Hotel Commercio & PellegrinoCalle delle Rasse 4551, Castello, 30122 Venice (Show map) Very good, Score from 186 reviews“The hotel is well located to enjoy the sights and sounds of Venice.”
Gary,
Hope Island
The Hotel Commercio & Pellegrino is fantastically located right in the heart of Venice just a 5 minute walk down the city’s characteristic charming, narrow streets from Piazza San Marco. Its privileged location makes it an ideal base for those who want to explore Europe’s most romantic city. Situated behind Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is very close to the water bus stops with convenient arrivals from Tronchetto, Piazzale Roma, the main train station and Marco Polo Airport. The comfortable guest rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences and throughout winter complimentary tea and delicious Italian pastries can be enjoyed in the afternoon. The hotel staff will be happy to provide information about this enchanting city’s main attractions and even provide you with umbrellas on rainy days. Hotel Rooms: 25

The best thing about this hotel is probably how easy it was go get there. It is about 5minutes walking distance (with suitcases) from the varporetto (boat) stop, which is what you need to catch from the airport. So this was incredibly handy. It's also extremly close to San Marco Basilica so we were able to get there early and avoid the queues. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was great. Cold meats, cheese, bread rolls, pastries, fruit salad (tinned, but still good) + cereals, yoghurt and usual hot drinks. It was nice to not have to work out where to have b'fast when in a new city. My biggest complaint or disappointment is how expensive internet was. 6 euros for 1 hour or 12 euros for 20 hours. No in between. We were only there for 2 nights, so not likely to use the 20 hours, but we had to book future accomodation, so 1 hour wouldn't be enough. Would have been nice to have an in between.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hotel Commercio & Pellegrino and we can thoroughly recommend it. The staff are always so helpful and friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast which is included was freshly presented daily and of very good quality. Apart from the hotel itself the best thing about it, is that is is so close to all the main attractions that visitors may wish to visit on their stay in Venice. A great hotel and a very enjoyable stay.

Booked early and got a good price. Our request for 2 single beds was met even though they appeared as one double. The room was smaller than shown but they all are it seems. We were amused that the the cleaning staff were endlessly in and out remaking our beds while we were out after calling back for much needed rests. The breakfast was especially great with a large selection of food to choose from. As a couple of guys with not too high expectations, we were surprised at the friendliness and service. Would recommend to similar travellers.

So close to the water taxi and St Mark's square. Set in quite the most charming and quaint Calle. Lots of nice and affordable restaurants close by. Helpful staff. No access to internet.

The location of this hotel is exceptional. You are just off the canal with boats leaving in all directions, including to the airport. St Marks Square just a few minutes walk. No getting lost here, which was important as I arrived in the evening. My room was a single and small but the bathroom was fine. There was air-conditioning (noisy) and a lift to the 3rd floor (working). Hotel staff were helpful.

I absolutely admired the location of the hotel! Just 10+!!! The stuff was helpful and nice, which I also appreciated a lot! Thank you! The breakfast was quite average, but still ok for a 3-star hotel. I know that hotels are really expensive in Venice, but I would say that bathroom needs renovation (at least in the room I stayed). Me personally would also appreciate if public printer in the lobby were working. I also regret that my room was pretty small. I had to check my work mails and the only place I could sit with my laptop - was my bed, the table was occupied with a tv

The room I was given was fine and had a nice view to some Venice rooftops. The prices of the minibar in the room were extremely reasonable. Bravo for this. The room was clean and the location perfect. It is situated 30 meters from one of the most central vaporetto stop (St Zaccharia) and is right next to the famous Danielli Hotel. No real problems. I would appreciate it if the WiFi was free.

Great value for the money. Excellent location, in the heart of Venice, but situated on a quiet street. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable accomodations. Have stayed there before and would continue to return to this hotel in the future. Shower in need of cosmetic repair.

Location was perfect 2 steps from the vaporetto, easy to find. The staff on the desk were helpful informative and friendly. The air conditioning was great. Bathroom clean. I had to get on my hands and knees to look for something I had dropped to face dead spiders and thick dust. The breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is very well situated for many of Venice's top attractions and is also close to the drop off / pick up point for water taxis to and from the airport. The rooms are very clean, well furnished and decorated. The mini bar in the room is reasonably priced and has a good selection of drinks. Due to the central location of the hotel, it can sometimes get noisy at night and we were woken in the early hours on a couple of occasions by noise from late night revellers returning from a good night out! The choice of breakfast is limited.
