while till there's hot water, i am not sure if it's just our room has this problem, but it's not too serious for us, because we will go out to have breakfast in the neighborhood while waiting.
